1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling company's responsibility on: January 01, 2022, 01:08:15 PM
^ This is sad because if you are a complainant and if you are far from a casino licensing company, your complaint will not take action because it's online. I think that is wrong, if you have valid proof and evidence it should be always granted even though if it is online. Gambling regulators are the weakness of the gambling companies to avoid shady actions that could be abused their users but yes, this is not a guarantee that a gambling company will not scam you, they had different loopholes to trick their players.

This is one of the reasons why I think that improvements should be made when it comes to the regulations and standards of granting license to casinos, but more so on the monitoring of the compliance. As we are now becoming more inclined to online transactions and digital connections, I think that there must be some kind of mandation that covers the eligibility of complaints submitted digitally to push through, after completing the set processes.
1722  Economy / Gambling / Re: MISTAKE TIP 3.8 BTC on: January 01, 2022, 01:00:39 PM
<snip>
I still won't fall to op's trap if what you said is true. If op really receive that amount of btc and wanted it to return to owner who sent that tip but forgot the username. My suggestion is to donate the money to someone else or donate it to a charity instead of spending it as it is your own money. To tell you honestly, that amount of btc can help a lot of people who really needs help not just me. This may be a trap or just a clickbait and nothing else.

I second that @nakamura12. If this story was indeed true and OP is genuine with his intentions, I am wondering why it took him quite the time to decide to finally send back the mistaken tip. Also, he should be aware that no one actually believes anything impulsively without seeing some receipts or evidences of such subject or event. On top of it all, there is an existing accusation of him about being a notorious scammer through begging for tips kind of techniques. We all should be careful about such things.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: January 01, 2022, 12:50:28 PM
The sad truth behind the taxes they get is they are putting it in their personal pockets, only few percentage of that is getting spend on their projects for their country.

Among the many considerations of the efficacy and feasibility of legalizing gambling in a country, including such religion, culture, existing justice system, taxation and even gambling addiction, I also think that the consistency of its implementation is a significant challenge. If gambling will be legalized then it must be also guaranteed that the system is not subject to be manipulated and abused by those positioned to have power.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your altcoin predictions for the new year 2022 on: January 01, 2022, 12:39:20 PM
And to think that every year a lot of projects have been introduced, then we should always be ready to distinguish between scam and legit profits as there are more scam projects nowadays.

Well said. As much as we must be prepared in grabbing every opportunity we could take in this year, we all should be extra cautious and vigilant with scam projects. I bet scammers, who are seeking to evolve their ways every now and then, will also go along the trends this year and use that as an opportunity to bring out their plans and schemes.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATE: Am I Doing My Students a Disservice? on: December 31, 2021, 07:09:50 AM
You reminds me of that super hero teacher like in movies who explains lesson in practical and fun manner that whole class and audience like and appreciate.Keep this the same way and you will see the progress in students.

Indeed. OP is doing a great favor for the students by teaching them about these things, the things that are actually being done and attended in real life at this moment, that could significantly impact their future careers. I think that OP should do more of this topic in your lesson plan, and even further the scopes of which can give better understanding for the students.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Investing Coin on: December 31, 2021, 06:51:22 AM
You should never ever bag hold altcoins because majority of them have no long term potential and will continue to dump over time. Specially during times like this where bitcoin price has small drops that causes chaos in altcoin market where everyone dumps their altcoins to rush back to bitcoin market.
Altcoins are best be used in short term trading when they are getting pumped and must be sold before the dumping begins.

I couldn’t agree more with you. That being said, how long are planning to hold these coins, OP?

I see that you have a newbie account, although I couldn’t attest if you are new in this market or just in the forum? Either way, I hope that you have understood and did your assignment well upon deciding to hold the aforementioned coins.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your altcoin predictions for the new year 2022 on: December 31, 2021, 06:46:41 AM
I guess that we are going to have NFTs to be outdated in 2022 as we might be having some other shit to be getting popular out of some social media infulencers. Yeah, these trends will keep on changing and if you switch over your investment plans more frequently then you may end up biting the dust. Anyway, we can expect lots of surprises in 2022 at the same time nothing will sustain until 2023 Wink.

Anything and a lot may be happening in this coming year of 2022. But one thing is for sure, there will be more new trends coming, like @lixer mentioned. Although I am not certain that NFT will be outdated by that time, but I am confident that many concepts and trends will be popularized, thus will be monetized for all of us. I manifest that 2022 will be a year that is fruitful, fun and full of surprises.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Cup 2022 Season Prediction Thread on: December 30, 2021, 07:12:06 PM
Besiktas is my favorite to win. Still the best team in Turkey at the moment? They are also the only ones to have made it to Champions League football this season. Eliminated in that group, but that can happen in that group. With the cup you have to be good every game, a lesser game and you are out.
1729  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: December 30, 2021, 06:29:42 PM
I placed my bets only on tennis on the match winner, and still got my account closed for no reason and 54 mbtc stolen from me.

I wrote few days earlier about tennis. There are hundreds if not thousands of people for whom betting on tennis matches is a profession and even has a name: Courtsiding

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Courtsiding

I'm not saying your situation is about that, however, with so many attempts to cheat 1xbit in betting on tennis, it looks a bit suspicious. Anyway I hope everything ends well in your case.

Courtsiding is something that unfortunately happens often. Players think they can easily earn money. And expect the bookmaker to pay them out. And if they don't get paid, they get mad and complain on the forum. With courtsiding you look for the problems, and the problems also look for you. Sooner or later things always go wrong when you try to cheat. Why should a bookmaker pay customers that are using courtsiding?
I know that many cheaters as players are active on the forum.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This December is a weird one on: December 30, 2021, 03:57:50 PM
bulls at the end of the year look like it's going to be weird. I always worry about the moment when the big days are sure people will need more money. like Christmas and New Year. or religious holidays. This does not mean that there will be a decline, but the market tends to move more quickly and is unpredictable as usual.
So far nothing strange I guess. all-natural when people withdraw some of their money for greater needs of course it creates a shock in the market.

I guess it is safe to say that maybe many have been holding their coins at this moment, and as much there are people who are selling, there also the ones who are buying back or buying more, right? Maybe this December has been different because of the year that we all have been through is different as well, and so the mindset and goals of the people have changed too. And with that, the market will depend on such behavior of the users.
1731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I know legit and scam investment? on: December 30, 2021, 03:51:49 PM
Not just 50%, I am afraid about 90% of crypto people's security against scammers. Because, these days, scammers are too smart to make themselves up to look like legit.

You cannot distinguish between legit and scams easily hence you got only few methods to safeguard you against scams:
1. Stay only with bitcoin investments. Ignore all other investment opportunity.
2. Create your own investment opportunities and run a legit business.
3. Follow the basics of investment principles:
  a. Diversify your investments: as you say you may invest 50% into legit even other half get scammed.
  b. Invest only your excess amount and not the committed money.

Agreed. It is as if scammers are getting better day by day in finding ways to execute their schemes. I second these methods in safeguarding oneself against scams. While it is true that it is through research that one ca distinguish scams form legit projects, it is something that must be done thoroughly and in different aspects like the team, concept, products, marketing, reward system, or even those people who had experience with such before you, plus a lot more matter that concerns any legitimacy subject.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk guesses who bitcoin's mysterious creator Satoshi Nakamoto is on: December 30, 2021, 03:42:55 PM
Elon can guess so as we so please consider it as very simple guess. Don't over exaggerate its importance because the joke is from Elon.

More important, who is real satoshi nakamoto now not important, isn't it?

It would be nice to know who Satoshi Nakamoto is, right? But I agree that not knowing the personality of Satoshi is detrimental on everyone’s part. Yes, it is a mystery that everyone has been looking forward to unlock but not being able to do so doesn’t result and mean anything bad. We could all guess who Satoshi is, including Elon Musk, by that will be all guesses at the end of the day.
1733  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 29, 2021, 02:53:35 PM
Personally, I am holding coins for a period of time that I have set beforehand, or based on my intentions and necessities. For instance, I hold some altcoins for short-term only, and bitcoin for long-term, these could take months or even years depending on the coin’s potential, my capital and my goal for making that investment. As per those people mentioned by OP, those do not get the holding technique, I think that is yet to come to there awareness then. Maybe, after some time, they will also get its core concept and begin to really grasp how such technique is beneficial to accumulate profit.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet Hacking through Telegram on: December 29, 2021, 02:39:38 PM
I think the best bet is to avoid downloading anything from Telegram, I also saw the warning post in one Telegram channel and I have disabled all auto download but I will still apply additional caution and avoid manually downloading anything from Telegram, aside from too many scammers already crawling in that platform now hackers want to create more havoc! unbelievable.  Angry

Indeed. Having a layer of software for security protection is a good thing, but being cautious is another best thing to do to prevent such. Scammers will try and improvise their schemes so that they could push through their intentions, they are getting smarter day by day in making ways to proceed such deeds, so we must be one step ahead of them in protecting ourselves and assets.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out on: December 29, 2021, 02:34:06 PM
Try to learn first the basic of trading and from there you can try out to risk your $600 slowly on some alts or bitcoin and try to win the market by incorporating technique from trading analytics.it's not guaranteed but if you use some parameter and indicator you could grow that.

Do not invest what you can afford to lose and there's no such thing as a sure investment in Cryptocurrency, it's better to invest half of it in the top coins in the market,

I couldn’t agree more with you. Immersing thyself with the crypto market first is the best advice you could give someone interested towards making crypto investment. Form there, they could determine themselves how much they are willing to risk in pursuing such, and could project the percentage they would want to allot in the market. Along with these, they could also learn the importance of research, and eventually determine the suitable project, coin, or investment that could potentially give them profit.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: December 29, 2021, 02:04:31 PM
-snip-

I would like to agree on that. During this pandemic, where almost all of the industries and activities had to shift from physical to online form, online gambling is undoubtedly one of those industries that have been successfully transitioned to the online space. And with that, it is not surprising that its patronage continuously increases, especially with the rise of those who are being interested to gamble, and those indulging with crypto as well.
1737  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bethub.gg | The world of High Stakes! 👑 on: December 29, 2021, 01:40:07 PM
Welcome to the forum, Bethub.gg!

I came across this thread since I was curious because it is the first time I have seen your name in here. I’m glad I did, because I am about to discover and explore a new casino. I want to commend the team for launching a good site. I also see that you have many games and a great reward system as well. Looking forward to play in your website now.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: December 26, 2021, 03:21:08 PM
Long term investment is reasonable if the act of holding would really gain you profits. That is why it is very important to do analysis first before deciding what coin, and for how long it should be held, based on its nature and potential of success. From there, it could be also determined if such coin is meant for short term or long term investment.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recovered my wallet from 2014 and saw how close I was to being a millionaire on: December 26, 2021, 03:14:04 PM
These days everyone is regretting missing chances of millionaire because of there post 2015 actions on bitcoin. None of us knows what's going to happen in coming years, we have to live in present. Don't regret wt you have done in past, unless you have sold bitcoin in profit and enjoyed the money just relax. Life is too short to regret.

Well said. We can only move forward now, carrying all the lesson we learned from the past, and apply those lessons on our way forward. I am sure that we all made decisions back then because we want to and we needed to, so may we all seize our days and the opportunities that will soon come our ways.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥶 Winter Beijin 2022 🥶 Discussion and bet thread 🥶 Winter Game 🥶 on: December 26, 2021, 03:07:07 PM
Another huge games during pandemic. Will every country send their athletes there? Some countries decides to boycott the games. Is team US comming? As it is in Chine, I bet China will get most of the medals these year. I am going to watch ice hockey, biathlon and bobsleigh. Any curling fun here?

I am also wondering if this would really push through because of the pandemic, not to mention the new variant that has been recorded to have an increasing case in many countries as of today. Let’s just wait for the coming days, closer to the said date, to see if this will be actually happening.
