nope. buying drugs is useless, unless it is for health (of course in doctor's instruction)

Self medicate my friend - Doctors are full of bullshit and are paid by big pharma to prescribe certain medications.

Global drug companies (legit / legal) sponsor the medical industry.

According to your analysis - Glaxo / Pzifer / AstraZeneca / Grunenthal / Roche all make 'good' drugs I guess?

Do you remember Thalidomide? Valdecoxib? Mibefradil? These were all 'for health (or course in doctors instruction) - whatever the fuck that means' and recalled after hundreds / thousands of deaths and deformities.

Do you know anyone whose child was born deformed from smoking weed?

Someone close this thread already so the sheep who live in draconian societies can take a break from making ill educated comments.
2602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2016, 07:44:42 AM
Buying drugs, hookers or anything you want really unless making other lives miserable is perfectly fine.
People on this thread, and i can't believe how many!!, saying you should not even mention such a possibility due to making a bad image for bitcoin make me want to vomit. Shame on you unenlightened and selfish sheep!

First sensible comment in about 5 pages!

I hadn't realise this forum was so full of narrow minded people either. People using catch all statements like 'the damage you do to your organs using drugs'.

Ever heard of liver disease from alcohol? Heart attack from saturated fats? Tooth decay from sugar?

Smoke a joint of weed you bought with Bitcoin though and it's a life of petty crime, prostitution and multiple organ failure according to people here. so many purely uneducated answers it shocks me. Do you people believe everything the right wing media shoves down your throat daily?

I thought Bitcoin embodied the spirit of free thinking libertarians - not so sure after reading a few pages of this thread though.
2603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: July 23, 2016, 12:44:13 PM
I'm just kind of curious what makes people buy drugs or even use them.

Have you ever drunk an ice-cold beer on a hot summers day?

Can you recall that warm and satisfying feeling you felt?

Did you feel a little more relaxed in yourself?

Is this a serious question? Why do people use drugs?

People use drugs because they make you feel good - full stop. People with insecurities, people with medical conditions, people who've suffered childhood abuse, people who just like to get out of their faces at the weekend. There are many reasons people use drugs but the most common one is that they target pleasure receptors in the brain and release all sorts of chemicals such as serotonin, dopamine, adrenaline etc etc etc.

They make you feel good.

Ask your ancestors why they lit fires, told stories, sang, danced, played drums, ate fermented fruits, scored poppies, burnt hemp, chewed tobacco, consumed mushrooms.

If you take it back all the way to the dawn of modern human civilization - across most cultures there is a strong trajectory of ritualized drug use around important dates / seasons / cultural events.

Drugs were for nobles, shamans, shape-shifters, forest people, warriors, fighters, priests, kings.

Food and water are drugs - try not eating for a few days and honestly tell me your body doesn't crave.

We must never use such great thing as Bitcoin to buy awful things like drugs.
This is wrong. Besides, if such story comes up in mass media, the reputation of Bitcoin will be ruined in no time.

actually we must never buy drugs and other awful things, using anything. buying drugs is wrong in the first place.
Well, I really think there is no one in this community, buying drugs with bitcoins. And hence its useless to give community advice, anyways but yeah drugs is a addiction ( much bigger than gambling ) and once you fall into it , then well ... you know ..
On a personal note I don't think bitcoins are much used for drugs though.
bitcoin is an advance technology and crypto currency. it is for well/high educated persons. and a well educated person will never use drug. so there is no point to pay bitcoin for drugs.
peoples who drug don't even know what is bitcoin. an addicted to drug person don't even care about him self, he just want drugs to get release from pain and addiction then how he could go first and exchange his fiat to bitcoin and find someone who sell drugs for bitcoin? this is just none sense.

Yes. may be drinks/beer/whisky can be bought for bitcoin. but not drugs.

Do you realise how incredibly narrow-minded your viewpoint is?

Millions of well educated people worldwide choose to use drugs.

I have a first class degree from a top 10 University and an MBA from the UK's leading business school. I guess by your analogy I must be too clever to use drugs?

Are you seriously suggesting that your only experience of drug users are the typical homeless person on the street? Do you honestly think that a drug user can't manage to navigate their way to an exchange in order to buy Bitcoin? How do dark market sites operate if there are no drug users using Bitcoin to buy drugs. Maybe all the hopeless decrepit addicts of the world club together and pay an educated computer whiz kid to make purchases on their behalf?

I didn't realise there were so many blinkered people on this forum. It's like talking to Mr Mackey from South Park.

Beer and whisky are drugs too mate. But they're somehow ok I guess because the government has said they're socially acceptable and can collect tax on them.

You better don't start such threads on this website. I suppose the Bitcointalk community is mostly against grugs, because when they are assosiated with btc the btc becomes somothing criminal
Persecution of those who choose to use drugs is criminal

Destroying our planet through global warming is criminal

Suppression of free thought and speech is criminal

The illusion of democracy is criminal

Financial instutions tend towards the criminal

Buying drugs with BTC is definately not criminal  Tongue

I wouldn't agree. If using drug is illegal then buying drugs is also illegal and it doesn't really matter if you buy it with Bitcoin or fiat money. And beacuse Bitcoin is only payment method on darkweb for illegal goods and services it gained bad reputation.

Define illegal for me?

If illegal means a sovereign nation goverment has decided that something is unaccepatble yet I find it perfectly acceptable then we have an issue - no?

Legality does not determine right or wrong.

Drugs are integral to humanity - whether or not they are illegal. Legality or illegality has never changed the status quo with regard to numbers of active users.

Its still legal in Chester in the northwest of UK to shoot a Welshman with a bow and arrow, as long as he is inside the city walls after midnight.

It is forbidden for anyone to be in charge of a cow whilst intoxicated - fine of upto £1200.
Licensing act of 1872

It is an offence to beat or shake any carpet rug or mat in any street in the Metropolitan Police District, although you are allowed to shake a doormat before 8am.     Metropolitan Police Act 1839, section 60 and for other districts; Town Police Clauses Act 1847, section 28.

Laws are stupid and you don't have to go along with them. Common sense usually prevails.
2608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: July 14, 2016, 12:07:10 PM
Drug use is a positive thing. Drug abuse can be problematic but users need support and treatment if the decisions they are making are impacting on their lives or the lives of others. This is a social issue howver and nothing to do with the law or criminality.

Ritualised behaviour around substance use is one of the few constants since the dawn of human history.

Gathering around a fire, telling stories, singing and dancing whilst under the influence - This is an innate human tradition which should be respected.

Everyone above who claims they don't use drugs is flat out lying.

Sugar is one of the most potent drugs available worldwide, coffee a close second. When you or your loved one is in late stage terminal illness please tell me truthfully that you will turn down the pain relief offered to you. When you develop neurological disease you won't want the pills that have been proven to reduce or alleviate your symptoms.

There are no good or bad drugs - there are good and bad decisions by users of drugs

To categorise one drug as bad and another as somehow acceptable based on policy is narrow sighted at best and dangerous at worst.

2614  Economy / Goods / Re: Lifetime's supply of free range eggs. – FOR ONLY 10 MILLION SATOSHI. on: July 05, 2016, 10:31:55 PM
OK I'm a little unclear here

I pay you 0.1 now, once only and never make another payment to you?

You ship me 150 eggs in say a weeks time to my home UK address?

You then ship me 150 more eggs within 30 odd days of the first batch?

You then continue to ship me 150 eggs forever, every single month until I die?

I ship a lot of stuff UK to UK online and 25 egg cartons is at least a medium parcel with Royal Mail - standard 1st class medium parcel is £5.50 (0.01BTC currently) / £6.40 with tracking / signature required.

If you ship untracked then after 10 months your 0.1BTC has been spent on shipping. I'm mid thirties so assuming I've got another 40 years left (I hope) then you still need to cover shipping for 482 months at a cost of £5.50 a month.

At the end of our arrangement when I die you'll have spent £2,640 on postage costs assuming they never increase the price. Is your business model based on an assumed BTC price of £26,400 per coin by 2056?

If yes then I'm in - If no then I might be in anyway but 150 eggs a month is a shitload of eggs man - what am I gonna do start lifting weights and making omlettes? I love eggs but I'm pushed to get through 6 a week.
