241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin price be $20000 next year? on: December 30, 2019, 06:51:53 PM
Am not sure about it, but if we look back at Bitcoin's halving past, the price will always increase. But no one is really sure this halving will allow BTC to grow in the bear market, I hope Bitcoin's price will reach $10,000 and be stable in 2020 for a long time. I am not setting the target too high because the current market is very boring and the market is currently interested in too few investors. As long as the price goes up to $10,000 and I'm going to sell all the bitcoin I hold and wait for a better price to keep investing in it.

Mhhh I see a relation between the traditional stock market and cryptocurrencies. So maybe the smartmoney just went into stocks while we went down a bit. Stable price is some wishful thinking with a halving in May.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin could be 6000$ soon give us your opinion on: December 29, 2019, 03:07:32 PM
hello we all see a few movement Indicate that btc will go down to 6k is this  possible what would be your opinions
as you see now until now do you see prices below $ 6000, the price of bitcoin still looks good until now it's just that many people are not patient buying it cheap and selling it expensive, are you still trading at the end of this year?

Now it's too late the price of bitcoin has returned to $ 7300 now, if you buy bitcoin now it will likely rise again and it seems like the market is currently friendly so it is quite stable at prices above $ 7000 are you sure about that price?
Take advantage of situations like this positive thinking will again grow above $ 8,000.

The sideway channel ist pretty strong and yet every move up or down was rejected in a very short timeframe. So guess the low volatility seems to open the possibility for a strong move in the near future (maybe beginning of 2020?).
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin a Good Investment? Does Hodl Work? on: December 29, 2019, 03:01:57 PM
In this market, if you want to invest long term, Bitcoin is definitely the best choice. In the long term, it will certainly help investors make a profit, but it depends on their patience. Investing altcoins is a risky investment choice, because there are so many altcoin scams and they are useless altcoins.

Exactly, stay away from altcoins. You're just not diversifiying from the asset when investing in altcoins, you just put a rollercoaster on top of a rollercoaster.

Hodl strong guys.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin now Pump and Dump? on: December 29, 2019, 03:00:08 PM
I don't think about it that way.

Whales cannot just sell large amount of numbers or they could be left behind afterwards.
Bitcoin is now divided to many users. Look here in bitcointalk. Just how many bitcoin is flowing here and are also holding it.
It might be millions of bitcoin.
Yes there are whales who be buying and selling but that is high risk for them.
This is only possible if those whales are related to each other or have connections and talks whether they will buy and dump which is quite impossible, there are many factors to consider, there are many whales who have different outstanding and strategies. All just happen as it meant to happen not all because of whales.

I do not think Bitcoin is a pump and dump scheme, though I can say sometimes it is manipulated but not all the time.  And we all see that it may spike and drop in price but it never went worthless just like those pump and dump altcoins.  Aside from that, I also think bots are creating the market movement and since oftentimes bot have the same setup, they often move in unity thus creating a trade that looks like a  dump or pump of Bitcoin price in the market.

A pump and dump is something which dumps one time and never again. Based on that logic Bitcoin should ve been dumped to oblivion after the 30$ peak in 2011. As we know, that was not the end of the story. So no, Bitcoin is definitely not a PnD.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down... on: December 29, 2019, 02:58:35 PM
If we remember the past halving, the price doesn't crash at all... And i have a theory for this. Miners are the big bulls in the market and they decide the bitcoin price. After each halving, we will see an increment on the price because miners don't want to earn less. This is just my theory and not an absolute truth.

I don't believe that miners are setting the price. In the end it's a simple supply and demand question. The much more interesting topic will be, if the stock to flow chart will come true as expected.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is fooling around with btc Price? on: December 29, 2019, 02:56:44 PM
I don't know whether this is due to the effect of the futures market or the margin market that is paired on every bitcoin trade or using a contract, I don't understand why prices look like they are being played at this time, there is no certainty in the actual direction, I also want prices to really go back up above $ 10k because soon we will arrive in 2020, is it time to say go to the moon soon

Painful sideways is still painful I guess ? ^^ Expected much more fireworks from the current CME future contracts, yet nothing happens.
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is fooling around with btc Price? on: December 28, 2019, 04:48:08 PM
I believe that the cryptocurrency market is manipulated by people who hold a lot of bitcoins and a lot of money that we often call them sharks.
Sharks always use the information to hit the psychology of small investors. If they want prices to go up, they will find a way to produce good news and vice versa if they want prices to go down, they will find ways to create bad news.

I expect that the CME futures market is a key player for price setting.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin price be $20000 next year? on: December 28, 2019, 04:47:33 PM
I am an apprentice in the field of cryptocurrency.  The biggest problem I have now, is this good time to buy bitcoin? is this really good time to take Bitcoin? Undecided Undecided Need Help  Undecided

Dollar cost average ! Buy a specific amount of dollars per month but try to spread it accross several dips. Over all it's always a great time to buy after a 20% crash.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Rises to $20-$50k After Halving...Thoughts? on: December 28, 2019, 04:46:30 PM
The price won't go up that much, you know why it won't go up that much? Because if enough people think that way they would have bought bitcoin already, if anyone thinks that bitcoin will be 20-50 thousand dollars in 5 months (which is 2x to 7x increase) wouldn't they just purchase bitcoin already? They would have and that is why it won't go up since nobody believes it to go up that much currently.

If you think people will change their minds on the last second and start buying then maybe you might take a look into every single time people thought about price going up because of something and how it didn't, same happened with Bakkt as well. Long story short, nobody believes it to go up that much, there is no consideration for such a thing by the community, so it won't happen.

Not so much that nobody believes in those prices, I think plenty of actual longtermers do, but they're all patiently waiting for it. And for most, that's not even the end game, simply a milestone onwards to a next, higher, target. If there are maximalists who believe in 20 and 50k, you can be sure they have an eye on 100k, 200k, and perhaps even more, simply waiting for the right time.

You've to remember also, their patience is for a timeframe of 5-10 years, if not longer. Anything from now till then is just accumulation time. So enjoy the 4-digit price ranges while they last.

I expect 200k-300k. And then a normalization for the long-term. One big rally left.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price Selling on: December 28, 2019, 04:45:30 PM
I looked at the 1 week chart, and the 1 month chart, and I don't see a single recognizable pattern. It's not a flag, or a pennant, or a wedge. It's gnarly looking! The one week is forming a butt!

I know some people are saying head and shoulders but I don't really believe in those (jk, I just don't think they play out that often).

It wasn't until I zoomed out to about 6 months that I see something interesting...

It's gone down, sideways, up, sideways, down, sideways...

And if the last move to 6.6k was really putting in the double bottom... Then the next logical move should be a big up! This of course could come after more sideways action.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: LONGS on BITFINEX going PARABOLIC on: December 28, 2019, 04:43:44 PM
I just hope the price won't change much to the downside when the majority of these longs is closed.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: ASIAN CRYPTO FRIENDLY COUNTRIES on: December 26, 2019, 11:52:48 PM
PlusToken scammers were caught in Vanuatu. I also remember Vanuatu was selling their citizenship's in BTC few years ago. Could be the most crypto friendly country in the world not just in all Asia.

But it's out in nowhere lands with active vulcanos all around. Maybe settle for something more friendly ?
253  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming a safehaven currency in Argentina on: December 26, 2019, 11:41:21 PM
right, some countries use bitcoin to overcome hyperinflation in their countries. the chaos of their country's economy makes their fiat money worthless, so that people come to live in poverty, indeed Hong Kong is a country that still has many problems today, and it is possible to lead to crypto
The  main reason for the shift is the choice of the people, they might not have any other options in a hyperinflation and there is no point in a holding a currency where the base valuation keeps on going down and they need to either convert those to a currency that is impervious to the inflation and some have chosen bitcoin over that fiat currencies and that is the recurring theme in all the affected places for the past few years and it will continue to grow in the future.

Not just that, it is also the mindset that the available fiat paper currency is losing value year after year for decades. Either you move your money to Dollars or Gold, but now you have the choice with something better, Bitcoin.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion about HEX? on: December 26, 2019, 10:59:09 PM
I've heard that it's likely a scam. Read this tweet by this guy, he's telling that if you invested $130 then it's now around $3 with HEX.

https://twitter.com/CryptoScamHub/status/1208720751433584640

HEX ROI -92.64% with this kind of stat it's not worth investing in this kind of coin, this is one of the troubles with new coins, they failed to generate support and because of this, they slowly become a deadcoin, people should only look for old coins, some of these new coins are just a recycle of an old coins.
It's because the devs of it are dumping. They've just launched and they became a dead coin quickly. This what happens to scam coins because they don't have a vision for the coin itself. As we've told everybody here, it's likely a scam and its promises won't be delivered.
Just like, how can you trust those huge gains without doubting it? we have already a lot of the scam before and yet people don't learn from that.

What devs? It was written as a smart contract on a failing blockchain and it was never publicly announced how the transfer system works. I assume most of the Day-1 Ether came from friends who helped to hype the crap out of it, so it might gain some friction, which it fortunately did not.

There is no money more to be made, people are smarter than they were before. The big error was to never try to combine some real world application to it. It's just monopoly money where you have to pay to roll the dice.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HEX Stoops to Another Low, Desperately Tries to Pump Price on: December 26, 2019, 10:56:09 PM
With criticisms like this, there's no way HEX would get out of this mess. Making false promises and trying to lure more investors in to their scams, look at where they are now, a valueless shit. Just another typical shitcoin in the market.

It was an obvious scam from a mile away. I just hoped to make some more money by signing messages and abusing the referal bullshit. The fork cashcow days are over for good apparently.
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin on: December 26, 2019, 10:48:41 PM
Every month new Bitcoins are mined and sold on the market which creates a downwards pressure. Something like a ponzi dump can increase this pressure and make the price drop but does it really matter?

For every sold coin there's a buyer. Don't think that when somebody is dumping he's throwing the coins away. People are ready to buy at every level and the greater the dump the more buyers there will be. Short-term price doesn't matter!

We're currently building the foundation and launch pad for the next rally. So enjoy while it lasts.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Bitcoin Speculation Thread. Please Critique my Analysis. ;) on: December 26, 2019, 04:20:11 PM
It's been a long time...  Grin  I started the thread at a time when BTC just begun its crazy ride.  I think it's time to get back into it again.  Wink

Love to see old prediction threads coming up again. Smiley So how are you feeling tokeweed ? Do you get a cozy bullish feeling for the coming year as well ?
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will hit 5500 ? on: December 26, 2019, 04:18:15 PM
i think bitcoin will hit 5500$  because of bitmex leverage trading
Then it looks like there is another good time to invest and buy more bitcoin if that happens. Buying in a small amount of bitcoin is really a big advantage to big investors. If that is true then that is good news to those who are waiting for dips but not to those who are waiting for the increase of value. It has a bad and good impact on each and every one of us.

Just Dollar cost average on Dips. Probably repeating myself here a bit lol.

I'm currently patiently waiting to long $6.9k (0.618 fib of $6.4-7.7k move as well as stop area for longs opened in low $7k’s) even though it looks like we may have a shot on forming big ass H&S with target of $6.5k by end of the week or early next week. In that case I think new low will be reached shortly after. Move sub $7k or above $7.5k within the next few days invalidates potential H&S.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is the perfect time to sell BTC? on: December 26, 2019, 04:15:16 PM
I am holding BTC from long time ago. And this time BTC going up can I sell now with this price? Or I can wait for more days?

Determine the target to achieve the profit you have calculated when you make a purchase at that time, if you feel you have got a big profit, then there is no harm in making a sale to reap the fruits of the investment you have made so far
but in my opinion, if you can be patient waiting for market prices to rise sharply like 2017 then chances are you can get greater profits than now

Highly agree. Always sell on a run-up and not in a month long bearish phase.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Really Hit $1 Million? Demirors Warns Halving May Have Zero Impact on: December 26, 2019, 04:11:00 PM
Quote
“There is a very real possibility the price of Bitcoin does not go up after halving. For the first time, there is a robust derivatives (futures, options) market for Bitcoin. Most firms looking to speculate on Bitcoin will trade a derivative, not the underlying.

A topic that’s been studied in other commodities markets is how pricing is set. Bitcoin is, arguably, a digital commodity. Normally, producers set the price of a commodity (classic S = D = P from Econ 101) when derivatives take off, producers lose the right to set prices…

Bloomberg Markets editor Joe Weisenthal is also skeptical of stock-to-flow predictions. In a recent newsletter, he argues that Bitcoin’s fixed supply is well-known and already priced in.

the contrarian in me is thrilled to see these bearish opinions. it seems like lots of people are beginning to doubt the halving narrative. this is a good thing: bull markets are built on skepticism and pessimism. i'd be a lot more worried right now if everyone was bullish and hopeful.

let the bears keep shorting bitcoin 5 months from the halving. see what happens. Wink

Haha, I fully agree with you. All the same stories came up in 2016 for the last halving and got smashed hard in their balls. I equally enjoy the bearish tone and uncertainity. Lots of potential for growth for the true believers.
