281  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup Guide] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 10, 2013, 03:19:25 AM
RESET

LAN should ALWAYS be DHCP.  WAN should be static.

Oh, crap. I set WAN to DHCP and now I can't access the miner. Any advice?

Let me check...  Oh, I don't want to screw up this order   Grin Grin Grin

sushi: Is it possible to pay a little extra and upgrade the shipping to UPS Worldwide Express (not Saver) with Saturday Delivery? I'm in California 91730 US. Thursdays are the least optimal day to ship Saver from China to California.

Wow, 150 units. Will they really be able to ship all 150 on the same day, Dec 12?
283  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support thread on: December 10, 2013, 02:16:49 AM
Network wise, that was a hardware thing that they actually fixed.  The original one could not blink that LED, but the V2, they fixed that.  It's 100% normal!!!

Fan speed wise.....  HuhHuh in my part

Received my latest ant a couple hours ago and have a couple questions. Possible problems:

1.) Network,  The ant is submitting shares as the well as the other 2 I have in my possession the only difference is on the first 2 ants the ethernet port only blinks green. On the new ant the ehternet port flashes yellow and green. Anyone know if this is an issue. The logs show it is eth1 is up 10mbps/ half duplex and no errors. The logs for the other ants show the same thing. Maybe this is not a problem at all.

2.) Temperature and fan. On the first two ants the fans show to be running upwards of 5000 and higher with temps no higher than 47-49

On the new ant, antminer does not report speed higher than 2600 or so with higher temps. Any thoughts or comments on either of these issues?? Thanks in advance.

287  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY OPEN] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180 GH/S 30 Units on: December 09, 2013, 05:11:22 PM
post on reserve means nothing...  When they do so, the member will be asked to pay to secure the slot on the list.  List remains open until paid.  so you can leave a reserve here, but you may not get on the list, if not get paid in time...

Those "reserved for ordering" need to be deleted.  Reserve a number or remove your post.
288  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY OPEN] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180 GH/S 30 Units on: December 09, 2013, 02:21:05 PM
The whole unit (2 blades together)  360W and up, some reported 450W.  If you run it in a warmer room, it may increases....

When you Over Clock to 200-205GH, it will be about 560W (totaling 2 blades) per unit.

OC is on your own risk, will not qualify on warranty

ok thanks
watt per board?

Even you SPAM 1,000 posts a day, your status will not change.

So, as a new member, i will not be able to pay via paypal ? That's too bad...
(unless I spam every thread on the forum...)
291  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: SHIPPED Dec 3 - [GROUP BUY] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180 GH/S 50 Units on: December 08, 2013, 02:03:46 PM
But your heater  Grin bring you BTC while burning!!!

That is about 80w higher than what I measured. Are you running it in the normal household room with hearted on for the winter or regular office setup or in the cooler area?

450W seems a bit more than advertised no?
Yes but I am running two old Corsair powers supplies to get both blades up.
yep, same here, 445W with two PSUs

Normal house with winter heating on but burning less heating oil as we have a 450w electric heater in one of the rooms  Wink

Great to hear that!  I saw quality in them but know I'm glad other members saw that and experienced it!
294  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup Guide] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 07, 2013, 09:50:01 PM
When there is nothing wrong with the system, you can change static ip and it will stay even you reboot.  But please pay attention where it gets stuck.  As soon as you hit save and apply, you will see little status thing will show up toward the top. Does it hang where it said applying changes to cgminer?

When you see that, there is a setting issue with your AntMiner. Could be the wrong config data and could be not enough power going in, even it powers on, or could be the PSU problem and so on.

If it's mining in wifi no problem, my guess is in the config setting somewhere
295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup Guide] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 07, 2013, 02:25:14 PM
I have seen this caused by the defective PSU not getting enough nice to the blades both or one of them.  also seen this error associated with the error on time server setting or the PSU needing the base charge...

Error log associated with the cgminer status would be greatly appreciated!

If it's mining in the Wi-Fi mode already, the PSU may not be the one but could be the other

Sometimes, if it hangs, I noticed by hitting save the. Bit save and apply worked on time to time but not 100>.

Is there a trick to getting the antminer to hold on to a reassigned static ip?

I go into the Network > Interfaces > Wan > and change the settings to an address on 192.168.1.x that is unassigned on my network, but when I hit save and apply it just hangs.  I've tried a few different times now, waiting 2 min, 5 min, 10 min, and after plugging the cable back into the router, the miner hasn't been reassigned to the new address.  I used the advance ip scanner utility and it still shows the same default address at 192.168.2.xx, which I can now not connect to either.  After shorting the pins to do a hard reset, I can re-connect again on 192.168.2.99.

Any ideas?

296  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 07, 2013, 10:16:11 AM
I didn't get any tips...  Sad

My tracking numbers are showing up in MyChoice. They haven't shipped yet but they have been created.

Check Table View again. I have two tracking numbers for each package. One was never actually shipped. I guess they had to correct and reprint.

yep mine still shows as blank...no tracking #s entered.  Only one of my group buys.

I tipped .25btc too...pretty lame.
297  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup Guide] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 07, 2013, 03:25:08 AM
Hi!

For the ASIC status wise, "x" doesn't necessary means the chi is faulty or failing.  If the hashing power seems to be affected, please check your PSU and wiring and reboot and check the status a few times.  It should go back to a adage 179-180 gh range per AntMiner.

Please make sure you are providing enough juice for the miner!  +12v line from molex may work on some PSU but usually the wattage on the molex line is a lot lowered and below 80w. Each blade need at about 180w or more to run optimum!

Also, for the lost IP or possible wrong IP on the sticker, using this soft wear will tell you what AntMiner's IP is!  (Thanks to JohnC. for the URL)

Backed down to 350.  Powered off and made sure all wires were good, then I pointed my box fan across it.  Powered on and back to normal.  Definitely considering disassembling from the frame and arranging for better cooling.  It's great for saving space but lousy for making it cool.

May not work in every country...

But, let's not overwhelm them with On my way! And email asking for the tracking numbers!

Not like other companies, Bitmain actually have their staffs read each email instead of just marking handled or ignored on the automated ticketing system!

By looking at the last several sales, they promised and provided excellent shipping records!

You will get your miners soon!

For those of you won the auction, please go to http://www.ups.com and sign up for the free version of My UPS services and register your delivery address. Without knowing your tracking number, the UPS will let you know when the packages are headed your way!

If you paid, Bitmain will ship your miners.

Some of us are sooooo spoiled with auto tracking number notice with online shopping experience burst this time the tracking g number notification is done manually by hands.

So it will be sooooooo much faster to find out by registering at ups website for my UPS services.

For this purpose, free version works well and I use it as well!
