$20 for an registration with my personal ID, I think it is to cheap. $200 are better, this are our personal information and they are valuable. $20 is a joke in my opinion.

I would not sold my personality even for $2000. Looks like Byteball is launching a hunt for schoolboys .

That's the hard part for a good distribution model.
The initial plan is to involve more people in, but try the best to avoid the cheaters by IDs.
But in the crypto world, few peoples would like to "sell" their IDs for only $20. At least, not me.
I would not either. But there are such poor countries who are ready to do this without any doubts and regrets

yeah, but without any doubts and regrets they will dump at once and  just pretty much screw the whole thing up.

What would be other ways we could distribute this? Referral fees for both new joiner and the referrer works well (See this in both Crypto and real world with Uber) but can we stop this getting abused and only apply to genuine users? minimum time period before funds can be sold or a number of transactions to take place prior to funds being released?

I think people from Venezuela will be highly interesting in use this promotion and get some easy cash and create an ecosystem out of byteball.
no one sell their identity to the network where the owner controlled 40% of the value and 100% of the network.

I understand the need to be careful with disclosing your ID, it's can be hacked and used for a number of bad things but your argument doesn't make sense. Whats this person going to do with your ID? Create bogus credit card applications, sell it on to someone who will? You just stated he controls 40% of the value and certainly doesn't need the money.

I have to say, the whole distribution canceling fiasco is very unsettling. It's never good to go back on promises made to investors...

No promises were ever made by anyone. There was also a DISCLAIMER on the website stating this is only a provisional distribution method and is subject to change or cancellation at any point.

Hi guys.
Byteball's wallet is looks ready to go for larger adaption.
When will the next distribution to bytebal holders exactly happen? Full moon of march? I had some bytes in my wallet.

No free distribution any more, bro.

You need read the new rules.

There was supposed to be a distribution on 1st of March.. what happened ?

Every other post is the same question. Spend 5 minutes reading back it may help

Here's an idea, make a new moderated thread and whoever says a word about the airdrop just simply delete their comment. I'm fucking sick and tired of reading through pages of pure welfare whining, it's disgusting. The same goes for those who cry that tonych still holds a big portion, you people act like you give a fuck and then buy ripple, dash and all the other shit that is heavily in the hands of developers and they are not even thinking about distributing it, that's their until they dump and that's it, still you people praise those.... I've been reading this forum less and less but every time I read it, the hatred just grows. It seems that all this crypto space is just a cesspool of parasites and beggars for food stamps. Seriously, you can't find information at all here without wasting hours (even after missing just 1-2 weeks) since it's all whining. Sell and GTFO already, really, you won't help yourself with all your whining, nothing will change, you guys state a million times that tonych doesn't listen to the "community" (sick twist on the word parasite), well why the fuck you think he will read or care about your whining now ? Put up your sell orders or dump directly but stop spamming this thread or slack with useless crying.

Here Here

Don't have merits to give unfortunately.

On a different note i think the Sports Betting bot should maybe look into adding more games (although all the ones I'm interested in are covered)

Tony's main problem is he is a genius coder and designer but is also probably an idealist

He must realize that the dominant position in the coins circulation race    is  not necessarily about who has the best tech, but  rather who has the most efficient strategy for implementation.

That is the biggest load of .... i've heard. Strategy for implementation is just words on a paper and they mean all of 0.  Its exactly for this kind of mentality people have fears about crypto / alt markets being unsustainable in the long run. 'Investors' expecting to make free money out of projects who have nothing behind them but 'efficient strategy for implementation'. Okay lets agree we all made good money out of crypto last couple of years but do you really see projects being worth in the billions with nothing but strategy and good marketing? Be serious people! Someone needs to take you down a peg or two.

IMO this is a great project and I'm all for it trying to break the mould not falling into the same trap so many other projects have.

Carry on doing what you're doing Tony. Rome wasn't build in a day.

When the dumping began back in the summer, a lot of people screamed to stop the airdrop, allocate it entirely to the dev and marketing fund or even burn the airdrop funds, now that it stops people are crying. Business as usual I guess. I'm happy tonych stopped the airdrop, it did not do any good for Byteball in the past 6months, lock it for long term dev/marketing/bounty fund, that will do much more good for the long term.

Absolutely, it winds me up that everyone expects to get something for nothing. Stop being so greedy as most of those who are crying about the airdrop would just dump it straight away, bringing NO ADDITIONAL VALUE to the project. I'm all for trying to identify different avenues to increase the usability and appeal to a wider user range which will be beneficial to all in the future.

People need to stop expecting results overnight - we're in it for the long term boys

Quick question. I've been using ByteBall for a while now and all my payments take over 10minutes to process. I know someone mentioned that this will improve once more transactions are made but for the time being & newbies like myself using the app this isn't ideal.

Can anything be done to improve this? (transferring to blackbytes and luckybytes bots)
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 15, 2018, 02:20:20 PM
Hi All,

Newbie on Forum = YES!
Crypto < 6 months Byteball < 2 months.

Wanted to post that since stumbling across ByteBall I have fallen for it, spread the word to my friends & family by donating some bytes and managed to get a few of them on board while a few others need more time Smiley We get involved sending money to eachother, chatting and using the bots.

I had a few questions in regards to the project. I work as a securities trader and the CFD trading bot has really caught my eye. ( yes i know how much all of you hate banks/corporations but it all needs to start somewhere).
My questions were:
are we expecting to see more cryptos to trade CFDs vs BB?
are we likely to see a CFD platform on financial products / indices / commodities  vs BB or fiat and the payout would be in BB?

Also, for my betting if the specific bet is on Bettingbot i will certainly go through there otherwise just use my own betting site.
What is the capacity here in growing out the markets for each betting event (Over x goals, under x points)? I know there's a way to make the contract yourself ( Haven't had the time to explore this due to my time constraint) but adding this to the BettingBot would be super cool  Grin

I understand with the amount of work ongoing and all the avenues being explored this isn't on the priority list but just a thought.

Overall, love the project.

Peace

You will enjoy https://binaryballs.com/ (Binary Options Trading with Byteball Bytes) too

Love it! Let's see if we can get in the best rush for next month

Hi All,

I'm the dev and operator of these 2 chatbots, I'm glad you like them !

Currently the CFD-trading bot takes coverage by selling/buying on Bittrex with my own holdings, as you can guess I don't hold much cryptos thus the choice is limited. In the future, we can imagine a lending market but for now I prefer to be responsible only for my own money.
I thought about introducing stock indices but the problem is that the financial coverage would need a conversion to fiat which would trigger a fiscal event for me (and I live in a fiscal evil...).

About the betting-bot I want to keep them as simple as possible for now, I don't want to confuse players with kinds of bets that are not common in their country.

I love the idea for the CFD-trading and appreciate the effort. I was wondering how sustainable this is in terms of trading costs for yourself? How scalable is this? I assume if more people start using the funds you may in theory use up your funds held on the exchange (never know may hold a silly amount) and no additional contract would be taken out.

Hi guys, just a quick one. Is it still possible to obtain these coins or have i missed the boat until it gets listed on an exchange? I like the sound of this
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: January 10, 2018, 04:28:20 PM
Just checked the price now, almost $800/GB, i never knew it was this highly priced.

yeah, that is the thing about Byteball! it has always been among the high price cryptocurrencies. if i am not mistaken it has always been in at least top 10!

but since it doesn't have ridiculous amount of supply like ETH, XRP, IOTA,... it does not have a high market cap so it stays under the radar most of the times.

Sad that unit price is the only thing people take into consideration when making these decisions
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next x10 coins for 2018 on: January 09, 2018, 02:20:08 PM
Of the first 100 coins unable to allocate SYS very strong project. Many things had been done in 2017. He and 10 per cent in 2017 have not shown their potential. Many say that until the summer it might cost $ 20. Keep a look at least a year

I agree SYSCOIN is a good bet and have personally invested funds in it. Existing product and good potential.

Have a little research of ByteBall guys see what you think. (obviously i have invested) just seems to be one of the real projects with an actual working product and a dev who focuses on production/evolution rather than marketing for short term results.

This is not investment advice by any means but if you have time have a read about it and see what you personally think. DONT invest just because the same coin gets mentioned over and over DO your own research and look for real world adaptation and not just fairy tales.

Could you possibly apply to list on Binance? https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000822512-Listing-a-Coin-on-Binance-com
They only accept applications from developers of a coin

I would have to agree. Not sure how much work this entails and the time period it would take but i don't see anything wrong with seeing additional liquidity and more brand awareness in the community unless I'm missing something?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY is a preference to dag-technology, like a BYTEBALL or IOTA? on: January 09, 2018, 10:35:06 AM
What other DAG technology coins would you recommend and why?

Looks like this could be the way forward.

Heard of some issues with RailBlocks (don't quote me on this) so just wanted to know if im missing any projects which i should be investigating.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [GBYTE] Byteball Speculation on: January 08, 2018, 04:34:27 PM
i think early next year we might see a real alt run if bitcoin decides it's had enough for now. it'll be very interesting to see what byteball gets up to in that scenario. it's the type of thing waiting to be discovered by enough people. i only wish they'd sort out the unit bias thing and list it as mbyte instead. this is really holding it back because people are so stupid they can't see past it.

I agree.. Just see this as an opportunity to acquire more. They will come Smiley

It's all about those long term gains.

Hey, guys!

Loving this thread, actually registered just so i can join here, after 7 months of reading a lot of nonsense in other threads.

So, with only 7 months under my belt I feel far from confident enough to make a solid analysis, and would therefore like to ask if any of you have looked into XSPEC and DNA? To me they both seem to need a lot more development, but have a pretty clear goal.

Hi All, Likewise here. I'm relatively new to Crypto and have been reading through the threads / doing my own research for last 9 months or so. Finally after much nonsence/promotion/ etc I decided to register in particular for this thread as we need more initiatives like this one to discuss useful projects in detail instead of promoting your own coin with no reasoning behind it.

Obviously I'm not allowed to vote but would personally go for ByteBall (yes i have an interest in it already). Think its great what the team are doing and definitely see a bright future.

Also wanted to thank CryptoHunter and others involved for collating useful information which is a great starting point for self research.

Keep it up!
