1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most promising projects in 2018 on: September 07, 2018, 01:19:05 PM
The top coins are always lower risk and the reason is they have shown promising technology/use case. Hence my core holdings are ETH, NEO, XLM, XRP and ADA.

Low MC coins have the higher risk but rewards can be ENORMOUS. My low MC coins are XSPEC and PRL.

XSPEC - After the PM Mandica let go of the bad apples in the team, XSPEC has shown to be strong team and even stronger community. They have hired core devs and are still hiring more devs and continue to push out github commits and constantly update the roadmap. Additionally the coin addresses one of the major concerns in crypto/DLT i.e. Privacy and being a POS coin makes it even more attractive.

PRL - PRL is another beaten down gem. The team is strong and constantly works on development. The prices dumped after the mainnet release but in the long term (2yr+), I think this coin will do great.

it's amusing to me that you people act like this matters in the long run 'at all'..... way to go short term vision... lol cause every other coin on earth hasn't had an issue from time to time lololololol

I have both long term and short term vision. Both say its a shitcoin with a shitty developer and shitty cult following and shitty echo-chambers. Good luck stroking Verge!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Network Attack on XVG / VERGE on: May 29, 2018, 05:57:14 PM
I never said that Denarius came up with stealth addresses, I am just showing that your code is a copy/paste from their Github. We all know Wraith is promoted as something it is not. Care to explain the other commits?

verge is a fork of peercoin, obviously. (was, after the new rebase to bitcoin we've been working on)

and the stealth.cpp file came from shadowcoin, not denarius. denarius removed the SDC copyright from their header in that file. ours retains the shadowcoin copyright.

How much do you want to bet that your new codebase will be copied from shield who were planning to shift to .16 before you?  I can't wait to see the timestamps on the GitHub commits. I'm sure yours will be after theirs and you'll just lie saying they copied you.

So you are saying that one can copy a private codebase? Wow seems like something new. I thought one cant copy private codebase bcoz thats what they have announced. Just like Verge, Verge is gonna make impossible to copy the code from now on so no one can copy code and then blame that verge has copied their fixes or commits.

Are you telling me that Verge will turn into a closed source project?

Nope. I am telling that we are gonna make impossible to copy our codebase. I was telling you abt shield. They have announced something like that.

I'm speechless.

Sorry for the confusion. Let me be clear. Verge is exploring options to make it impossible to copy the code without being closed source.

Lol exploring options. Hahahaha...Dude I dunno who is shittier - you or the verge developers...Anyways nice entertainment and you know that everyone is laughing at you because technically you are a joke!!

Rubberduck - Dude dont feed the trolls. Once a shitcoin always a shitcoin!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Network Attack on XVG / VERGE on: May 29, 2018, 04:26:02 PM
Lol dont listen to professional comments. Rather listen to a newbie called forestpump just to realize XVG (previously called Dogecoindark) is not a shitcoin!!  Huh Huh
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: February 11, 2018, 02:47:11 PM
My perspective is that USA has taken a positive stance for crypto. This will ease the tension in other parts of the world and slowly favor crypto. Remember crypto is has gone way past through its embryo stage and now stands above 400B market cap. For such an enormous market to diminish it would take a lot of effort. The downside is we will not see those pump days for a while now since the latest wounds from massive dips are still fresh. Now we are in recovery mode and should be flatlining for sometime. Panic should set in when MC goes below 350B. If you are one of the investors who invested in ATH then you have 2 options - 1. Slowly sell during upward movements and cut your losses or 2. Wait for 9 months or more to realize profits. You could also buy now to realize short term profits but that depends on your savings and risk ability.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the reason for this bitcoin bleeding? on: February 02, 2018, 09:36:32 PM

FUCK!!! I think the timing is right for fucking banks to spread FUD
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why all cryptocurrency are down today..? on: February 02, 2018, 09:11:04 PM
The main reason is that India banned all Cryto Currencies and their usage on Indian territory. Bitcoin was popular there due corruption and other factors.

India has banned the illegitimate use of Bitcoin and has stated that their stance is that Bitcoin is not legal tender.

Banned is overblown.

Tether and Bitfinex subpoenaed by the US a month ago news got recycled and hit yesterday which was worse than news from low volume India.

Thank you. I can't believe how many of the investors just read the headlines and nothing further.

INDIA DID NOT BAN CRYPTOCURRENCY!!!!

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the reason for this bitcoin bleeding? on: February 02, 2018, 05:56:09 PM
As far as I know, India has banned cryptopcurrency. So the market goes down. In addition there are some other items related to USDT

I am not sure why everyone is saying India has banned crypto. Everyone I know in India is still trading crypto and will do so. India banned cryptocurrency use for illegal activities like sex trafficking, guns, terrorism etc. The amount of FUD going on by fake news is insane.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: .."How long bitcoin price bounces back above.." on: February 02, 2018, 04:09:24 PM
Remember there is a SEC and CFTC discussion on crypto on Feb 6th. Depends on how media spins it, it can be another blood bath
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the reason for this bitcoin bleeding? on: February 02, 2018, 04:08:24 PM
Many reason.

Indian FUD
Korean FUD
Tether Drama.
Bad news like a snowball.

We can not grow forever.

We can grow and will grow. You do realize that less than 1% of world is invested in crypto. That is nothing compared to stocks where like 30% of population is invested in.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the reason for this bitcoin bleeding? on: February 02, 2018, 03:53:21 PM
There are some bad news from India. and tether and bifitnex exchanges are being investigated and appearing in court. That's some reason I know for this bleeding

There was no bad news from India. They just said that they will ban crypto trading for illegal activities. Plus they do not recognize it is as legal tender. That means that they will not regulate it i.e. no taxes, no FDIC etc etc. That being said it is clear that there is some manipulation going on and all bad news coming in the last few weeks has shown us a few things

1. Never invest in anything that booms. Wait for markets to stabilize
2. Newer investors who came in for a quick moon lambo are the reason why this bubble got created and when they encountered a loss the bubble popped
3. Whales have more power in manipulating prices. I will not be surprised if they can manipulate media too.
4. Seasoned investors should know the timing on when to buy and sell. A good time to sell is Dec and good time to buy is Feb
5. For those who invested 3 months or before are still seeing a profit. This means we are still holding strong. We just have to be more prepared. Newcomers need to wait for 6+ months to see gains or even break even. The market is still bullish. A lot of coins are still coming out with good news and partnerships

Its a matter of time till we see some bullish trend. Till then HODL strong
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Pearl - dead? on: February 02, 2018, 03:39:16 PM
Just wait for it. Let the market stabilize and all the good news will then factor in to pump it up. Just look at XRP and XLM as examples. They pumped a little when good news came out but it took a while for market to react and then the prices pumped in the next 3-4 weeks.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the reason for this bitcoin bleeding? on: February 02, 2018, 03:07:38 PM
I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?

FUDers. Wink

Whales are accumulating, just watch the trade amount.  As soon as they got their fill, watch it skyrocket to a new ATH.

Remember the JPMorgan FUD late last year?  They bought hundreds of millions worth of BTC at a discount shortly after that.  Same is happening now, businesses are poised to use crypto and they are investing but at low price.  With enough money, you can manipulate the market and make money off weak handed investors.  Sad fact or life.

HODL!!!

I think ATH will come in much later. Right now the market is shedding off new scared investors and weaker hands from Asia.

The main reason for this dip is overblown market and rapid hammering by governments and media. I think a lot of new investors came in wishing to make quick money. On the other hand media and governments colluded to time all the FUD news in the last few weeks. While none of believe that this will be the end, I think we were ought to see a huge correction. If you are a new investor, the right time is either buy now or wait till Feb 6th to see what SEC and CFTC hearing says. Be ready for another dip if media exaggerates !!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its over guys on: February 01, 2018, 05:02:37 PM
If you listened to Coin Mastery podcast yesterday, it seems like when it rains it pours - All negative news and FUD coming in the last few weeks - Korea raid/bans, Bitconnect scam, India ban, Tether and Bitfinex subpeona, SEC filing fraud suit against ICO. I kind of agree that it doesn't look like a coincidence.

With that said, I think when the market is bullish - PnD groups and other shillers just give the wrong notion of moon lambos, insane price speculation etc.

Overall, I think cryptospace is being abused by both PnD , Scam artists and colluded attacks by governments.

We as investors should be calm and guide the younger investors of the risk and reward in this market. Also techies should give a fair review of different blockchains and its value in future.

Overall, I think crypto markets are still too young and hence volatile. For those who invested in January, if you sell now you will sell for a greater loss. So give it a few months and reassess the situation in April. There is a reason who whales are still holding and weaker hands sell.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new to crypto where to start? on: January 31, 2018, 03:32:15 PM
First of all, Welcome to crypto space. If you are new and want to learn more about the tech and investing advise I suggest the following sites/podcasts

1. Coindesk - It has a vast collection of tutorials and fundamentals on blockchain. It also publishes news articles regarding the market, new tech and ICOs.

2. CoinMastery - This is Youtube channel and normally gives decent advise on investing. The guy is normally bullish on the long term and dishes some good technical analysis on charts.

3. Podcasts - I prefer listening to 11FS - Blockchain insider. I have found them to be pretty unbiased and generally interview VCs, exchanges and founders.

This is a highly volatile market, and one should have the stomach to go through the huge ups and downs. So invest only the amount that you are fine with losing. Most veterans like arsonbunny on reddit have soom good tips and strategy on reddit.

Good luck!!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my portfolio on: January 31, 2018, 02:21:39 PM
Wow XLM 47? So you dont keep any BTC?
I would get rid of XRP and XCG, add a little SYS and ETC maybe?
VEN and ICX are great choices, very solid projects.

Seems like a lot of investors are wary of XRP. But a lot of them also were like that few months ago when it was trading below 20 cents. I think XRP is attractive investment for newcomers into cryptomarkets. Most newbies I know like to invest in the top 5 coins. Correct me if I am wrong, but thats the reason I like to hold XRP and no ethical/technical reason.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rate my portfolio on: January 30, 2018, 06:09:27 PM
Thanks everyone. I plan to convert XVG back to BTC soon. The % portfolio that i have put in here is based on the current market value. Should I be putting the % in terms of initial USD investment?

Buy ETH. ETH is gonna sky rocket this year. DO NOT listen to the vast shitcoin shillers here. Invest in real coins such as ETH, NEO, OMG, WAVES, ICX, LTC, REQ, ZRX which have real potential, good team and real value
