There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The Best Investment in 2018? Byteball

2017 was an excellent year for many crypto enthusiasts and investors. Few of us expected this period to be so successful, especially since it was clear from the beginning of the year that we would see the first hard fork of bitcoin, accompanied by a great deal of uncertainty.

With a little exaggeration, it could be said that it did not matter which currency investors invested their money in. Total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies increased approximately 35-fold. Hundreds of new projects came out, some of which contain new technology that could be a competitor to classic blockchain technology in the future.

i think early next year we might see a real alt run if bitcoin decides it's had enough for now. it'll be very interesting to see what byteball gets up to in that scenario. it's the type of thing waiting to be discovered by enough people. i only wish they'd sort out the unit bias thing and list it as mbyte instead. this is really holding it back because people are so stupid they can't see past it.

I agree.. Just see this as an opportunity to acquire more. They will come Smiley

It's all about those long term gains.

Hope you're right, my friend. I don't have an entire Gbyte, but I'd love for it to moon all the same, especially as with 2 more distributions, I would gain almost 1 entire GBYTE (assuming it continues to distribute 0.1 for every holding already linked. I didn't sell when it reached almost $1k and I'm very glad I didn't, even when it fell all the way to $200. This is indeed one of the best DAG coins around with steady and patient development.

Byteball for 2018? With all the new merchants coming on, I don't see why not.

They are expecting to continue in March 2nd, with the same rule as they was in November, but this can be canceled if things doesn't go well and depending on their performance of distributing.

Just checked the price now, almost $800/GB, i never knew it was this highly priced.

It was also before the same price of $800 and I remember when the price hit almost $1000, but then after few months it went to $100s which was really a disappointing situation and a panic selling as almost -90% was the change within a short period of time.

Byteball is really a good coin which a huge potential but we don't see any marketing from their side, and they are only listed in bittrex which is having lots of issues with the support and their users are claiming that their accounts are getting disabled or closed without any valid reason.

It is not. There are only 645,222 GB in circulation. It is in fact very cheap right now.

yeah, that is the thing about Byteball! it has always been among the high price cryptocurrencies. if i am not mistaken it has always been in at least top 10!

but since it doesn't have ridiculous amount of supply like ETH, XRP, IOTA,... it does not have a high market cap so it stays under the radar most of the times.

Sad that unit price is the only thing people take into consideration when making these decisions

Maybe GBYTE finally gets the attention it deserves. Patience and hard work always pay off. Cool

yeah but nobody fucking buys expensive coins, it is all about price!!!!!

This coin is brilliant but in order to succeed,

listing on coinmarketcap must be in MBYTE or KBYTE

https://www.coindesk.com/weathering-altcoin-shitstorm-investing-next-one/

"It seems ridiculous to say, but the cheaper the asset, the greater the chance of a return. And when I said cheap, I'm not referring to a fundamental measure of value like a value investor would (P/BV, P/E, etc). I'm referring to its price.

A chart of returns over the past seven days paints this picture. There's a direct negative correlation between the price of the token and return. It's scary, but it's unfortunately true."

"Investors trying to find fundamental value are ripping their eyes out. XRP, with legitimately zero fundamental usage (see below), just passed BTC in diluted market cap."

Truth is the new hatespeech.

On the long run, it will get the attention. The tech is better than most of the coins out there including Bitcoin. Since cryptos are more and more going to be a storage of value, Byteball will play its role. Before it should be a little bit more professionalized. A roadmap, new additional developers and a good marketing plan is needed to bring the project forward.

Using Gbyte has been a revelation to me. Didn't know crypto could be so mobile and social. Definitely the future here

tonych has already shot this idea down so it's staying as it is.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/7og0x6/update_from_tony_on_5_january_2018_regarding_the/

he's completely wrong about this as the doge and ripple pumps have amply proven, but it's his project and that's that.

is unit bias dumb? yep. it's also a fact.

ECB,

yeah it is dumb but at first glance but then it isn't. You see if you are young or don't have  a lot of money you aren't buying a BTC or a GBYTE for xxxxx$. You buy Cardano, Iota or XRP. These are scam/testnet tokens but they are cheap. And then prices go up 100 times and the kids laugh about the "btc dinosaurs".

Who is stupid then, the guy who made 10x or the kid who made 100x return?

What Tonych does not seem to understand that YES the underlying unit is BYTE. But the LISTING is what counts.

Bitcoin cannot list satoshis or bits (it would change the brand name) but in the case of Byteball, brand name = Byteball, LISTING can be changed!!

What is wrong with this guy, does he not want to have 100x todays market cap?

Truth is the new hatespeech.
