121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Augur competitor ...Gnosis on: August 19, 2016, 05:55:36 PM
Thanks for the interest!

We have taken an opposite route, focusing on development rather than marketing. We are releasing our second beta software in the coming days: http://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-prediction-market-service-takes-first-steps-beta-launch/

We have a Bitcointalk thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1529098 and invite anyone to join our slack at slack.gnosis.pm

Imo building a project on eth is twice the risk. Eth doesn't seem to value decentralisation. And If eth fails, project build on eth fail. Just my 2 cents.

Augur is done. Tiny can't handle criticism, and can't deliver. Pitty for Joey, I think he had the best intentions but teamed up with a bunch of underachievers.

Doing a second crowdsale after the actual coin (AMP) is already on the exchange?  Huh

We already know Intel/Telaviv is on board but Samsung too?  Shocked   this is awesome!

Feel free to deny it, the smoke is spreading around.

It really is enormous the size of the potential userbase.

Yes antshare messaged me with the code, so thanks for that LitcoinCollector you done wonderful work there.

Thanks,
perhaps you can paste the link to link to the Antshares rICO page in the OP, so potential users can get more info about the project.

128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: (Beta Testers Wanted) Sensus: Mobile Incentivized Q&A and Prediction Market on: August 17, 2016, 07:32:04 PM
Looks interesting, will follow this. Is this similar to Augur?

Perhaps you should rethink the yellow/ green colorsceme. Yellow is a bit hard to read on the website.
I like the logo of the owl, but maybe use another font. I am a professional graphic designer and can 'upgrade' the design.
Thanks

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: August 17, 2016, 11:36:18 AM
According to the last technical meeting we are moving away from the fact that it becomes available with 0.4.0, because we are now using a semantic versioning scheme. (http://semver.org)

Soon there will be a milestone which will work as an activator for community delegates. That means at the end of the day nothing changes, but the numbers might be a bit higher, because we "have to" follow the semantic versioning rules.

Thanks, I think more delegates (= more decentralisation / more security) is a good thing. I also think it is good you are re-evaluating the innitial approach, which ofcourse takes time. I am running a testnode + mainnode from the beginning. It is a great way to get a grasp on how thing work.

If people are thinking about supporting the network and perhaps be a delegate now is your chance, since numbers will likely be increased.  Smiley
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 16, 2016, 06:04:15 PM
I have been inspired by Iota from day 1 and even more as it progresses.
It's just such a revolutionary technology.
We as a community must make the Big Deal Happen.
Or do we want to miss out on the crypto project of the decade?

(I want to donate 5%, ( I have donated 5% on the foundation as well) but I also have trouble sending Iota, how can we make the 100% on the Big Deal asap?)

is the website not available for non-chinese language ? im confuse , yesterday i can open the website in
English version, but right now i need a google translate to understand the website, or it just been upgrading now.

Right above last word > English.

One of the big advantages imo is the potential user base of Antshares. It could be enormous! being based and developped in China.

Nice to see my design is used for hero signature!  Smiley

135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: August 15, 2016, 10:59:42 AM
WARNING: Admiral_Bit is a scammer

Check his "trust" rating

Come from Beyond is a russian spy who sucks you out of your BTC and forwards them directly to Vladimir Putin. Most of the IOTA ICO funds were used to support the organized russian doping mafia.

Most of the Russian olympic athletes are using illegal substances which were bought via IOTA OTC coins.

We want clean sport and no doping coins.

IOTA = INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC TERROR AGENCY

Admiral is realy loosing his grasp on reality bit by bit.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Antshares-Digital Asssets for Everyone,Starts 8.8, 1st refundable ICO on: August 15, 2016, 09:36:00 AM
I'll tell you guys a secret!
If you click three times quickly at the word "ICO" you will find the current ANS price based on the BTC raised! Like this:

The current price is still low! (current is about 0.62 RMB/ANS, the expectation is about 1.5-2RMB/ANS) You still have the option to open your position at low cost!

Cool, but I had to double click on Mac.  Smiley

“Certainty Bookkeeping w/o forks” means you know a transaction is valid as soon as there is one confirmation, as opposite to bitcoin's 6 confirmation. "Confirmed" is a probability expression under bitcoin, any transaction can be removed from the blockchain as long as there is a alternative history with more hashing power.

Joint mode means every block is validated by multiple parties, unlike a single node as in PoW/PoS/DPoS. You are right, joint mode enables finality with one confirmation.

"it requires nodes to authenticate themselves to achieve a weak trust from other nodes", authenticate here means approving it's own identity. Revealing one's real identity is a more economical way to get "trust" comparing to demonstrate(waste) hashing power. Although PoW is more suitable if anti-censorship is the prioritized design goal.

So Joint Mode is something different than PoW/PoS/DPoS. Very interesting. Can you explain a bit how this works?
Thanks
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Foundation was basically caught trading stolen coins in exchanges on: August 12, 2016, 05:45:04 PM
Ethereum is ran like a third world country.  Corruption / theft / embezzlement is rife in Ethereum, nobody seems to care enough to protest or to withdraw, and the comedy gold / popcorn munching continues unabated.  Grin

Yeah, that's what strikes me the most, nobody cares, judged by the exchange rates.
Too much money involved I guess...
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: August 12, 2016, 03:38:49 PM
Is that about the going rate? 1 Gi = .02 BTC/US$12, so 100 Gi = $1200

I think it's a bit expensive, but everyone has to do his own choice. Maybe the better working new GUI makes it a bit more expensive than I paid the last weeks.

Not to mention when the Big Deal happens!
Let's push this guys, I am not a big holder but I will donate 5%.

David and the Iota team promised an exeptional, cutting edge project, and delivered.
Let's hold momentum and get Asia on board!
