28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bit of an oddity using rasbPI to control asicminer USBs on: July 28, 2013, 09:03:09 AM
well thanks guys, i guess i'll switch that hub for another.
29  Bitcoin / Hardware / bit of an oddity using rasbPI to control asicminer USBs [SOLVED] on: July 27, 2013, 09:35:49 AM
So I have 4 USB erruptors, up until three days ago, I ran them off an old laptop, windows 8, cgminer, 1.2ghz, no bother. Couple of days ago, I got a Pi, installed raspbian, compiled cgminer with all product extensions. Cgminer runs, it can see all 4 cards and get them hashing.. at an average of 350mh/s total. That's less than 100 mh/s per card and they were working fine as of last week.

I'm using the same usb3 hub (with a 4A PSU) as i did on the previous computer, however, on the pi, i am plugged into a usb2 socket, but that shouldn't affect bandwith quite so bad.

Does anyone know what happned/how to fix it?

ROI is hard to get running at full power, at less than a quarter, i'm just heating the house (in july)

thanks

EDIT this might be the wrong sub, if so I'm sorry and could you point me to the right place?
30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: asicminer and BFL from the same computer? on: July 15, 2013, 03:46:08 AM
I run four block erupter USBs and a BFL Jalapeno from a Raspberry pi,

what soft(s) do you use?
31  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Group Buy ASICMiner Blade (mini or full) on: July 15, 2013, 01:28:18 AM
i'm very interested in your group buy as i rather dread having spend the next two weeks glued to my computer so i can jump on a blade when they get released. however i have to say i would feel more confident if escrow were involved. Is this a possibility? I would be willing to pay escrow fees
32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are block erupter suppose to get too hot to touch? on: July 14, 2013, 11:57:09 PM
i run four of them off a USB3 hub and I have a usb powered fan washing air over them and they seem to be running alright. If you're really worried, use a tower PC fan, you can buy them cheap and power them either of a psu or with a cheap 230AC/12DC converter (the ones on the bigger christmas lights are more than sufficient.
33  Bitcoin / Hardware / asicminer and BFL from the same computer? on: July 14, 2013, 10:49:26 PM
Hello,
so I'm trying to run a jalapeno, a bfl fpga single, a handful of asicminer usb eruptors and a blade (which i'm getting soon iagr) at the moment.
i have one computer running the bfl products with cgminer and another running the asicminer products also with cgminer.
Is it possible to have all that run from just one machine, because I'd love to get my laptop back..
When I plug bfl and asicminer products on the same machine, cgminer bugs out on start. I wanted to run two instances of cgminer separately, pointing each at different cards. but I can't get it to run even one.
I've heard you can use two different mining soft simultaneously but i don't know my way around the mining software world anymore, i stopped following the new projects when i found cgminer a while back now. So I'm hard pressed to think of one to run in parallel, let alone two as cgminer seems to hate having different brands hooked up.
How can I get my laptop back?

Machine 1 (bfl) is a shitty little micro pc running windows 7 pro off an atom chip and Machine 2 (asicminer) is a asus laptop with Win 7 Ulti off an i3. I'm not adverse to putting a Linux on the micro PC if that helps anything, but i'll be asking a lot of silly questions for a while..

I hope no one else has posted this type of problem before, if so, sorry and could you point me in the right direction?

j'en ai acheté 3 a LainZ, qui au final m'en a donné 2 gratuites donc total 5. C'est pas des Blades mais ça consomme moins et ne fait pas de bruit//

36  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why everyone keeps selling their long waited ASICMINER USB? on: June 20, 2013, 03:19:14 PM
I'm not sure why people bought them up in the first place, they cost the same as a half decent graphics card, they hash about as much, but have no real resell value, it's only the fact that they're USB and lower power consumption that they're worth while, for me they're worth nothing as I mine electricity cost free, I liked the idea of being able to just put loads attached to one machine though.

people keep saying there is no resale value.. all I know is they can be bought from source for around 200 USD and sold for a little under twice that on ebay. I might be wrong but that looks like an 80% profit derived from resale benefits.
