421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 12, 2020, 09:55:31 PM
are there any things in life that would make you stop gambling?

the two things that come to my mind are:
- making enough or a lot of money.
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.

but can you see other things than that?
I have personally seen people who make a lot of money from gambling but are increasingly becoming gambling addicts (not stopping gambling), and those who are already married and have many children but still gamble even though the intensity of gambling decreases.  so I think for those who have already gambled, the two things above will not be able to stop them from gambling (this is my personal experience too) Cheesy
Even the gambling is addictive still its depend to the person if they become a gambling addict. For me there is no reason to stop gambling maybe i'll take a rest for a while then continue until I see my goal. Once i meet my goal then i think i should quit gambling, for me having purpose is make you lessen from being addictive in gambling.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 12, 2020, 06:37:12 PM
i only play options nowadays using platform like usual but only at trade hour so i can predict correctly about the price.
From Monday to Friday i usually play 1 - 3 hrs a day, just to see if my prediction goes right or wrong. If it takes 4 loss then it stop loss for me.
I gamble only if I have money then stop it when 3 consecutive loses. All gambling games is really habit-forming that why its better to know your limit and have target earning to get the better from your loses or prevent huge loses. I suggest dont quit gambling just make a plan on how to correct spend money and surely you will overcome your loses once you know to spend it properly.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: February 12, 2020, 04:55:14 PM
We all dream at this at some point, ain't we ?

expect hypocrite will never accept that reality that all of us here once in our life dream of becoming millionaire from gambling, mostly dreamed of winning jackpot in lottery lol.
But the truth is that this goal is very hard to achieve trough gambling but yea who knows , instead of playing at lottery its better to roll the dice or have a sports bet I can give you this. If you are the gambler who is playing at high odds (300+) at some point the luck will hit. Besides all of this , depends how much money are you rolling into this and how much are you willing to lose until you gain or stop-win situation ?
we have our own taste in gabmling, some of us wanted easy money so they play in Dice or other games that instant result while others love the old passion ways in which buying ticket in lottery for more excitement as result vary sometimes 1-3 days .
All of us wanted to achieve our dream and to make it happen many of us are do anything just to achieve are goal even through gambling. I believe gambling is not bad at all especially when we wanted to have a huge earning, just have a mindset that stop for a while then continue until you achieve your goal. No need to be addictive in gambling just to satisfy your needs.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TIPS FOR NEWBIE GAMBLERS ! on: February 12, 2020, 01:40:09 PM
Snip
Those are nice tips but how about don't even try it because they could get addicted or it could ruined their life.
But if they really want to try it and they could control their self then the only tip that I could give is try to enjoy it and don't be greedy.
Gambling won't ruin your life unless you don't know your own limitation and you allow greediness to take control of your decision making. The impact of gambling on your life depends on how you make your choices and actions. The problem is some gamblers do not think the possible outcomes before risking their funds that's why they lose and then end up doing the same mistake by playing the same game with the thought that they can get back the money they have lost but since they allow it to be a foundation of their decision, they end up losing again.
I agree gambling its not bad at all its depends on how you manage your loses and wins. If you have goal while enjoying then you never have regret moment even you lose. Have goal is the key know your limit and stop if really needed, or should i say rest for a while if you lose continuously then come back again when you ready.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 12, 2020, 12:06:51 PM
I guess the same goes for both. Whenever a gambler wins they become greedy and crave for more money. On the other hand, when gamblers lose they chase for their losses. So in both situation, it is still difficult to stop.

Take note that any habits that you isually do or do in a regular basis is something difficult to stop. It might take time and you might need to withdraw on it gradually.

For me its better to stop when you losing because there is possibility to save some of your money from losing. As long as you continue you might possible to lose it all, so its better to stop specially to those people who now become addictive to gambling. Stop as long as you can because when you do gambling there is a big possibilty you might regret it in the end. Stop when you feel that you started to lose everything, and you cannot control it.
426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you hold on a trade. on: February 11, 2020, 05:13:07 PM
You are right that I accept as true with you that we should always keep longer Because nobody can say when the worth of a currency will rise. once I bought a replacement currency the worth went down after buying a coin, but I used to be not disappointed to stay it and afterward doubled the value of my investment. Sometimes I keep it for six months and sometimes I double it.
But the thing is, as much as you hold longer requires too much risk, you need to be careful to which coin you will hold on and will gonna invest ,because it will be a troublesome if you will invest in a wrong coin and can only make you regret buying it. I will hold only thos coin who are in the top 10 of having a frequent update in their social medias for me to have assurance.
427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons for traders to look at! on: February 11, 2020, 03:28:25 AM
This is nothing which would make you a professional trader overnight so it is always better so start with minor things first. Learning how to trade would surely take some time and you need to devote maximum time if you ever want to have profits from trading.

There are a lot of factors which should be considered before moving on trading. Forex trading and crypto trading does not have much difference just the major difference is about the high volatility of price. Rest, we can see similar methods of trade, same patterns, risk management, etc in both the trades. Newbies have a huge journey of knowledge in order to become a professional trader.
There is no rush thing in trading , we need to put everything in a process wherein, understanding the market, how to trade effectively will be improve once we now be able to learn it, few more years and few more losses is a part of the game and part of the trade, just understand everything and it would be worth it, a lot of patience is really needed, not only skills nor knowledge , all of them is needed.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Trending on China on: February 10, 2020, 09:06:14 PM
It's pretty obvious that Bitcoin is trending around the globe, not just in China. And it doesn't matter if they really embrace it or not. As Bitcoin will continue to grow exponentially in the next coming decade without China. This is similar to what we witnessed in 2017, lots of country are watching it, and as a result, more regulations what introduce. The thing with Bitcoin or at least crypto is that it continue to grow and if one country ban it, guarantee they will be left behind.
Yes its treding worldwide but then , we may see this possibility as well, it could be because of their current issue, digital currency might be one of the good way to communicate and pay their goods without direct contact that is why it happens that it is being get trending in weibo. Weibo is a good source as well, it is like facebook, a social media in western. But in weibo you may see recent news in their country as well.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: February 10, 2020, 03:25:33 PM
Few years ago house investing on gambling sites are somewhat popular due to good profit. Now I seldom heard on people doing it. Most gambling sites aren't offering investors too. Some are still accepting investors but are lowering the investors share of profit. If I have ample of time to manage my funds then I will definitely do it. Even 5% income per annum is still good knowing that banks cannot offer that kind of interest.
Yes maybe somehow casino owners do not want to have many stock holders, they just want a few people holding it, but if I will having some money then I will do it as well, I think it is a good investment but a risky one. Maybe some casinos do not want to share some profits to others as well we all know that casinos earn millions everyday, having a less people running it makes them very rich, but this is only my point of view as well.

Maybe investing in gambling sites now still profitable, but I am not sure that many gambling sites still give this option to their members. We need to find out which gambling site that accepting the investment so we can make a profit although it is a small profit. No matter if the profit is small, that still a profit to us. But we cannot expect to make a big return no matter if bitcoin price increase higher because we use it to get small bitcoin by using the investment.
Yes, they will allowed us but, they will get the higher earning than us, since we are just making a partnership with them , not being a co-owner of it, we are just having a piece of them, not a part of them .
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: February 10, 2020, 12:01:34 PM
It was also over 10000$ but for a short period of time. However, there is nothing to panic about, corrections are happening all the time and are quite usual. Because of volatility that is something we always need to have in mind before making some premature conclusions.
In the next period I expect for price to go back and forth, so we will not have some steady growth but not the fall either. Regarding that I don't expect some major changes in price.
Yes it is! It is normal like what I have said before, we will experience some dip as well, before the halving occurs it will be some dip but it will not very deep, it happens , and we will experience some patters I think , a triple buttom and it will indicates that bull run has started and then it will be happen I think next month or this 3monts onwards.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 10, 2020, 07:33:30 AM

I would strongly disagree with this point. There is never a amount of money that one would be satisfied with because if ever there was such a amount that would satisfy people enough to not think about earning then surely the likes of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates would be sitting idle in their house.

I agree that when we gamble we always feel like if we win some certain amount, we would stop gambling once for all. But trust me being a gambler I have often reached such targets and the greed only increases.

The only way I personally see is - Find some hobbies, which you suggested as your 2nd option.
Me too, even though I will earn a lot in gambling still I will not stop to gamble it becomes my hobby and sometimes the money that I am getting there will be used in my daily expenses, savings and sometimes in trading as well. There comes a time that I already think about stopping but then , it runs in my blood now and I cant stop not because I am already addicted on it but because it is my source of fun now.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 09, 2020, 08:55:31 PM
Really nice to see people are being good for gambling and they are getting interested in gambling. We make a list of days and then I gamble only in my free days. I think we should not disturb our study for gambling and gamble only if we get spare time from our daily working or studying routine as I use to gamble only in my free time and mostly at night time.
Yes , we all know that gambling really makes us happy but keep in mind that we should make our priority in order so that we can have a peace in the future and it can help us in many things as well. Study first and then gamble when you graduate, or gambler when it is after your exam but I really dont recommended it. You should study before gamble.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: February 09, 2020, 04:31:41 PM
I invested to the gambling sites before and I got a good profit but it is not a lot of money because my investment there is not big.
If you want a big profit you need to invest a lot of money too because the percentage that offer of the gambling sited is very big I think few bitcoins is enough to fullfill your profit you need so you can say investing in gambling is worth it.
That could be good if you invested in a successful casino or gambling site, because there are some sites that aren't sucessful due to some reasons that they are not competitive enough among its competitors, they are having small number of gamblers and clients. I think investing in a gambling site is quite good, especially if that casino is legal, have some unique feature than other gambling site, you need to take a risk, more than the risk you are taking when playing gambling, expect a high taxes too, if your country is also giving taxes even an online casinsos.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: February 09, 2020, 03:16:29 PM
$10k is such a level that people seriously consider it as the real price of bitcoin most of the time, that was true in 2018 when we were going down, it was true in 2019 when we both went up and went down, and now it is true today.

For some reason, people think that selling bitcoin at 10k is not a bad idea since it could be lower, we also think that buying bitcoin at 10k is not a bad idea because it could go higher as well, 10k is one of those prices where it is both possible to go up and would be believable and it could go down same way as well, that is why 10k is the perfect price to do whatever you want.

We will see once again when we move beyond 10k how we will react, 9k is not enough for us because we want 5 digits and to be fair bitcoin deserves to at least see above 10k in the next month for what it has achieved in the past 2 months.
We can see that the current price of bitcoin now is about $10000 , and it happens that there are few more days before halving and I think it will continue to go beyond that price, many people are now buying more coins since they already knew that there will be halving and it is fast approaching so in order for them to have big gains they will buy more now.
435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull and bear market. on: February 08, 2020, 09:41:35 PM
That depends on strategy of course there many methods to profit from a bull or bear market. If you like investing you could make profit in long term investment with a simple method buy low then sell high.

If you more on trading, you could try day trading where you can short and long but this involve lots of experience.
Bear market is the good timing to buy the coins that are being expensive to have or some coins that you want to hoard. It is natural for a trader to wait for this moment so that he can buy as much as he can, then he will wait for the bull run, bull run is happening today, a  great jump in prices will soon be happen, due to halving expect more price increae in both bitcoin and alts.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction of Tom Lee 27k$ on: February 08, 2020, 04:28:38 PM
Not only Tom Lee many of the crypto experts are coming with different predictions, most of them know if Halving happens then surely BTC will pump at least 100% for sure or more. One thing I clearly understand is we have to hold BTC at least till May, I guess it will reach at least 16k well that's my prediction guys.
There are many predictions on how much the bitcoin will be this year, one pf those is I have read to an article that , halving is really coming , it is happening in every four years I dont know if it is true about this 4yrs thing but one thing that I believe and know that is true is , when halving takes place expect for the bitcoin to go higher I think it is more probable to range that in $10000-$15000.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: February 08, 2020, 03:00:53 PM
Yes, especially if we are just bragging about it and we're not even giving some to the people who always supports us in our hobby, they will just be annoyed, get tired of your stories, then they will not listed anymore to your success. Eventually, you will the right people to whom you should brag your success, and fake people will come out, you will see them like they are true people but they are only sticking with you because you have the money.

Bragging is not always about saying it out loud, let your action speaks louder than your voice.
Yeah its kinda annoying that there are people keeps bragging their gains like what are you thinking to tell me that? Don't you know that I am earning too or sometimes you are just being sad about your losses and then somebody speaks up and telling their gains it is kinda annoying and it makes me fee envious. Stop telling or bragging gains, be a lowkey gambler that's a for me.

- making enough or a lot of money.
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.

but can you see other things than that?

I think, the reason you have been given is the reason why I like gambling not the reason why I would stop playing . Yes gambling makes people rich or having much money but at the same time it will be a source of fun when you know how to make friends with co-gamblers , enjoying the challenges in casinos , finding new strategies and waiting game in lottery, for me there will be no reason for me stop gambling , not unless I find myself that I fall into addiction in gambling, but as much as possible I control myself, my spending and my emotion so that I will not be addicted to it.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull and bear market. on: February 08, 2020, 06:29:24 AM
Personally, I seldom trade on a bear market, I consider myself still fairly novice on the world of trading, so I might find it difficult to short or day trade. The best approach for me is to just buy in dip and then hold. But for more seasoned traders around, I would assume that it doesn't matter what market we have, whether it's bull/bear. Those guys really know to play in this market, and make profits day in day out.

Bear market is the right time to buy , all of the coins are experiencing a down time of inflation, we need to stay and hold the coins that we want if we are not having money to buy more since its bear market, but as what I can see it is a bull market approaching for bitcoin holders, bitcoins shows a high 15% in past 3months, it really indicates that halving is fast approaching so better to hold as much as you can now.

But specifically taking in terms of newbies, I would suggest to wait for the bullish trend to arrive in order to start their trading. New traders can hardly make profits in the bearish trend and also I have went through a lot of new traders who made a mistake of buying at peak in the bull runs of mid 2017 and are regretting as the price for bitcoins has not even crossed $10000 from that time.
This is what you should avoid. Never buy at the peak expecting that the price would pump more. Try to study some graphs by applying some indicators which would give you a rough idea about which exactly is the peak and dip.
But I really don't recommend that as well, newbies or beginner trader need to manage their money, they are starting, if they don't have any money but they want to hold their coins because it is bear market, they would be hungry, they need to sell at least half of it so that they can have a money to support their daily needs as well.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are exchanges still listing shitcoins? on: February 08, 2020, 04:34:06 AM
Exchanges won't stop listing shitcoins until they stop getting money from applications or bribe money to get certain coins or tokens listed. The larger and more reputable exchanges typically have more stringent applications that makes it harder for newer coins to get listed, but most exchanges allow shitcoins to be pretty easily listed. I don't find many advantages as someone who doesn't trade those coins to have a ton of them on exchanges, but I guess it also does boost an exchange's overall trading volume by a bit.
Some exchanges, will continue to list any coin as long as the team will pay the exchange for every pair that they will about to ask, and it would be a long term listing sometimes, there are some exchanges that won't let this happen, I think in HitBtc if I am not mistaken or in other exchange they will delisted the coin once it is not yet active and orders are not huge and they dont have any trades. Binance is very strict in terms of this one so as you can see, they aren't listing any shit coins there.
