161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 30, 2014, 05:25:59 AM

I will be releasing a windows wallet tomorrow afternoon that has the built in the mixer for anybody to enable.  This should be considered test software only for testnet.  you can mine your own coins on testnet for testing the mixer

So we have no mixer now? Does this coin "The first POS ANON", or not yet?
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] >> Mandatory Wallet Update - The first POS ANON on: May 30, 2014, 05:24:07 AM
Yesterday I saw dev checked in mixerann.cpp and h file, but today I found he completely delete the project, recreated it, and checkin from scratch the whole project. Is he trying to hide something? or hide some traces? And I no longer see the mixerann.h/cpp files there. What happened there?

He has no idea how to use github - and he is going to develop a crypto currency worth millions....

really? is it a joke? Grin

This is a X11 coin?

yes X11 pow/pos

looks like there's a small fork chain, but if you use V1.2, you should be sync'd and be able to mine. If not, delete the existing chain and sync from scratch. Here are my peers:

The diff is low now at 8-9, good chance to get some easy blocks Smiley

which pool is working?

This original post was posted on Ddengle.com, Popular Korean Bitcoin Forum, by user named Atomrigs.
The post points out many superior advantages of Jackpot coin. I thought it was very informative and educational, so I’ve decided to translate it and post it here on Bitcointalk.

https://www.ddengle.com/board_trading/688995

1)   Compared to Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Darkcoin, Jackpot transaction confirmation time is extremely fast. If Bitcoin is 1G phone, Jackpot is 4G LTE speed. It is fast enough to be used in everyday life transaction without any inconvenience.

2)   Jackpot hash Algorithm is superior compared to X11, GPU runs cooler and more effectively saving miners electricity cost

3)   Not only it’s effective mining with AMD, it maximizes the effectiveness of Nvidia cards which has been ignored by many coins until now. This opens up huge potential for new miners (Gamers) to come in without having to change their cards to AMD.

4)   It also maximizes the effectiveness of CPU mining. Ratio of CPU vs GPU mining is much more favorable to CPU miners when you compare it to other coins.

5)   It is very resistant to future ASIC miner. In reality, Jackpot coin’s POW mining will be most likely be over (roughly about 1 year from now) by the time anyone develops ASIC miner for Jackpot coin.

6)   For the first time, Jackpot has separate Proof of Work (POW) and Proof of Stake (POS) chains. Jackpot has maximized their effectiveness by separating them, yet complimenting each other.

7)   POS yields about 0.1% of interest every 24 hours. This rewards early miners holding the coins against inflation. Also it promotes holding their coins instead of dumping them immediately.

8 )   Miners have chance to win potentially huge Jackpot amount and become rich!! The Jackpot is also completely randomized so that big pools or farmers cannot take advantage of flawed coding and cherry pick the Jackpot block. This gives smaller miners better chance of winning the Jackpot.

9)   The developers are actively involved with future developments of the coins and maintaining active community involvement.

10)   The community is also actively involved in Jackpot coin’s development. Other developers not related to Jackpot coin are developing CPU miners and other improvements for more effective mining of Jackpot coin.

11)   Miners are more prone to holding their coins rather than dumping it immediately for Bitcoin. Combined effect of interest staking and high confidence in coins future value will actually make the coin more valuable. Value is what everyone perceive it to be, and Jackpot coins perceived value by the supporting community is much higher than its current price.

12)   JPCdice.com is fairly new site, it is less than 2 weeks old, and it is quickly becoming popular gambling site. Many miners are spending their mined coins.

13)   There are many bounties and giveaways by the developers, which helps to further activate the community’s interest.

14)   Currently Jackpot coin is not heavily marketed and current rise in interest is purely driven by community support. This in turn translates in huge potential growth in future when Jackpot coin becomes more well known.

Hope this summary helps new comers and Thank you Atomrigs for your insightful thoughts on Jackpot coin.

Well said. I like particularly the jackpot feature. It grows parabolically with the distance to previous jackpot. This looks like the real jackpot in casino, very interesting and exciting.

Or just a lot of luck, the last 81million jackpot was won by a guy mining with only 18MH. Smiley

This sounds very cool, as long as you mine, there's a chance... but some pools pay 100% to the finder, some proportional, so you can choose what you want.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) | Pure PoS | ON (BTER - MINTPAL - CRYPTSY) EXCHANGES on: May 20, 2014, 05:48:05 PM
I found a flaw with CommunityCoin back on March 29th and tried to contact communitycoin (user) but got no reply. It can cause some major blockchain bloating if abused.. communitycoin, can you please PM me?

!!! Where is the dev?
How serious the flaw is?
So serious to kill COMM?
OMG. Bad news.
It cant kill COMM. But it can flood the blockchain with nonsense transactions leaving it bloated for no reason.
So you think you can bloat blockchain with some dust kind transactions? :-)
First re-check it with latest wallet please send after this PM if any issue.
All is well!

I guess you meant orphans? all blockchain contain orphans, this one no exception. But make no fuss of it, it's normal. I don't think the COMM dev would shoot their feet to change the block chain protocol. It is the same as all other coins (although I did not check the code, it can be easily verified).

I've seen many logos proposed, scattered in the thread, maybe we should create a separate thread for logo contest, and in OP put all proposed logos, so people can see them all in one place...

Maybe this one, looks more like a logo:

I like this one

Me too, but I think maybe a simplied contour will be good. In general I don't like complicated logo, the simpler the better.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][JPC]JackpotCoin, First Jackpot hit! 90,000,000! on: May 04, 2014, 09:02:17 PM
it will kick in 24hours after launch...

Do you mean 24 hours after the Wallet is launched ? i.e. according to this statement:

- minimum holding time before the pos will be generated: 1 day.

you need to hold at least 24 hrs the coins in your wallet before the pos can be generated.
