681  Economy / Economics / Re: We need a economic revolution right now . on: April 06, 2020, 07:12:30 AM
With the current events taking place the economy is going down the toilet for the next year or two. It's really odd to live in a time when you don't have any idea how life will look a year after. One thing is certain -- the power of governments and fiat money economy will weaken. But what will come to replace it, is what we should prepare for.
682  Economy / Gambling / Re: pokerhost.co - run custom no download poker tournaments and cash game on: April 06, 2020, 07:02:33 AM
Nice website!

A bit of UI improvements will be nice down the way. Personally I was surprised to see a wall of text on the main page.

Are you using your own code for poker lobbies?
683  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: April 03, 2020, 12:07:57 PM
Flat out bad advice to not buy a face mask.

I strongly agree. People shouldn't be embarrassed wearing a mask, and they shouldn't simply "take their chances" with their and other peoples lives. Even if their country situation is currently not severe, preventive measures can save lives and give an example to other people.

If you are still able to buy masks -- stock on 3 - 5 of them, and dry them in a warm place for 3 full days after each use. Using a UV light source for sterilization of the masks is very effective, but you should make sure that your mask filters can be treated with UV, since some of them deteriorate on UV.

Please wear a mask, ignore any weird looks if you're wearing respirator. With mask you increase your chances of not being infected, and believe you Don't want to get infected. If you do - you simply don't have enough information about the threats that this virus presents to population of our beloved Earth.

685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 10 Best Crypto Exchanges - Which one do you use the most? on: April 03, 2020, 11:05:10 AM
My favourite exchanges are Binance, Kucoin, and okex.
I used to use a lot of decentralized ones like idex when I was trading ETH a lot.
686  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHO declared corona outbreak as Pandemic! on: April 03, 2020, 11:04:18 AM
Get into checking WHO out. Not all their members agree that Coronavirus should be called a pandemic. There is a lot of evidence that CV is mostly fear and hype.

Cool

Really? Someone still thinks it's just hype and fake news? You guys should take it seriously...

688  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: April 01, 2020, 11:52:09 AM
What about the recovered patients?

I heard recovered cases have weakened immunity, lung damage and even weakened reproductive system.

692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about Arbitrage trading... on: March 31, 2020, 07:34:16 AM
For most of the people it's a gambling game with unset rules where anything can happen for better or worse.
Very few people succeed on trading, and they plan each move wisely. The downside of it is that they sleep and awake thinking about graphs.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: What China is hiding from us and are they doing it to save their economy? on: March 31, 2020, 07:21:18 AM
Service, hotel, restaurants, cafe, travel business is now on a brink of extinction. I'm thinking China takes time to pull out the stocks at good prices.
694  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has anyone tried this coronavirus app? on: March 31, 2020, 07:08:30 AM
Well, it's just a survey. It can be made in a text format, where you can just check if you have the symptoms or not.
Looking at corona patients it looks like you will surely notice if you have it or not. Be healthy!

697  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Three Ways the Coronavirus Market Correction Could Play Out on: March 30, 2020, 10:29:58 AM
It is no secret that the outbreak of Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on the world and its economy. The stock market has taken and continues to take a massive hit, and we are only just beginning to see just how bad things are going to get.

While things may be bad now, there is a light at the end of every tunnel. Eventually, the pandemic will simmer down, and the markets will begin to recover. Here are three ways this could play out: https://itsblockchain.com/coronavirus-market/

Which way do you think it will go?

If the covid19 crashes the economy (and from here it looks like a possible scenario) then the crypto and specifically BTC will become the new every day money. Perhaps people will use something faster like XRP as an option.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: March 30, 2020, 10:11:56 AM
Personally I'm prune to believe that gambling websites that take investments are a scam in many cases.
Of course, there should be some reputable projects that practice this scheme, but you have to be careful where you put your money.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk has been blocked in Russia because of Gambling advertisement on: March 30, 2020, 10:10:36 AM
Actually kinda surprised that didn't happened earlier.
Don't think it's a big issue, since any VPN can be used to bypass this block.
700  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: March 30, 2020, 08:13:28 AM
Well, having a N95 on your face will surely increase your chances of not getting infected.

Personally I wear a respirator and have some additional gear ready for when the epidemic gets out of hand.

If you're under 35 you can still die from corona, or get some complications including permanent lung damage.

We still know very little about long-term effect of having being infected with COVID so using any protection possible is the way to go now.
