161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-ICO] Quantum1Net - ⚡ A QUANTUM SAFE DATA TRANSMISSION PLATFORM ⚡ on: January 04, 2018, 11:26:11 AM
I saw there is a lot Of bonus en every periodo Of the project and I think it is good incentive to invest but, when will we recieve these bonus? Will it be immediately?

Thank you for your compliment! Yes, you will receive the tokens + bonus to the designated wallet upon your investment.
After i recieve my bonus can I use my bonus to invest in this project as a regular investment or do you think it is better to me I keep it in my wallet?

The Silver Token is like a convertible note (see: https://www.seedinvest.com/blog/startup-investing/how-convertible-notes-work), you can choose to trade it or to keep your convertible Silver Token until the closed Gold Token release. Smiley

Edit:

You can also trade the Silver Token prior to the closed Gold Token release, and buy the convertible Silver Token just before the Gold Token release to take part in the discount.

I downloaded the white paper and yellow paper. Is yellow paper something like a research document?
And, is the white paper to understand easily the project?

Hello Cryptomoneyresearcher!

You are on the right track there. The white paper is a presentation of the project and the yellow paper is a presentation of the tech behind the project!
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-ICO] Quantum1Net - ⚡ A QUANTUM SAFE DATA TRANSMISSION PLATFORM ⚡ on: January 03, 2018, 06:24:20 PM
Here says that the initial coin offered started yerterday, Does it mean that we can start to invest already? And if in case of an affirmative answer, can I invest in BTC or must I do it in ETH only?
Hello Huxleyfree! The ICO starts the 2nd February, about one month from now. The initial Silver Token will trade for ETH only. The closed Gold Token offering will accept more currencies, Silver Tokens and BTC included. Silver token investors/holders will be prioritized during this second ICO.

Really good project! I've just checked your site and I'm surprised.
But I don't understand why do you have two different tokens, what is their purpose?

Thank you Jupiter13! I will explain how it works below;

The Silver Token will be traded against the ETH using the ethereum blockchain.  The Silver Token is like a convertible note ( https://www.seedinvest.com/blog/startup-investing/how-convertible-notes-work ), meaning the ones who holds the Silver Token at the release of the closed Gold Token sale will get a priority and a discount. You do not need to hold the Silver Token all the way to the closed Gold Token release, you could sell all the Silver Tokens after the ICO and buy again before the release of the Gold Token to get the discount and priority. The convertible Silver Token is to take the prototype to product, so that is why it is like a normal convertible note.

Given that our project revolves around the vulnerability of conventional cryptography faced with quantum computing, the Gold Token is based on Bitcoin and features quantum encryption, making it both a testament to the feasibility of our technology and proof against quantum powered attacks. Further on, Bitcoin has the most solid code in the crypto space and best dev support.

Hello, I am thetyper as you can see ! I will gladly like to work with you doing Spanish Translations.
Your project seems promising and a good will can be seen standing behind this hard work.
Would love to hear form you again, and will pass by to follow Quantum1Net. Cheers.

Thank you for showing interest in the project, thetyper. We will get in touch as soon as the bounty campaign launches! Cheers!

Quantum computing is really the future. However it's a really complex matter, you guys better have people who get how it works before starting working with it.

Indeed, quantum computing is extremely interesting and will definitely play a big role in the near future. What sets us apart from most ICOs is the experience of our team leadership and the level of development already achieved. We have developed a prototype capable of generating a quantum encryption key, utilizing a one qbit optical device capable of generating perfect randomized sequences.

Our leadership has between them a huge list of successful business ventures, we are confident that the skill of our scientists will not be hampered by mismanagement or bad management.

What makes your project different? I have read that you are a cryptography platform. What do you do to protect users?

That is a good question Siamda.

With the introduction of quantum computers, the deterrent presented by RSA and other protocols will cease to be enough to stop hackers, as hacking them will become a worthwhile endeavor.

Generally speaking, encryption techniques today rely on hacking them not being worth the time and resources required. Finding the underlying pattern in a pseudo-random number generator to be able to predict the outcome can be costly, requiring a large number of samplings. Quantum computers will be able to perform the required operations much more efficiently and much faster, in hours or days.

Quantum1Net instead relies on a Quantum Encryption Key Generator (QEKG). Because of the properties of quantum computers itself, tests have shown that even in large samples, the
numbers selected follow no pattern thus no predictive algorithm can be derived.

Thank you for your question and your interest Gargavaar.

We strongly believe that the issue of quantum cryptoanalysis is a serious one indeed, the consequences of a state or large private actor developing a quantum computer able to crack the RSA crypto could be quite severe, both for the privacy and security that we take for granted and the cryptocurrency market.
The team has already made significant headway into quantum randomization which will form the cornerstone in our quantum key generation. I think you would find page. 9, 10 and 11 in the yellow paper interesting; https://quantum1net.com/Q1N%20yellow%20paper.pdf

While there is still much to be done, the science behind our product is sound and tested.

From the looks of the papers, there is some merit and progress behind the idea.
I'll have to look into the pedigree of the guys behind it before I'd invest any money but I'll follw with keen interest and see how things develop up until the ICO starts Smiley

Great! You can also follow us on any of the advertised social media channels. Get back to us if you have further questions! Smiley

This project looks really interesting!
Privacy(and the lack thereof in traditional online transactions) was a major reason why I got involved with cryptocurrency to begin with and the threat of quantum cryptoanalysis has been a personal bogey man of mine.
It's good to see that people are on the ball well before we're smacked with the bat of a major crypto breach Cheesy
Do you guys have any actual data or research to show yet or is that something that will develop if you get funding? Quantum mechanics are pretty heavy stuff after all.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin that can replace bitcoin as major payment on: December 31, 2017, 04:55:55 PM
The debate between storage value and currency needs to be sorted before any proper projections on how the future of crypto for payments will look like i think
174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Don't use binance on: December 30, 2017, 05:39:20 PM
10,000 tickets is somewhat a huge exaggeration no?

Also, it's your fault that you have lost your 2FA key, and Binance will not just easily give you access to your account if you don't provide enough proof/information that the account is indeed yours.

Here's what Binance replied to me when I temporarily lost access to my Google 2FA app:

Quote
You need to reply us back with the following information:

1:ID/Passport picture two sides
2:You holding your ID/Passport homepage + paper announcement, handwritten note that you need to reset 2FA with your current time(day month year).
3:After verify, we will reset it for you. While after that you are unable to withdraw within 48 hours for the security of your assets.

Thanks for your great support.

Yup this is a normal procedure for other online trading exchanges outside of crypto too. OP probably needs to explain his case better or give the binance customer service some time to handle his case.

Yeah the project sounds cool. I also want to know how it went Smiley
176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can i deposit different bitcoins into a normal bitcoin wallet? on: December 28, 2017, 11:23:32 PM
No. If you do such, coins that aren't compatible with your wallet would be lost forever. Certain wallets do have certain coin compatibility so you need to be careful in choosing your wallet so as not to lose your funds forever. Exodus and Jaxx would be your best bet in handling multiple forked coins such as BCH, BTG, and BTC as well as other future forks if the dev team of the said wallets would include them.

Yeah I would look in to Exodus or Jaxx too. They are easy to understand and trustworthy as well.
177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is coinbase safe? and this app this app claim free bitcoin? on: December 28, 2017, 05:07:16 PM
I've used many different exchanges and coinbase is for sure one of the safest and best ones for people who are new in the crypto-world.
178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Way to Search the Forum on: December 28, 2017, 04:33:12 PM
Search using Google's advanced search: https://www.google.com/advanced_search

  • Fill in the search words
  • For 'Site or Domain' enter bitcointalk.org
  • Make other selections for date, etc

Yep, I use google advanced search pretty often too. Works fine Smiley
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best coins to mine with CPU? on: December 28, 2017, 12:57:27 AM
cryptocompare.com is pretty fun to play around with when checking probability on mining, you also have coinwarz  Smiley
180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens to your fiat balance if a bitcoin exchange gets hacked? on: December 28, 2017, 12:50:35 AM
it depends on the exchange. for example, coinbase insures its digital currency and fiat is FDIC insured for US residents

https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1662379-how-is-coinbase-insured-

This is precisely why it is good to stick to the biggest exchanges. They are mostly the safest choice. Gemini, Bitstamp, and Coinbase/GDAX are good choices imo. For alts, binance has risen in popularity recently.
