Maybe in a year this $1 in BTC will be worth $10, or possibly $100. Nice. Thanks again.
Timestamped It turns out to be "just" about $2. Clearly it is really difficult to predict the bitcoin price.

IMO, the best way to earn bitcoin is joining a sig ad when you get 60 activity. I don't really suggest you to gamble, day-trade in bitcoin/altcoins or invest in altcoin IPO, as you will be more likely to lose your money than to get profits.

Its hard to ROI even with $1/GH/S its unlikely for companies to ship such cheap asics. Its either a never coming preorder or a scam company. As you mentioned, there's alot of factors to consider about. Example, cooling, space,management, powercost. The ASIC might also be of a bad quality. Think twice before buying an ASIC miner.
Even if the seller is legit, it could still be unprofitable due to its effect to the network hashrate and difficulty. If someone is able to produce and ship thousands of new-generation ASICs (with very high efficiency and very high hashrate), the difficulty could have doubled in 7 days lol.

I think only Slickage and theymos would be able to give you an actual proper estimate as to when it will come - but personally I'm thinking it'll be at least a good 9-10 months from now at least.
Theymos mentioned the software will be finished in about 1 year when asked in Feb. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=455867.msg5069851#msg5069851

A list of 20 users with over 182,462 post and i know that 1 of these 20 users PG were banned for "Spam" how many others were banned for the same offense? I'm almost 100% positive with over 182k posts not all were of valued content or added to the discussion. I'm guessing at least 10-20% of these posts were "Spam" related in nature.
P.S. 20 people have a WHOLE lot of nothing else to do beside post.
PG was banned for excessive posting (I think) It's kind of hard to understand what motivates guys like him to post that much. He doesn't get paid to post, nor he promotes a cause or a profitable enterprise. PG promotes bitcoin100 and Sean's Outpost (both are charitable organizations) and puts their links in his sig and a few of his posts, but I don't think that is related to his "excessive posting".

I've responded to you four or five times, I'm not going to waste my time repeating myself over and over just because you don't like the answer.
BadBear, why arent you willing to DISCUSS this matter/ I believe he has already answered this question... I've responded to you four or five times, I'm not going to waste my time repeating myself over and over just because you don't like the answer.
I don't think he will change his decision unless you have something new to offer.

I did not see anyone mentioning BTC China !!! Strange...
I don't think many people here on bitcointalk (of course except the Chinese local forum) have a bank account in China.

If that's one transactions that might be from a qt wallet, actually it's a feature of bitcoin-qt wallet so no need to worry about it.
It is not really a feature of bitcoin-qt at all... It happens because the sender doesn't have a single input big enough to cover the whole amount.

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to access bitcoins with just an address and key? If so, how?
I signed up in 2011 but didnt note any other info. Im able to view the address on blockchain.info and see my bitcoins.
You only need your private keys (not your encryption password) to spend your bitcoin. So if you still got them, your can import them in any wallet client and spend your bitcoin right away.

Of course theoretically it could decrease, but I can only see the hashrate to be level out, rather than going down significantly (unless bitcoin has completely died or be replaced someday). If the miners find mining not profitable, they would sell their equipment and the new owners will still use them on mining (maybe without understanding its profitability or maybe just mining for fun).
EDIT: Fixed typos.
You are aware that the difficulty dropped by nearly 10% on March 25, 2011, right? Yes, and indeed the difficulty has dropped by 18.03% on Oct 31 2011 and by 11.59% on Dec 26 2012. Maybe I should modify my earlier reply as "IMHO, it may be a bit earlier than 2140."

I've been flipping coin. how to import?
First get a 256-bit number by flipping the coin 256 times, and convert it to hex format. Then, convert it to WIF format using bitaddress in offline mode or manually with the following steps (not really suggested) Wallet_import_format. Please make sure you do enough testing to make sure everything is working, before depositing any bitcoin onto the address. i've much radioactive decay. how to import?
The idea should be exactly the same, and you need to get a 256-bit number with the decay data. You may get some idea from the section "Bit from It" in this page .

I was just thinking...
What kind of bandwidth, do you need for mining any type of crypto currency?
Would YOU be generating massive amounts of data, that needs to go over data lines constantly at a fast pace?
Will say.. A 4MB Adsl link suffice?
I do not see many people factoring that cost into their profit calculation.
Thanks for any kind of response.
With a suitable share difficulty (most pools will set it for you automatically after detecting your hashrate), your bandwidth usage should be very very low.

it's suncoin.
Never knew it. After checking the suncoin block explorer, it seems the min tx fee is 0.1/KB and so you should only pay 0.1 for your 453B tx...

My brother was mining on my laptop bitcoin. I have a nividia 660M geforce gtx grapics card. He solo mined for 1 day and found a block. If I am correct a block is 25 bitcoin, and the market value of bitcoin is about 450. So did my Brother hit the lottery in bitcoin ? I would say that its either 1) You are trying to troll us 2) Your brother is extremely extremely lucky especially when you stated its a nvidia gpu. 1) You are trying to troll us yes, he tried, but now he's back in his cave or disguised and still among us .... beware It seems he registered his account just to make the thread and troll us...

I recently sent a few payments and the transaction fees were huge: Array ( [amount] => -9.7 [fee] => -0.8 [confirmations] => 61 [blockhash] => 9e21d3f1c10d88896e815dd5f884bc441f3bffc8aac310b411a17bc0d40ebe07 [blockindex] => 4 [txid] => 5de9507afeefda771b3a4449400c26d12efccf687d0a3829ddb6aff17d65a5b6 [time] => 1399813341 [details] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [account] => [address] => SWcx3zoXCAj24RcaUVP8NaqjJGV5JfzsJN [category] => send [amount] => -9.7 [fee] => -0.8 )
)
)
What can be done to avoid this (besides grouping payments)? Which coin is that exactly? I am sure it is not bitcoin as the address is "SWcx3zoXCAj24RcaUVP8NaqjJGV5JfzsJN"

+1. Try to send a PM to the owner. If he doesn't reply your PM or come back to you after he log in, I am sure you will never receive your payment.

Ghash is a big pool, there is a good possibility they haven't shared it yet
IIRC, block rewards are credited to account balance automatically upon block finding on ghash.io.
