LANT is a new currency being introduced by Lantic Trading Ltd. which will initially be used in our three existing companies. This will ensure an immediate value and use for the currency whilst new partnerships and uses are added. 20% of the group’s net profit will be used to buy back and burn coins to support and increase the coin’s value starting in Q3 2018.

Please see the links at the end for more details on our Founder's Nodes, LANT and companies.

Founder’s Nodes
Founder’s Nodes are the foundation of our partnership with investors in the LANT currency and an integral part of shaping our future development with the introduction of voting rights. No further Founder’s Nodes will be created after this sale however they will be transferable. There will be no Master Node sale and all future coins will be mined.

102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Attention: Bitmain is currently performing a large scam on: March 16, 2018, 03:41:10 PM
Odd, usually when a product sells out Bitmain leave it up and just grey out the Add to Cart button. This time they have completely removed it. I wonder if the $12k price tag was a mistake and they have just realised it or if they are too embarrassed as the entire crypto community has called their bluff.

Lets wait and see...

Price has reduced to $3K (https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201803162234588810T73G76V05F6). Someone else posted this in another thread.

If ever an example were needed of how not to sell a new product. There are fundamental problems with any product which drops to a quarter of the initial price within days of introduction.

Hope nobody bought at $12K or Bitmain are offering refunds...

Steve

Personally I wouldn't even dream of buying one to resell with the responses from Monero et al. but equally I wouldn't call it a scam - if you are willing to gamble $12K then I'm sure that they exist and you'll get a machine.

Regards,

Steve
It’s a very large gamble with a very low possible reward. There’s way better ways to make money mining, even with such low rewards as prices on most coins have tumbled. There’s very little reason to buy this miner at all, and if the thing breaks down you’re facing Bitmain’s horrible repair services.

Totally agree - I definitely wouldn't buy one and would advise the same to anyone else. Just the 'scam' description seems unwarranted.

Steve
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: WANT TO BUY POOL on: March 16, 2018, 01:30:39 PM
Maybe put a bit more detail of what you are looking for...

We have pools from before 2017 but you wouldn't want to buy them because they only list a few coins used by customers. I'd guess you are looking for an established pool with lots of coins, miners and a good raltively passive income?

Steve

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good announcement happening on bad time?? on: March 16, 2018, 01:13:32 PM
We need news that appeals to a wider market than the existing crypto-currency community to make any difference to the market.

'Non-crypto' people flooded into BTC based on the mainstream media coverage and hype and promise of almost overnight riches at the end of 2017/early 2018. The only type of announcements which will help crypto now are ones that affect a much wider community.

I've no doubt that will happen but think it will be a slower process than the last pump.

Steve

Look what a guy post: http://xmr.noctism.com/

Less than 2 weeks lol

Should also be a good opportunity to grab some (relatively) low difficulty XMR when the fork happens - we're advising our customers to keep rigs available to switch over to it.

110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: March 16, 2018, 12:52:32 PM
When we start seeing progress along coins' roadmaps and real world uses then we're going to see headlines, hype and new money coming into crypto. It's really up to coin dev's to start delivering on their promises/plans now otherwise we'll see stagnation and a continuing decline in market cap as people move back to fiat.

I'm certain it will happen eventually but when...no idea.

Steve

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 -- 220KH+ Cryponight - 550W on: March 16, 2018, 12:21:05 PM
I wouldn't touch either the X3 or Giant-N with a bargepole... I'm with the cynics that think these are being sold because Baikal/Bitmain realise they are going to be redundant soon. Baikal particularly - 'immediate despatch' can't mean anything other than they are already built and I can't believe they have been stockpiling them without using them.

There'll always be some who will buy the latest miner without looking at the market (looking at eBay particularly here) but I think people are really going to get burnt with these. The A3 was a good buy/mine/resell opportunity because Sia was always very unlikely to fork but these two are looking at an application which is going to virtually disappear.

Steve
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 16, 2018, 12:12:24 PM
If you are looking for a short term profit or a regular income then no, definitely not worth it at the moment.
If you can wait for your profit and HODL established coins or are willing to put some time into finding coins which 'might' have future value then yes, worth it.

Most of our own rigs are speculative mining with the current bear market and profitability. Customer's rigs seem to be split about 50/50 between those who haven't changed from ETH etc. and those who are mining some fairly obscure or new coins. At a guess I'd say about 5% have either reduced their number of rigs or have at least considered and asked about what price they could sell them for.

Steve
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solo mining new coins on: March 16, 2018, 11:58:38 AM
Keeping rigs as simple as possible to make sure all resources are dedicated to mining is the best option. If you run wallets on them then you need to look after updates, security etc. so +1 for setting up your own pool being the simplest/easiest approach.

There are also pools like CKPool that offer a solo mining option for a fee (I think CK is 1%?) if/when you find a block. Alternatively if you just want to try solo then I'd be happy to add a coin to one of our pools with no fee for you to solo for a while.

Will be interesting to see how this works out and I've put a couple of our own rigs onto the coin to support the network.

Let me know if there's something we can do to help in terms of pools, explorer etc. We will be able to help with an exchange listing later this year but that's unlikely to be before Q3 so probably working with Graviex is the better short term option.

This project died a long time ago.
Why did you suddenly have a pool?

Hi, we were asked to put one up and posted it here as the most relevant place in case anyone else wanted to use it instead of wallet mining.

You may certainly be right about it being dead but the project is only two months old so maybe a little early to write it off.

Hi there,

could someone please share abit info of how setting bankitt masternode in vps?
how could i compile the wallet in VPS?

I haven't seen a guide for Bankitt but it will be the same procedure as other masternodes I would imagine.

Try following the guide here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2788625.0 - it's for Rapture so you'll need to change some things (BKT collateral is 10,000 coins not the 1,000 for Rapture for example) but should get you there.

If you are really stuck then we can host the server side for you but honestly it really is straightforward once you've done one especially if you already have a VPS.

Mark

Wink 5000 viper was sent to BZSpJx9XhwLzb2aK3NQMAm2qV2TGqhCZ9u.

Received and thank you!

Any problems with the pool or you aren't happy for any reason then just let us know and we'll send it back - it's crypto but we want happy customers!

John

I happy, but only one issue is that http://pool.lanticmining.co.uk/ frontend is frequently down.

Yes, we've been seeing that as well. It started happening two days ago when we changed over to Cloudflare from Incapsula for our DDoS protection - something obviously needs 'tweaking' there. No dropouts in the stratums's since they went up 10 hours ago (we restarted that server when we added Viper) so mining isn't effected.

We are opening a new exchange towards the end of this month which is taking most of our development resources - well worth the effort but things like lokking at Cloudflare settings are unfortunately taking longer than is ideal.

Mark

Hi, nothing in the logs for the backend being down so likely just the frontend dropped out for a short while - that does happen from time to time but mining isn't effected.

If you notice it happening regularly or you have any issues with a rig connecting to the stratum then do either tweet us @Lantic_Mining or email team@lanticmining.co.uk and we'll look into whether it's a general problem or something personal!

Thanks,

John
