321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Investing. on: March 04, 2020, 03:59:21 AM
I still insist that trading should not be really the main purpose of using bitcoin but unfortunately I am talking against a multi-million dollar sector that is run by billion dollar valuation companies so there is really no way I will ever be heard. When you buy and sell bitcoin all that quickly you are using it the wrong way and you are actually hurting yourself as well.

Bitcoin should have been earned/spent instead of bought/sold and that would even increase the price of bitcoin as well and make the traders money but unfortunately it became something for financial corporations to make more profits from the smaller investors and result with poor/middle class people to lose even more money to them. Really a big shame considering it was created just for the opposite reasons.
In fact, people usually only care about profit when trading and no one ventures to invest in the long run because this market is very volatile. In addition, this year the market is likely to become harsher because we cannot predict anything. However, if you have an effective trading strategy and spend a lot of time analyzing the charts, you will find a reasonable price to buy.
I agree, most people want to get profit so they choose to trade than invest, also most of people want to earn easily than waiting to get profit. For me I choose trading because there's a small risk to take as long as have enough knowledge and have strategy.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Options is a bit overwhelming for me. Any Suggestions to make it easier? on: March 03, 2020, 11:40:15 PM
Are there any guides that could help me understand trading options? or any platforms that makes it easier for trading?

By now what's great is that you realised there are way too many trade options out there and they all have their own perks and what not but if you know exactly what you want to do and which strategies you pally you can already start to eliminate a lot from the huge list of exchange platforms available out there. What I'd advise first of all is to understand how trading works and its operations in general.

Once you get a good understanding of that, you can then move on to do experiment that on some of the most well known exchanges, sone you might have probably heard a lot about is Binance, and if that doesn't suit you needs maybe try a platform that houses a lot of other different exchanges like bestchange. I have used this platform myself when transitioning between different altcoins and I had no problems.

Just experiment at your own will but do remember it may be risky and you might lose money, especially at the beginning.
For me its better to have enough knowledge before you start  about in trading because it will easy for you to  perform ot do it. And also you need to know more where uou can trade, and most of all you need to know to know the current situation of the market and know how to checked the situation because it will give you advantage to your trading.

323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Charts Are Garbage on: March 03, 2020, 09:15:43 PM
Yeah, differentiating the good ones from the bad ones are the real trouble to people who do not read charts themselves. When you go into chart reading world you will realize that there are many people who are horrible at this but still continue to make charts and tell people what bitcoin will do and you are scared that people may actually believe them, that is why if you want to listen to other peoples chart readings and you want to take them seriously, you should first learn about it yourself.

If you can't read charts at all, you should not look at others as well since they could be very good at their job or maybe they are just making stuff up and newbies themselves, so you can't be sure.
For me I see no problem about monitoring for the crypto chart because it is still depend on you if you want to believe to it. This kind of chart give only a possible happen in the crypto, but it doesnt mean you need to follow or believe on what ever it say about crypto. For me its better to have enough and own knowledge about the chart and youre the only one who can say if its worth to believe or not.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What p2p games will you play? on: March 03, 2020, 03:56:46 PM
A strategy game would be the best P2P games I like to see a platform that would make a strategy games for P2P bets.
It should be the eSport games themselves that must offer p2p betting. I wonder why is that they don't offer one the best service they could give to their users and potential bettors. It's been a while since we started playing eSports games with bets together with our co-players in our city. I wonder how would the p2p betting affect the life of the eSports.

Maybe we need to petition this to the eSports game developers and help them to produce this service. Anyone in the game will be sure to be happy with this and get inspired.
I never encounter a p2p games but if ever had in betting games, maybe most of players dont try this kind of games because first peer to peer betting is legal but not accepted in some Law. Second its still better to bet from your crypto than using your fiat. But if ever p2p games betting become known then possible it will used of some player and maybe I try it, but for now i'll remain the old style betting.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you gamble in a league with serious allegations of collusion? on: March 03, 2020, 10:04:24 AM
There are a lot of rumors in the past about bad things in every team, every time I heard it it is so annoying up to the point that it doesn't matter to me anymore.

All I want to do is just bet on that team no matter what. There might be a player that is hated by the people, or a scandal happened, what matters is that that team is the team I support and no matter what, I will bet on them. The money is not affecting them nonetheless so I think it doesn't matter at all whether I bet or not on them.

For me it doesnt matter as long as it can caused me harm particularly in my money. Also that kind of transaction in gambling is sometimes happen, and no one care about it because they only mind the result of their betting. So if you have problem to that kind of gamble then you should find another games, which satisfy you.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: March 03, 2020, 08:53:48 AM
Ok you are gambling just for fun, your friends and neighbors knows that and a friend invited you to his party to be one of the candidates as a councilor and campaign will start in 6 months, now, of course, you need to have a good reputation, will you stop gambling just to have a good image this coming campaign and how will you defend yourself if accused as a gambler.

Well politics is dirty, regardless you are a gambler or other vices. Your opponents will attack you no matter what so with that said, I won't stop with my gambling habits.

I saw a lot of politicians here in my country with worst than gambling, but they still won the election no matter what. So it really depends on the candidate itself, it people see that you can bring something new in the table, then people are going to elect you, no matter what your past is, even a frequent gambler.

Being a politicians is one thing and playing gambling by a politicians should not be mixed with the politics. Everyone has the right to do whatever they feel good at and if we can do gambling, why can't popular people like politicians can do the same.
Yes, you can point out finger on them if they do not perform their duty well, but we should not interfere in their personal activities.
Even I play gambling it doesnt mean Im not a good person, involving in gambling not defined who you are. Sometimes we dont need to listen to those people who always have saying to us because they only want an attention as long as you dont step on someone, then do what ever makes you feel happy. Its better to worry about your character because it is who you are than reputation is only think people who you are.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: March 02, 2020, 08:43:51 PM
Just curious here.
I know there are tons of way to live.

but is there such a thing as professional gamblers?

people who make a living onlyout of gambling (online or on rl)?

resources and comments on that are really welcome.
Yeah there are many people who live their lives via gambling, what I have saw is the poker players were they made millions of money in playing poker while making poker as their way of living. Ex. Daniel Negreanu.

Like they create videos or blog about their strategies and tricks, they are very popular because of their skills in gambling and how they always win. But what I saw to others are, they are using some inappropriate tricks just to profit in gambling and the gambling operators are strictly monitoring them because of this behaviors. Aside from this two, I didn't know whether there are people out there that lives in gambling by just luck only as it is not enough to continue winning and profit in the end.
Most likely those professional gamblers are the one who spend more time in gambling and gamble is part of their lives now. So living away from it is not easy particularly to those make it as profession because this activity by which one regularly makes a living. They badly need help especially those have symptom of addiction, they cannot do it by themselves. It take long to time before they can get over from it.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi-accounts, the industry-standard and KYC. on: March 02, 2020, 07:35:43 PM
The people who would only try to avoid KYC are the ones who are trying to hide their identity because they did something. People with good intentions are most likely to provide their information to any platform without any hesitation and threat against it.
It is more than a little concerning how widely the "I have nothing to hide, therefore I have nothing to fear" argument is believed, when it is utterly nonsensical. There are a hundred reasons why I might want to keep my identity private, despite not doing anything illegal whatsoever. There are a hundred more reasons why I will never hand over my KYC to any crypto exchange, service, wallet, casino, whatever, regardless of how "reputable" or "trustworthy" they are. Having a basic concern for your own privacy and not wanting to have your life ruined from someone stealing your identity does not mean you are inherently doing something illegal or shouldn't be trusted. Governments and three letter agencies push this lie to justify mass surveillance and spying on their citizens. You shouldn't believe it.

If you think that only people with bad intentions want to withhold their information, then please post your full name, links to all your social media profiles, email addresses, browser history, and all your passwords here. I want to go through your emails, social media, and history and publicly publish anything I find for all your friends and family to see. If you don't want to do that (definitely don't do that!), then you accept that there are legitimate reasons people might want to hide their identity. Please read my post here for why you should no longer believe this argument: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5214200.msg53499357#msg53499357
For me even I have nothing to hide or I'm not doing something illegal it doesnt mean I'm qualify to KYC, but still Im not going to give my all my information because for me we cant trust no one particularly in our holiding crypto. Sometimes its better to be in private because nothing good ever comes from too many people knowing your business, being a private and low key is the best way to be.
329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So are we in bullish times or Not?? on: March 02, 2020, 08:02:50 AM
Markets are falling, perhaps the influence of the coronavirus, even gold has dropped in price, this undoubtedly indicates to many that the best option is to "sell" everything, but in all markets when such events occur, recovery It is brutal, maybe in the short term an upward path can occur, you must have nerves of steel to buy and hodl, honestly it is the best option to expect the very sure upward movement that will occur at any time.
Coronavirus is something that is very worrying for the world economy at this time, although I'm not sure the effect is so great on the crypto market because at the same time, ahead of halving bitcoin I feel that a big correction is indeed sure to happen and whatever is happening now I'm not sure there will be upward movement in the near future. Be patient and we don't need to panic to sell all the assets that have been championed so far, because this market still has a chance to reach the next ATH in the future.
Yes of course there's a time we encounter a pumping and dumping but if we have positive thought we can overcome all of it. Also we need to be ready all the time because we can experience a not good in the market. Patient is the one of the good way to overcome all not good happening in any aspect of crypto. And always be optimistic all the time it will help you a lot.
330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trade - New trend of cryptocurrency exchanges? on: March 01, 2020, 11:57:41 PM
No wonder why it comes into like this. Because they saw the others that this kind of artwork has an amazing result in attracting them to copy their works and mirroring with them will actually it works. This kind of scenario isn't new to everyone, people will always do the same if they saw the others being successful in one thing. I'm not sure if that falls into greediness (maybe) but for sure it is because of jealousy.

That is why some mentors won't teach everything they know to their trainees because they also think that these trainees could copy everything they have in the future. And possible they can be of its big competitor in the future.

Many people today are struggling about trading and most of them lose their money because of having a wrong decision for investment or prediction of the market price. One of the best things to do by the market and platform because they created the copy trading platform today with the use of it many people now will easily trade because they can now copy the market trade of the other people. But still, we need to monitor the market price of the coins because even we have a trusted copy trader still there is a chance that they have a mistake of having trading. Still, you can follow the trade of other people and make changes if you think you are not confident by that market prediction.
I agree, most of player encounter a hard time in trading particularly those newbie because not all have ability to know when the good time to trade or not. Sometimes those who fail are the one who easily get distracted like when a little pump or dump  of the market, also another reason why they failed is they trade without checking the status of the market. I think traders should be more learning to know and more knowledge to avoid mistake trading.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading/Gambling Journal on: March 01, 2020, 09:56:20 PM
Attempt - 5

I always thinking if im going to make a journal because I want to know if having a journal is can help us to have a good path in gambling and help us to explore gambling without become addicted to it. And I think Having a journal remind us to not too much involving to gambilng or trading and help us to lessen encounter a loses.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How fair is Provably Fair? Do you verify every bet as a gambler? on: March 01, 2020, 06:25:04 PM

Client seed: It can be anything. It is up to player to choose anything as his client seed. For example, I can use 'webtricksClientSeed' as my client seed or 'thisIsMyRandomClientSeed'. However, while choosing client seed make sure three things:
(i) Always choose new seed for new bet (never try same client seed with new server seed).
(ii) Don't choose easily identifiable seeds like I mentioned above (close your eyes and type random numbers and alphabets. I do like this and it works Cheesy).
Could you elaborate on this statement please? Why it's so important to do that?
Do you think the house program will detect you are always using the same seed and will create a losing server seed for it or it has nothing to do with that? Thank you very much to explain me what you mean (or someone else here).

Yes, house can detect the client seed. This is how the house can detect your client seed:

Bet 1: I used 'myFavSeed' as my client seed. After the bet, I clicked 'new seed' and site changed server seed plus generated new client seed for me, say 'dgbeigeinwo35353'.

Bet 2: But since I love my client seed, I again changed client seed to 'myFavSeed' and played the bet. After second bet, I once again generated new seeds to verify my second bet.

Everything will go well up till here. Since server seed is generated prior to client seed, house have no way to cheat you. But here comes the catch. Suppose house is maintaining the record of every client seed that you verified like this:

User.verifiedClientSeeds = ['myFavSeed', 'myFavSeed'];

Now house can check if client seed used in first bet is same as the second, if true then house will use 'myFavSeed' as dummy client seed and generate a server seed for a specific result. This server seed's hash will be shown to you for third bet.

If you once again choose 'myFavSeed' as your client seed, the result will be same as what house decided before game. However, in games like dice this may not be very advantageous for house. House may fix that the result will be 92.68 but still have no control over Roll over/Roll under which user may choose arbitrarily. But this thing can be disastrous in case of auto bet or if house even maintains the record of your betting habits. For example, if I picked roll over 50.5 four times whereas picked roll under 49.5 eleven times. Then house can draw a trend that I like to pick roll under 49.5 so it will present me server seed such that result generated with that server seed and myFavSeed as client seed will be above 49.5.
As player everytime I bet I always verify to less the loses, also its good to know your betting games first before you place your bet to know if it can trusted or worth it because there are still some betting site give you nothing. Some gamblers are to smart in betting in gambling because they knew how to do proper way in doing thing.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BOXING: Fury vs Wilder III on: March 01, 2020, 01:16:45 PM
It’ll be another big pay day for Wilder
Obviously that is why he is still interested with the 3rd fight, IMO, they are expecting it to generate more money compared to the last two fights.

but I think the result will be the same Smiley
Just like most of the people after seeing the last two fights, they will think that Fury would still easily win this fight but I hope this would be a more competitive fight and Fury will struggle a bit.

For me Wilder has a chance to win this battle again fury because he seem very eager to compete fury even his opponent have potential, and I see him as a good  example of not giving up easily because of his determination to win the battle even his foe give him a hard time or struggle but still Wilder keep continue to reach his goal to win.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Local bookie with high limits for fixed etc on: March 01, 2020, 11:48:55 AM
Hello guys in my country we have a big local bookie with big limits If you have fixed games or big value games you can contact me !! If you want stakes I will do it from your balance !! I can prove that I am enough reputable contact me here if you are interested! For more details @Unlimited251

To be honest, I don't really get what you are offering here. You seem inconsistent. But since you are offering "a big local bookie", why don't you ask those people in your locality to entrust their bets to you? It is hard to offer that to an international platform. Accountability is totally nil. And considering that you are just a newbie to this forum and no single reputable member here could vouch for you either, the chance that you will be entrusted with bets is almost zero.
I never yet tried this kind offering because it seem its not good enough, this kind of bookie for me is like scam or too impossible. But I there are still worth it, only need to do is enough knowledge before place betting to it. For me its better to know it well because it is good for our money to be safe avoid loses which most of the time its happen especially those newbie.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what games have the best odds. on: March 01, 2020, 10:26:31 AM
The odds on different casino games can be calculated, but nevertheless, the casino also knows this and will tend to pay less on the games that are easier to win... come on people, think about it, if gambling was profitable for the gambler, why casino owners are rich? why are there so many casinos? why they rarely bankrupt?
There are people with special mind skills that can calculate odds in real time and beat the game many times... but these are usually forbidden to enter casinos
I thing games that have a best odd are the games that hard to win because the owner of the casino gambling make somthing to not easily get it by players or gamblers. That's why many casino owner are mostly become rich because of a lot players who interested and support there games, so the more players want it the more money they can get.
336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss, A life saver or a evil? on: February 29, 2020, 11:59:17 PM
I strongly recommend that every crypto trading must use stop loss, because crypto prices are very volatile so if you don't use stop loss we will
experience running out of capital, which is likely to cause prices to continue to fall. For me personally the stop loss is a life saver, because I've
experienced escaping several times from the losses I experienced thanks to using stop loss. Indeed, we have to manage our capital if you want
to use stop loss optimally, so that after we do stop loss, we can re-enter the market by buying more coins at a cheaper price.
Indeed because if you continue there's possibility you lose more, so I think it better to stop for a while and wait until the rising of the market. When you stop it can save you from huge loses but if not it will cause you a harm to your money.
Basically you can avoid loses if you observe the movement of the market, because you will know if market is falling when you saw red marked, always monitor the market before you trade.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: February 29, 2020, 03:24:21 PM
Nope, Never done it before,
I do gamble occasionally but I never tried to gamble on the project that I've promoted so far.
I think it doesn't really matter for them since they already have so many players.
And I feel like if I gamble at their platform I am just sending back their payment or I am just fooling myself.

Well what you can do is that you can set a certain percentage of amount that you would like to gamble with and then can play with that amount only. Also if you not sure if that site is not in your favours it’s a different thing else all gambling site obviously do exists to make money for themself and not to keep donating money to others . But it’s only that if you play for fun you can play and use their services  too.
Set a goal when you wore a signature of gambling campaign to prevent you from loses. Play with discipline so you can decide in a proper way to avoid from random decision. And to used their service or your  participant in signature then try some gambling games.that you know its favours to you or those games that easy for you.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Safe or crazy? (sports tickets) on: February 29, 2020, 02:15:20 PM
I wonder if you like small and safe odds or you like crazy odds with a large amount of money, here we are talking about a sports forecast.
I genuinely like crazy odds with low investment.
I usually play two tickets with a small chance of winning, but this is more interesting to me than the "safe" odds.
Do you love when you are hoping and chances are low or when you are hoping and you know that chances are high for that to happen.
An experienced bookmaker usually likes small odds (but he has analyzed those odds well before playing) with big money.

In football gambling, there is nothing like safe odds, they are all crazy odds.

I have once this season few weeks back, play a game (Valencia handicap 0:3) and my friend valencia got beaten 4 good unreplied goals

Nothing safe, the safe way to sports betting is if you can reduce your no of games, which therefore reduces no of risks involved on the bet.

In the english premier league this season, CRYSTAL PALACE 2 - 2 MANCHESTER CITY, sports bet page legit gave CRYSTAL PALACE 13.0 good odds to draw city, and it was an easy bet.

LOts more, just try to reduce your risks, nothing like safe odds.
Its depend  to the sport ticket but I cant say its safe because all betting games have risk to take. The only thing good about it is if you place bet with a good odd then possible the luck is yours. Also you must know the strategy of betting because it can win you particularly in playing dice because playing dice seem easy to play but its not, so you must played it with strategy.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have an idea in percentage how big gambling industry's contribution? on: February 29, 2020, 12:03:21 PM
uhm contribution? I'm pretty sure gambling just takes advantage of the medium or existence of BTC/cryptocurrency as a way to invite more gamblers to play in their sites and the likes. Still, it isn't like the adoption of crypto to gambling had 0 effect on the market. It'd be more like a mutual cooperation between the two, where usage of Crypto widens the accepted users of the gambling industry, and the existence of crypto itself is spread through the various casinos/gambling sites made for them.

Still, if we were to compare it to contribution made to the attention BTC has, it would be less than 30%, maybe even lower. Vast majority of the attention BTC has was obtained through the market boom of 2017, as well as its usage of a decentralized system. The concept of it being used in gambling is nothing more but an additional feature imo.
I think the percent of gambling contribution is about 50% maybe because it has crypto involve. But if no crypto involve then its percentage is less than 30% because most of player want to win big, also they will choose to gamble in actual than gambling online if no crypto include. Also I think gambling has a big contribution to all gambler with or without involving of crypto but because of some counter not allow to gamble and illegal im some country it is still can have operation in privately.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for favourite cryptos used on Gambling. on: February 29, 2020, 11:07:28 AM
Today of course people are using it for "good things too", but in the past many people use it to buy weed and drugs because it was "impossible to track" you know  Cheesy
A lot of people bought it for this reason, but of course today you will prefer to use privacy coins such as Monero or Verge

I guess some people are still using crypto for illegal things like buying weed and drugs because crypto can hide their identity when they use it to purchase illegal items. I think Monero or Verge is not too popular with bitcoin or another coin, and many people still prefer to use bitcoin, ethereum, or else. When we use crypto, it means we can get privacy in making a transaction, including when we use crypto for playing gambling. But we don't have to use crypto for illegal things if we don't want to get caught by the government or the police.
If I have huge money I'll choose Bitcoin because it is most valuable coin to all but it is also too expensive and have higher transaction fee. So I choose crypto which also give me enough money and one of the good coin too, also give me a privacy when Im played gambling. But when I reach the amount I wanted I will still buy Bitcoin over and over again .
