This is actually my first topic on the bitcointalk forum, been in the crypto eco-sphere for some time now but didn't really feel the need to join this forum until lately. As a trader/ investor the market has taught me some pretty tough lessons and am currently in search of solutions. My question is when does one get out of a trade or sell off a crypto investment?. I used to be a sucker for the hold gang but recent experience has taught me that sometimes you just need to sell off some cryptocurrency even at loss and move on with your life. Examples of such include dragon chain. I bought at the top a year ago and because of the fact that i noticed they were constantly having meetups and news on their social media, i felt sooner or later the market will correct and it will escalate in price. Fast forward to today am rekt and my investment is almost 92 percent gone.
I think its important to throw this question open to the public because a lot of noobs are coming through and although this happens to be the best time to join the crypto space, people need to be educated that it won't be always rossy, you might need to get out of some trades before it gets you down the rabbit hole and into wretchedness.
So blockchain experts and crypto enthusiast when do you say is the best time to get out of a trade? or Dump a long term cryptocurrency you invested in? What level of loss can you take before you hit the panic button?.
You should sell your Altcoins when you find it profitable and remember that greed can kill you if you want huge profits. I don't dare to risk because I often invest when the market drops and buys and sells. another way I accept to sell all to cut loss and match the current situation. you should have a short-term strategy with altcoins and long-term with bitcoin so that you can have methodically as well as control of your Altcoins. |

You should choose IEO projects I think it will be safer and more successful than ICOS projects. Most investors don't care much about ICOS now. Because there are many of the scams and we are hard can be distinguished so buying tokens on the exchanges will be safer. |

Poor people are ruining crypto. so many people just in the game to get rich and buy lambos, posting broken english or poorly translated post like " what coin x1000 this week, I need ferrari countach"
the forum is filled with these people trying to make pennies spamming shitcoins and scam ICO's
these people dont mine or invest in things they believe in but whatever they think will make them rich. Its like giving homeless people GPU's and telling them they print money.
I think this last correction was needed and many more to kill off a lot of shit coins and lame projects as well as get rid of these poor people in the game just trying to get rich.
"my 1070 only makes $2 a day now!" oh you poor baby! try mining years ago when 5$ a month was huge but didn't matter cause you believed in the project.

My understanding for IEOs is basically instead of project handling raising funds etc. It will be for an exchange to do so.
An IEO hosted by Yobit or Binance can clearly not be compared. In other words, the exchange gives more credibility to the project regardless of whether it's worth it or not.
Am I the only one who thinks this is actually a bad thing and make people focus on the exchange hosting rather than the actual project and what the team is offering etc.?
For me whether IEO or ICO both can give profit to anyone here in the forum. Their difference only was that in ICO there is a high chances that the scammer can make a victim in it, unlike in IEO is not, due to it is already in the exchange. Now the impression would depend in the community as well here. I also agree with your views on IEO and ICOS are very potential and bring very high profits. But in ICOS a worm enriched soup and then the scammers suffused with projects that made real gold and fake gold confused. Therefore investors will be aware of IEO projects or ICO projects to continue investing. |

I'm in crypto to get rich. There are coins which pop 100x and even 1000x in small periods of time. Its possible to become a millionaire very quickly in this space.
My two biggest scores (in $ terms) we're with Nano (Raiblocks) and NEO (Antshares). I've also had some massive multiples but not earnt as much on a few low caps.
I want to find the next NEO / NANO. What are they?
If I were you I would choose NEO for a longer-term investment. NEO is a really impressive value for money 9.95 $ and NEO is ranked 19th on coinmarketcap. So i recently got a thing for designing shirts or making logo for some personal occassions. Since i love my work, i am planning to have a tshirt printing business which is unique and new from the eyes of the new generation consumers. Im planning to have a design which is all cryptocurrency and ask for bitcoin as a payment if possible. Ofcourse i will start first in my country and have a feasibility studies first. I have overhead many people in various bounty groups talking about how bounty campaigns are gonna die should we move on from ICO to rampant IEO issuance (maybe the exchanges shall take over the advertisements or so).
Fact is that if IEOs become a thing, many projects will arise and hence the services of bounty hunters shall be required again. Every project needs advertisements to expand and that's why we are there as bounty hunters. This is the same way ICOs grew in number.
All we should hope for is a better crypto ecosystem because at the end, we shall be needed for promotion in one way or the other

ETH will probably reduce costs more than buying Bitcoin. Because if you buy Bitcoin, it will not be possible to buy as much as ETH. Therefore buying and holding ETH will be beneficial for long-term investment. |
