1  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: July 17, 2017, 06:55:45 AM
Nobody will guarantee about the BTC value as it depends on the influence factors, like current market tradings and usage of Bitcoin. My opinion is there is possible to increase. All you know, there is a big discussion about the bitcoin price in now a days, that is the bitcoin will have a drastic market change in the coming months. Don't worry, just wait for 13 days to see the real situation.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy before aug 1 or after? on: July 17, 2017, 06:37:57 AM
It's up to you. Somebody suggested that there will be a huge change in the bitcoin market value in the month of August. Apart from this, somebody saying that it is only the mouth publication, there is no such kind of variation in the bitcoin price. No guarantee about the information spreading in the market. My best suggestion is to wait for August 1 if either Bitcoin will have a positive or negative market.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: July 16, 2017, 11:17:26 AM
If Bitcoin is mainly used as a currency to pay for goods and services, it will compete with fiat currency such as the US dollar and thus influence its value and ultimately monetary policy. If, on the other hand, it will mainly be used as an investment, it will compete with other assets such as government bonds, stocks and commodities among others and potentially influence the financial system and financial stability. Whether it is currency or an asset, the potential to influence the economy as a whole depends on the success of Bitcoin or similar alternatives compared to existing currencies and financial assets.

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How hard is it to make payments Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2017, 11:07:00 AM
Bitcoin is new payment method in the online market,we can buy things with bitcoins easily.some online sites also accepting the bitcoins for transaction payments.it is easy payment method between merchants and customers.but sometimes it is hard because bitcoin price is very high.
Bitcoin was initially conceived as a way for people to exchange money anonymously. But then it was discovered that anyone could track all Bitcoin transactions and often identify the parties involved.
Bitcoin operates by giving each user a unique public key, which is a string of numbers. Users can transmit money in the form of digital bitcoins from one public key to another. This is made possible by a system that ensures a user has enough bitcoins in his or her account to make the transfer. The use of the public keys gave users a sense of anonymity, even though all of the transactions were visible on the public Bitcoin blockchain which lists all transactions. O
so it is very safe no hard at all.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 09, 2017, 07:27:21 AM

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt Monetary System launched: Now on Nxt Testnet! on: December 18, 2014, 10:07:40 PM
Why not just use NXT itself?  What utility will this feature provide?

Different properties than NXTs.
Different use-cases than NXTs.
Diversification.

Ah yes, and brings a bit of sidechain flair to Nxt. Wink

glad Im not the only one who saw that.  and with the way BTC seems to be foundering on the subject, my guess is MS will come out long before sidechains do

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETHEREUM] What are its benefits? on: June 23, 2014, 06:00:57 PM
from what i understand, NXT's AT is being built on top of the NXT protocol, into the core, and what I understand about etherium, is that turing complete IS the core, so very ambitious it sounds like to me.

at least i think.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post on: June 17, 2014, 09:15:38 PM
1 million NXT was worth about 130 BTC. This is the amount the scammer used to lure people into his trap. This is why he keeps insisting that 200 BTC was stolen not 79. I think it’s time for TXTCoin to call the police, he may get his BTC back.

very interesting coincidence...
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin not decentralized anymore? on: June 16, 2014, 07:04:14 PM
The question should be:  is bitcoin decentralized enough?  The fact is when a new block is mined, that miner or pool has  limited control over what transactions get included in that block and subsequent blocks they mine.  Once another miner or pool mines another block, then the previous miner no longer has that limited control.  Also, once a block is mined, it is up to the rest of the network to agree to that broadcast block as the longest chain.  If other nodes on the network find a major problem with a block, then they will likely not accept that as the longest chain.  According to this site:  https://getaddr.bitnodes.io, bitcoin has 7859 nodes in 99 countries.  Nearly all have to agree on the longest chain.  I would call that decentralized enough.

tldr; Each new block mined is subject to limited attack by the miner who mined it and subsequent blocks that same miner is able to mine.  However, with 7859 nodes in 99 countries, most of whom have to agree on the longest chain, bitcoin is decentralized enough.

just because its distributed doesnt mean that it is also decentralized.  I still cant figure out what took GH so long to back things off.  Why did they not start backing down once they reached 45%

Update on the NXTCrypto.org leasing pool.  See https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=1020.0 for more info...

I will probably migrating everything to a new virtual web host called pool.nxtcrypto.org but for now its all on vps3.nxtcrypto.org

I have 2 pages ready now.  Note the data is hyperlinked to the block explorer.

http://vps3.nxtcrypto.org/status.php which gives most latest block and leasor balances as of that block.  There are a few leases that are about to mature and begin participating in maybe 3 or 4 hours.  There is just 1 account there now, the pool forging account, so in the next few hours this list will begin populating

http://vps3.nxtcrypto.org/earnings.php will give a table of all leasors' earnings based by forged block.  So this is where 100% transparency comes into play.  Its empty now due to the pool not having forged any blocks but hopefully that will change soon!  Its just a flat table now but soon I will add a form for you to select a block or a leasor to just view those particular facts.

Both of those pages are available on vps2.nxtcrypto.org as well, so you can see better how things will work.  It is on my private testnet, but keep in mind that the accounts/blocks reported on the testnet wont give valid data on the block explorer.
