Now that the Jackpot mechanism has proven itself to be working, we can expect a rise in price.
you need to explain to me how the release of 90M will help the price  Grin

Because it's working as intended! I've seen a price increase in Mintcoin when it proved to be working.

new version of cpuminer, 30% faster than ig0tik3d's version
Code:
[2014-05-04 23:15:29] accepted: 44/44 (100.00%), 822.05 khash/s (yay!!!)
(Note that this is on old four-core SandyBridge)

Judging from donations received, 0.00000000 BTC and 0.00000000 JPC, I don't feel like releasing source code.

The reason is no many people believe you. ig0tik3d release his code without any fee and he demand nothing from miners. Beside he has more reputation than you.
You could continue to keep your source code for yourself Wink

20k is quite sad indeed, but it's my experience that you can't CPU mine while GPU mining (I personally lose more hash on GPU than I gain on CPU), I'd bet most CPU miners are too poor to donate Sad

That being said, CPU hashes are decent on this coin. I'll test my old i7 laptop and if it works I'll gladly donate a days worth to ig0tik3d. Seems to be a standard tipping rate, no?

well it's a violation technically to share it and not give the source out when it's requested ..GPL license agreement stuff.
and the fact your are only sharing a compiled Linux binary file seems a tad off.. don't know how to compiled win binaries ?
no self respecting Nix user is going to want to use a pre-compiled Linux binary when standard practice in crypto is to compile from source.

i made my own and was writing code on my version as i seen your comment actually and i have refined my code over the last year almost..
how long have you been at it ?

i think your claim is bullshit and you are sleazy for not making the code public.. put a virus in it ?
the only way you would beat his miner i think by a whopping 30% is if you found a way to work on the hashing algo's and make them more efficient
and i don't think you know how or you would have said so in the first place.. i don't think you can a code.

i call bullshit on you guy lol

i released v5.1 the other day of my JPC CPU miner mod with a ton of new features and i am working on v5.5 right this minute
and i have plenty more features and bug fixes etc already done and more on the way..
i didn't just take someone else's code and compile it and demand money lol
On linux that involves pasting 3 or 4 lines of text in a console hahha

i got all platform's sorted out and a fresh brand new dev environment working great.
In case people don't know i started making mods of miners with COLOR (no one added color yet like i did) and various other features i thought of and have shared many miners publicly.

be careful with random new guys giving pre-compiled miners with no source code demanding money lol
did i have to say that ? lol
probably it's BCTalk  Roll Eyes

I'll have a new release posted on my miner topic pretty soon prob later on tonight with new builds for various cpu's. (topic for it posted in mining forum section)
..with source code lol

it will kick in 24hours after launch...

Do you mean 24 hours after the Wallet is launched ? i.e. according to this statement:

- minimum holding time before the pos will be generated: 1 day.

you need to hold at least 24 hrs the coins in your wallet before the pos can be generated.

hmm..

Code:
 "newmint" : 0.00000000,
 "stake" : 0.00000000,

does that change at some point? I only use the daemon, not the qt wallet. I think I saw some coins moving from the balance to "stake" once, and then moving back to the balance.

I don't get what you mean by coin control, it works fine for me.

1st go to "settings->options->displays", check the "coin control" option, then in "send" tab you can click on "inputs..." to select what coins you want to send.

I usually select "list mode" and sort by "confirmations", you want to use low confirmation ones so you preserve the maximum possible your coin-age. Select the low confirmation ones to enough you want to send, then click on "OK", you are allowed to send only these coins.

Not sure how reserve coins works exactly, it will make sure you have at least "reserved" ones not going to stake, so you can send them any time.

from what I read elsewhere, the odd of minting might also depends on the weight on your own stack compared to the total amount of coins (or something like that).
Actually to increase minting odds, I send all the coin to one single address. It seems to work (however I also received small minted block of 40JPC which seems to belong to some hashharder payout...).

Jackpotcoin Mining Pool Hub

http://jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com

Now we adjusted coin payouts when Jackpot block is found!

Block finder will get 50% of all and others will get 50% of it.
How do you think this payout?
I think it would satisfy solo miners who want big jackpot for himself alone.

We can roll back at anytime, we just want to hear from you.

Congratulations, you hit the jackpot!

Still did not hear from them, maybe night time for them now...
