221  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 16, 2014, 06:47:23 AM
I had the same concern, but have been told a few times that the list does not matter...

The list was updated last time almost a month ago (June 20). Hope we are listed in next update.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Issues with installing Bitcoin-Core on Fedora 20/Qubes 2 rc1 on: July 16, 2014, 04:49:07 AM
I am not familiar with Qubes OS but it looks like there is a common TemplateVM and apps are using separated AppVMs which share the root filesystem with respective TemplateVM. An AppVM has only read-only access to the filesystem of the TemplateVM on which it is based, so therefore an AppVM cannot modify a TemplateVM in any way. So maybe that is the reason why you can write into your home directory but not into system directories.

Do you have SELinux enabled (you can check it by using command /usr/sbin/sestatus)? It can cause those of errors.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core crash ! on: July 15, 2014, 04:49:27 PM
Corrupted Windows filesystem?

Probably not the case because windows will try to run chkdsk if it thinks it's corrupted.

I think Windows can detect corrupted system and program files but I am sure about other files.
Anyway checking the drive for errors should not cause any extra problems so maybe op should try it
and see if it helps.

Pool's hasrate is under 300 Gh/s so it may take some time to find a block...
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else is getting the .jar email spam? on: July 15, 2014, 07:39:22 AM
Could you list the content one of these jar-files? Just save the attachment and then open it with WinRar.
Or if you have JDK installed give command

jar tf filename.jar

in command prompt.

Bitcoin is a worthless junk currency.
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin faucet as a form of punishment on: July 14, 2014, 07:56:03 AM
I don't use faucets that pay only tiny amounts but there are some decent ones where you supposedly have a shot, although small, of getting a bigger payout. Those are worth it just for the thrill. Not for the bitcoin though. You're better off working or trying a sig campaign.

For example here  http://luckycheckin.com/?r=f66c3208dc you can get 1564000 satoshi if you are lucky enough (reflink included).

Sooner or later Q2C price ill explode.

It is now 0.00000012 in Poloniex  Sad Let's hope that Graham's mods will give it a little boost.

Can we please lock this thread?  I am pretty sure promotion is over, he said 3 giveaways, maintained his promise.  Please stop posting and lock this thread

There are 4 hashes in the first post, so may be there are still some prices left?

Obligatory joke: Bitcoin Is A Joke!

Nothing interesting. You have missed topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661781.0 (I do not remember the exact page)
The transaction with vanity addresses was used as a "public message".

Yes, missed totally  Embarrassed. Thank you for the link, looks that the puzzle was great fun.

Bitcoin is mostly just a speculative vehicle.
