161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN : Oppotunity Or Challenge? on: March 04, 2018, 01:51:37 AM
Bitcoin is no doubt risky investment, but it depends on people, bitcoin is opportunity to some and challenge to some. I think you should not borrow money to buy bitcoin.

Bitcoin is both an opportunity and challenge. There are a lot of jobs in bitcoin if you are industrious enough. Opportunities to be financilly stable the investment and trading system. The challenge is for you to understand how it works and how to have a big profit in it.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: March 03, 2018, 12:38:19 PM
why so many people store their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time, whether the benefits will they get?

Come share your thoughts

some people are saving their bitcoin for a long time because they want it to grow more. i am also very positive that bitcoin will go as high as it is today. if i have the capacity i will also be saving my bitcoin. but as of today i am in need financially for the family budget. my bitcoin saving is just little.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: March 03, 2018, 11:22:26 AM
Bitcoin right now keeps on increasing its value, and many more cryptocurrencies are occurring.
Do you think someday bitcoin will end or will be replace by other cryptocurrencies?

Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance that bitcoin will be down?

it is hard to tell but right now as i can see that bitcoin is getting more valuable. It helps a lot of people financially. it is the means of payment in some areas. it can provide jobs in many people and there are a lot of people are into it.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your Bitcoin at $100,000 or what? on: March 01, 2018, 01:36:27 PM
If it's strong enough to get to 100K, I'll likely keep HODLing. I don't have a "number" to cash out at, it will more likely be determined by life events and me being able to use the money I've gained in a better way.

Yes i will sell my bitcoin. That is a lot of money on our country. It can buy us a house and lot, pay the school fee of my 3 children and it can even start a small business. I will also save some of it for an emergency fund.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Positive thinking brings positive things. on: March 01, 2018, 09:56:50 AM
Forums are being filled with speculation, almost all topics that appear lead to falling bitcoin prices, whether this will continue, this is the right time to buy, blah blah blah. Come on, the storm must pass, let us focus on the positive topics instead of continuing to discuss this 50% decline. Start talking about the positive news from Singapore deputy, bitcoin that has gone up 20% today and others. Think positive and positive things will come.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold out or sell Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2018, 07:26:55 AM
With the price starting to creep up again do you think it's a good time to start selling some of my investments or do you think it's worth holding on for a while longer?

We all know how temperamental the market can be but do you think this is just a short term spike?

Holding is good while the market is low. But when the market will go up you make a decision. Yes it is worth the wait because the market is getting higher as i can see it is worth the wait.
167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: tips for begginers on: March 01, 2018, 05:06:42 AM
any advice for beginner trader ? what exchange to use and worth trust ? what coins to consider trading in ? what strategies to use ?

For beginners my advise is to equip yourself first with information about bitcoin what its origin, how does it works, what are the benefits, what are the do's and don'ts, as a trader the right time to buy is when the value is low. There are a lot of information on bitcointalk, experience in facebook and google.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm gonna sell my house on: March 01, 2018, 04:00:31 AM
I am sure we touched the bottom today. so i am going to real Estate Dealer for selling my house and buy bitcoin. I suggest you all do that

I would not do that for now. Selling my house to invest, its a no no for me because it is too risky. I would rather have other options for capital to be use in the investments.
169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do You Have Any Fear Bitcoin Might Crash Someday. on: March 01, 2018, 02:40:25 AM
Looking at the rapid growth the Croptocurrency world is experiencing right now, with new and promising Tokens (ONL, ATFS, BERRY etc) being introduced on regarly basis. I actually have a strong confidence that cryptocurrencies would get worldwide acceptance in the nearest future, and with Bitcoins topping the charts of all existing Bitcoins right now, Bitcoins stands to benefit from the newborn cryptos emerging. So if you ask me, I think it is quite impossible for Bitcoin to CRASH.

Just a small percentage that bitcoin will crash.  Right now bitcoin price are increasing. People are getting good profits in  it. Everyones eagerness and determination are driving crazy. This is what bitcoin more valuable right now.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: March 01, 2018, 12:44:44 AM
My biggest regret is when I got introduced to this back in 2012, I tried to buy £200 worth, the platform was down and I never bothered, just recently woke up to it again at over £4k per coin, it is a physiological thing where I don't want to buy at that price.

The biggest regret about bitcoin is that when i did not listen when my collegues inform the idea about it. I thought it is a fraud or a sort of scam. I never listen until there profit grow and they had already enjoyed it. But anyway i am learning and was able to cope.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading is gambling after all on: February 28, 2018, 09:36:28 PM
Well, sort of, at least for the majority of ordinary and wannabe traders. It is relatively easy to earn money on a rising market but it becomes a completely different matter when a sideways market sets in like it is now in the cryptoverse. There are two major factors that turn trading into gambling for most players in this type of market which are presented below.

First, in any financial or speculative market, where Bitcoin rightfully belongs to, you can earn only if you take money from someone else. It could appear as if everyone earns with the rising price but things reveal their true nature when the price stops rising. It is kind of obvious but accepting this is necessary to understand why you can be the one losing the game in the end.

Second, some market participants have an unrestricted edge over the rest of the pack which means that under no circumstances they will be losing. These are arbitrageurs, insiders, exchanges and their likes. For example, it is impossible to beat exchange since it is 100% sure money for them when they can front run your orders and do a lot of other nasty things which you can't.

Given these two circumstances, it is easy to see that if you do not belong to the group of market participants mentioned above, trading pretty quickly turns into gambling for you. So your only chance to win is pure luck. But luck is not a friend of consistency, therefore the only consistency you can reliably expect is losing to someone who has an undisputed edge over you and the market.

Feel free to comment and post your thoughts and ideas here.

Yes trading is also gambling but at least with a small risk. Gambling is a game that if you lose you lose all that you have gambled. But in trading it is a buying and selling formula in which you can get more profit when the value will soar high but if not you can at least get a little profit and the invested money is still intact or at least a little bit lesser.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money do you have left from your job? on: February 28, 2018, 12:03:30 PM
i got $300/month so it is $3600/year
I am still ok with that salary, i can still live in this country
Everyday still have food

If you are grateful what are you get, all will feel good

Speaking of salary oh my.. P15.0k/month. The take home pay is very little. The budget is very tight just to make ends meet.
Sometimes 30% of it are being paid to loans for the childrens school fees.  That is why i want another source of income like bitcoin. At least the health of ths family will not be compromise.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: February 28, 2018, 03:58:23 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
If you a legitimate way on how to invest your money then go for it. Don't save it on bank because the interest rate of most banks are too low that your money is not earning. Study cryptocurrency and invest some of your money on it.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin affects students' performance in school on: February 27, 2018, 10:17:03 PM
As far as I can observe being a teacher, I am definitely happy that my students are involve in cryptocurrencies and they earn for themselves and help their families. But, their school perfomance is getting worse. Please give your thoughts how will you help students to earn and at the same time it won't affect their school works?

Bitcoin is a source of driving force to student and also a little bit of destruction to there studies. This is also a challenge to students determination at school. A student should understand that education should be the 1st priority and bitcoin is here to financially support that education goal. It should be this way.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now - should or not? on: February 27, 2018, 09:34:17 PM
yes,I think this is the perfect time to invest bitcoin.because if I  invest bitcoin this time, after then I think very soon it will grow up.if buy low rate of bitcoin, near future it grow.so I will say this is perfact period to invest

I will invest in bitcoin now while it is booming.  I can see a big future in botcoin but do not invest your whole fortune. Just the money that you can afford to loose. Be vigilant also in investing. Read and equiped yourself with information, do research and be aware of the market value so that your money will grow.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: February 27, 2018, 08:16:47 AM
why is it ok for a group of people calling themselves the government to force everyone to buy their services?
if enough armed people refused to pay and told the government to go fuck itself there is nothing they could do.

It is our obligations as a citizen to pay taxes in our country. The government needed the money for new infrastracture, free and free or low cost education and health and wellness of the people especially  in a developing country. Unfortunately it is very disappointing to know that these taxes are corrupted by politicians and only a small part are being benefited by the poor.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Is your bitcoin earnings enough for you to start a business? on: February 26, 2018, 09:24:48 PM

178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: February 25, 2018, 12:41:51 AM
Go guys!
In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consider gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?
Let others know!
It is your life and you chose to gamble. As long as it is not illegal, i think it is ok and don't be ashamed that you gamble. Yes, there are countries that gambling is not a norm in the society but we are on a new generation now and everything is liberal.
179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to increase your merit ? on: February 22, 2018, 08:29:28 AM
Hi guys,
I wonder how can i increase my merit ?
Thank you so much
Nowadays it is very hard for us to rank-up because of this merit requirement. You can get merit if your post deserves one. Post that informative and useful in this forum are the ones being merited, so try your best to post with that quality and i, myself will try my best also. Wink
180  Other / Meta / Re: Giving merits to an OLD post or thread is legal or illegal? on: February 21, 2018, 01:10:35 PM
Hello everyone,

giving merits to an old post or thread is legal or illegal?

That means this merit system arrives recently but some people are giving merits to there alt accounts which they created a thread before this merits system exists.

I want a legit answer.

as soon as I get the answer I will lock this thread

thank you.
Though i don't have merit to give because i am a newbie here i could say that it would be the decision of the merit source on where to give his merit. If it is legal or not to give merits on an old post, i think it is not illegal because we don't have rule that says old post can't be given merit. The only general rule says that merit should be given to High Quality post. But what are the attributes of a high quality post and who determine HQ? That we don't know.
But definitely it is legal to give merit to old post. That is my understanding and i am 100 percent sure of that.

The next question could be "Is it immoral to give merits to old post? Smiley
