I do not remember aver seen these pictures in the forum or in the official website.

http://www.btcman.com/bitebixinwen/20121117/902.html
It's got some links to other ASICs

Inside info in china?
Just the other day, I was wondering if there were actual pictures of the heatsink used in the new Singles. I don't keep up on the BFL forums that much, so I didn't know if I'd missed them, or they just weren't there. I don't think we'll have the same temp issues that the current ones have!

All of those photos are just reposts of some that were posted by Josh on BFL's forum.   As far as I know, this is the second revision all-copper heat sink that actually made it to production.  It'll be used on the Single SC and Little Single SC.   Yeah, it's good to see some copper - kinda overkill, but I think everything on this final released product will be as such = good for the pre-order customers Smiley !

Why does it not surprise me that PG has an image like that?  Was that from your personal collection, Bruno?

I think he removed the EXIF tag Cheesy - That picture is disturbing!

PSSSST CreativeX... I hate to break this to you (because apparently you didn't know)... but all rational people base their opinions on evidence (and the intelligent ones change their opinion based on that evidence if it is warranted).

The fact that you just admitted that you don't require evidence to formulate an opinion explains pretty much everything about you at this point.  Thank you for finally clearing up how you can be so irrational in the face of evidence to the contrary.

Ah. Thanks for helping a brother out! Umm...do you happen to have an opinion about religion by chance? ...and if so what is it based on?

...also by your definition there should never be such a thing as a dissenting opinion, yet these exist at the highest levels. So tell me are supreme court justices that review evidence, but arrive at a dissenting opinion irrational in your...ummm opinion? What did you base that assessment on?

This post really does say it all!  haha. Wow.

I once worked on updating my bathroom, so I totally see how PG's work as drywall contractor gives clues into how ASIC development can be done better, without the bugs they encountered.  I would have started with a better flush valve on the toilets at BFL headquarters -  less clogging.   Seriously everyone, go with a 3" or better flush valve.  It makes a difference.

Now you're just being stupid. Missing multiple shipping dates does not imply a scam.

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it. I don't believe they've "missed" multiple shipping dates at all...that would merely imply incompetence.

Actually, they've missed shipping dates due to problems that didn't show up in simulation.   Everything else has been in place, provided that the first version of ASICs worked as they should have.   While this is regrettable, and has caused BFL to miss shipping dates, the re-do of this chip should be a real bargain for anyone who would wants a superior product.  BFL seems to be taking extra caution in the re-working of the asic, as well as checking the boards for any potential issues that could come up.

Now that we're past the 50 BTC reward, it doesn't make sense for BFL to rush things and release a buggy product, just to be first.    I'll bet that Avalon and BFL will be closer to eachother in ship date than either of the companies want to be, but the BFL product will have significantly more polish to it.

BFL's first batch of chips appear to have been troubled by issues that didn't show up in simulation- with this being the case, I'd much rather have the second batch be one where BFL takes time to get it right.  They are doing this right now by testing the boards for bugs prior to receipt of the asics. Smiley

PuertoLibre -  The problem is not only in what's being assumed, but how it's being presented.

If one starts out accusations of deception, etc - all of this based on a single data source, a possibly incorrect property listing,  then how would it be in the interest of an employee of that company to volunteer any info that you would deem satisfactory?  What would Inaba have to gain?   Nothing.

Now onto what you seem to think would be useful:

If there was an agreement between the building owner and BFL to allow shipment of equipment for short-term storage prior to lease,  if the lease was prior to the website date,  if there is a sprinkler or not a sprinkler system...  If there was a prior incident involving a shag carpet fire in an office area where everyone got high on the fumes...  Nobody cares about this!

I understand that with silence, it's almost natural to find a way of creating a conversation out of nothing- but why Lease Agreement for a young tech company?   Huh

BFL will be shipping this beautifully designed game-changing product:

With this nonsense we are giving reason to bfl to call trolls.

CALL THE TROLLS! ?   Roll Eyes

My fav time travel movie.

BFL is currently waiting on flux capacitors?!  Shocked  - or maybe just flux for some new PCBs?  Smiley

You're about to see some serious (bull)shit.

Would be cool if these 8 chip ASICs could be clocked up to 88GH/s  Shocked

CPC 5.2 GH/s Miner $139.00
5.2 GH/s SHA256 Bitcoin Miner
Power consumption 70W
Dual boot with Windows and Linux
Configured with popular mining software

This is my favorite one.  $139, dual boot configured, so you get a windows license too (windows 7 probably right) Tongue !!!

Gotta love the specific #s  Cheesy  5.21857238 GH/s

At least it's an obvious scam.  It'd suck if they had made it more believable, but that gets back to why scams are sometimes intentionally bad in order to select the biggest suckers who will follow through Sad

So you must get 8 5970s included in the rig lol

If they make it 16 5870s, I'll totally pay the 139$ Cheesy  (just kidding, anyone who's reading this and not knowing that this is a scam) Tongue

As far as the will-build-to-suit is concern, yes some the office area could have been demoed, thus enlarging the warehouse/assembly area, but that would have taken time. Remember, it was a couple months ago we were shown the eBay oven being unloaded at their new warehouse, a different facility than this one which, according to Jody, they started moving into yesterday.

As far as has been discussed, and as far as I know, the first run of ASICs out of BFL will not involve use of the oven or pick and place machine.  If this is the case, all that'll be needed in the next month or so for product assembly is a pretty simple final-assembly area.
Ah,
At what point does integration of the PCB's happen in-house?

BFL's talked about the various machines not being used nor ready for Batch 1.
Then Jody says there won't be any Batches. A.K.A "Built on demand."
So at which point do they start doing most of the work they are currently outsourcing?

I'm personally relieved that the first run of these PCBs won't be done in-house.  It'd be just one more thing to worry about in the whole process.

1200SF warehouse; 4800SF Office. As of Nov. 14th, space was still available, but we were shown equipment moving in prior to that date. Possibly, the earliest starting least date was Dec. 1st. No sprinkler system. Least rate.

I don't know, but this is one big freakin' post! Smiley

You are wrong. Nowhere is mentioned "1200 sq. ft".

Yeah I dont get how that works either.  Says 6000SF is avail, largest space is 6000SF, smallest space is 4800SF and office space is 4800SF (so I'm assuming this only has 2 spaces). Is he only renting some of the space? Does that happen in shit like this?

The 1200 SF warehouse space is implied. There is 6000 SF available, 4800 SF of which is considered office space. I simply subtracted the small number from the bigger number to arrive at the warehouse size. This is standard wording in such a classified ad.

~Bruno K~

Yes, but whats the 13k number? Is this the total space of the whole building?

I don't know, but this is one big freakin' post!  Smiley

DobZombie is correct Cheesy

You've umm...seen the hashes then? Undecided

LOL!  Fucking Strange, but funny!

Seriously though,  I know of a data center nearby who is happy to not have sprinklers - they were grandfathered in.  I believe they use a Halon chemical extinguisher system, and so far so good.  I personally would rather be in that building than one that could get everything soaked in water Smiley
697  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 21, 2012, 08:13:15 PM
Ok- so we've concluded that the contents of the building might burn at any time (based on what might be bad info in the property listing) Tongue    At least there wont be any water damage to the ASICs.  With regard to safety of everyone working in the new headquarters: If the employees feel there is a risk of starting on fire,  they can rest assured in knowing a fire extinguisher is available to use.  When someone sees the inevitable PSU bursting into flames and starting what can only be a 1970s shag-carpeted assembly space on fire, they just point the extinguisher at the fire, and problem solved.

DobZombie is correct Cheesy
698  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 21, 2012, 06:41:17 AM
Speaking of workers, let's talk about their safety and reexamine that non-existent sprinkler system. And what about the space lost to the area immediately adjacent to not one, but two emergency exits?

WTF?  Does someone have a floor plan rendering too?  Ok, if so, re-arrange the layout so that people walk near the exit instead of sit right in front of the door.
Now, nobody at BFL will burn to death in the highly-unlikely event of a structural concrete fire Tongue

I'm sure everyone likes the new BFL location as much as I do Smiley  I hope they can get a logo on the side of the building- great location.
699  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 21, 2012, 06:26:19 AM
May make it hard to insure  Huh   OR............arson to come soon for insureance money  Grin

Oh no, the structural concrete is on fire!  Quick! put it out by pointing that wind turbine powered fan at it!  Tongue

Yeah, it's a nice place to get ready for final assembly of units Smiley
