Isn't that because scrypt-n is 3x less speed than scrypt?
Optimal NSCRYPT config should be 45-50% of SCRYPT hashrste.

From MP News:
Quote
Aug 06 11:17 PM It has come to our attention that sgminerwindows.com may have been distributing trojan binaries that steal wallets. We have removed the link from our help page and do not advise anyone to use that site anymore. We will update our help section with a new link for sgminer binaries once we find a reliable source.

Wow, hold on, is this all versions of sgminer.exe, or ONLY the one downloaded from sgminerwindows.com site?
Please respond, and will virus checks pick this up, if so what is the trojan called?
This report is only about certain versions of sgminer from sgminerwindows.com .  That said, always be careful about binaries...

I think it is vital to release source code along with the binaries at launch.

I did take a look at the test client, but most of the changes are quite internal and are hard to debug or understand without source code.

The Andrew Laurus Story is not confirmed. I think it is just a hoax. Roll Eyes
I revealed Andrew Laurus's involvement in this thread based on public records of shareholders. It is not a hoax.  It is definitely confirmed.  If you want to see a copy of their shareholder records this year, you can PM me.

Props to PoolWaffle... a prime example of taking it all in stride.

Lol... created a second forum account to ask Fiaz (privately in PM) to explain why I was banned from the forums.  Result?  He banned the second account =p.

Priceless.

Phzi, this is additional grounds for the return of all your financials. The company is literally ignoring your communications and blocking your ability to communicate with them privately via their forums.

If you have or have not already filed a claim of any sort, this helps you drastically.

Legally... GG

Everyone who has been banned from Alpha forums is helped drastically as long as you include it in your defense / argument
Indeed. A tip: did the original terms also mention communication via forums?

The unfortunate part is that I doubt that any money is returned because it will have been spent. The best we can hope for is that they all spend some time in jail and lose all of their possessions.
They still have at least some money in the bank, because credit card companies have been successful in retrieving deposits for a few clients.

Better put your claim in soon tho, because there certainly won't be enough money to pay everyone back.

Code:
Sorry phzi, you are banned from using this forum!
This ban is not set to expire.

Lol... oh, Alpha-T.  Banning me for pointing out how everyone is fleeing the sinking ship.  Evidently, Fiaz still has his finger on the ban hammer (and obviously hasn't learned how to respect customers).

County Court time...  Just waiting for identify verification for my UK service address.

When i connect to waffle pool i lost 20% of my hashrate !
Is that mean the waffpool take 20% of hasrates for itself ?

You're lucky, it usually takes 25%.

NO, wafflepool takes nothing more than the 2% fee. Most of the times when hashrate is incorrectly displayed it's a problem on the user's end.
Hashrate as reported by pools is ALWAYS an estimate.  The pool doesn't know your real hashrate, it can only estimate it based on the shares you submit.

So, your hashrate as reported on a pool:
1. Is subject to variance (will drift up and down)
2. May be lower if you are getting hardware errors or encountering other issues.

Yeesh, you don't need devs right now.  And why the heck are you spamming this thread so frequently, CryptoLTD?

The correct fork is the longer fork that is compliant with the current daemon.  That's how blockchains works - the community reaches consensus, not the developers.

If you didn't read ghost.rider's post as a joke, you should have...

Now, that said, it was a rather racist and inappropriate joke; but, a joke none the less.  Let's move on now.

174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: July 31, 2014, 11:48:31 PM
does claymore's miner really shave off 20% ontop of the 5%  ? i think i'm missing an extra 1 monero from my mining revenue today like i should have gotten 6 moneros today but i only got 5 !!

i heard that guy who made the miner is not honest and is stealing from us and has the fees set higher than 5% more like 25%  Sad

When you start mining on some XMR pool, it takes few hours for your coins to be credited as it takes many more confirmations to credit mined coins opposed to when you send coins from one place to another. It is possible you will get that extra 1 XMR few hours after you stop mining (i dont encourage you to stop).

dwarf pool already shows all that data and i'm still missing the extra 1 monero, man i hope that closed source crap miner ends and we get something open source like with other coins ...

One more thing, Claymore fee is not deducted from your address (to my understanding), but u hash for some of his addresses, so you wouldn't see it on pool's stats. Just be patient.

I could be wrong ofcourse.

I would strongly suggest yvg1900's (https://twitter.com/yvg1900) YAM miner.  1% fee (you can set the fee yourself, but not below 1%), and better performance then Claymore's (plus... has a linux version).

YAM Miner version M7v (link to post on twitter feed)

177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 31, 2014, 04:31:23 PM
Posting this here, because Fiaz deleted it from the Alpha-T forums (ooh... shocker...)..  His response was horribly weak too.

Alpha never guaranteed delivery by Mid July.
Yes they did - it was stated several times that shipping would happen between July 15th and July 31st.  And even if you don't believe that, the original terms and conditions clearly said that shipping would occur 8-10 weeks after their request for final payment (so, if they ship in September, they are in violation of that commitment).
Alpha never guaranteed credit card acceptance
Yes they did...  Several times on this forum agents of Alpha-T indicated that credit card payment would be possible, and that no loss would come to those waiting to pay by credit card.  Also, the original T&C speaks of both the 30% advance payment and 70% balance payment, and then later says that paypal is a payment option.  No legitimate claim can be made that those promised payment methods only apply to the 30% payment.
Alpha never guaranteed ROI, They want customers to have ROI, but that may, or may not happen.
Actually, this was one of Alpha's lofty promises - that they would ensure customer ROI.  Along with the promise that they would bring the first SCRYPT ASIC to market (didn't happen, obviously).
Alpha Clearly stated it was a pre-order and if balances were not paid by X date you would loose.
No, they really didn't.  The terms said, "may be forfeited", not "will be forfeited".  The terms and conditions also makes no indication what happens if you request a refund after 5 months - and it's very clear that ambiguous things like this are always ruled in favor of the individual that did not create the terms.  If you can show me anywhere it says, "no refunds after 5 months", I will eat my hat.  Not to mention that if you pay for the full device, you are covered under the UK Distance Selling Regulations so long as you are not operating as a business (I am a consumer with no business name or registration, and acted as a consumer in my dealings with Alpha-T).
Alpha Clearly stated if you cancel your order after a certain date, you would loose
Again, show me where it was ever said in the T&C that there will be no refunds after 5 months, please?

There's plenty of other interesting things in the T&C too... e.g. that the office phone line will be open during local UK working hours; "Live updates shall be provided on the exact shipping date" - which clearly shows that the official posts by Fiaz on these forums were legally binding; "We will try to disclose as much information as possible" - obviously hasn't happened.

Alpha-T doesn't appear to have a single legal leg to stand on if they are going to try to refuse refunds...
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 31, 2014, 08:09:07 AM
- they hold this this news to end of July - so that many deposits would lapse over the 6 months period  (0% refund after 6 months) otherwise they knew the tapeout failure for a long time
Where does it say 0% refund?  I've never seen that...  It was my understanding that after 6 months, you could get a 100% refund minus £70 if they didn't ship.

Quote
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Within 0-1 month after receipt of payment: Full deposit will be refunded.
Within 1-3 months after receipt of payment: 75% of the deposit will be refunded.
Within 3-5 months after receipt of payment: 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
Please note a cancellation fee of £70 towards handling charges will be applicable along with any cancellation.

Nothing in the T&C says no refunds at 6+ months... Nothing.

Hi sorry I'm not lawyering up with anybody. My case is already under way and I'd like to stay in control. Good luck with more science fiction from AT, feels like watching star trek 1979 today.
Going to small claims route?

Any idea what is generating the sudden interest in X13 hash rate at the moment? Bids went up quickly at some reseller sites.
Speculative miners on a new yet-to-be-traded coin, probably.
