1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Litecoin Inmediately. on: April 08, 2017, 01:55:35 AM
I do not think it`s a good time to buy ltc because btc began going up and everyone will jump on btc train soon.

Ltc dump is temporary. Ltc will be above 0.011 this month,
What's with these speculations always being in bitcoin.Speculate in USD like every other damn investment. Bitcoin might be at $900 or $1200 at the end of this month.
Ltc have inflated on segwit, to fill there more people ... will fall a long time again at 0.004 I think

What do you mean by "Ltc have inflated on segwit, to fill there more people"?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still a good time to buy Litecoin? on: April 04, 2017, 04:46:44 AM

I have some coins I've kept but I'm not sure if its still possible to earn with the litecoin being pumped. I recently bought some other coin as well like Ripple but withdraw the first chance I got earning me few bucks. Do you think the price of LTC wil be more than $10 before the month end?

It seems likely.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC is the next pump, buy before moon landing!!!!! on: April 03, 2017, 08:24:52 PM

Never put your eggs in one basket. There are miners who have been accumulating litecoin for a few years now and they are going to be selling into any rally, as well as bagholders who did not sell fast enough from the last pump. The smart move would be to hold mostly bitcoin with only a small portion of your holding in litecoin.

There are miners who have been accumulating and bagholders for every single coin. You think people weren't accumulating Dash for a while before it went wild? Or Ripple? Any other coin that's ever had a bull run? Same goes for bagholders. I see people say this all the time, it doesn't mean Litecoin can't have a run like every other cryptocurrency that were also "being accumulated for years, and laden with bagholders".

Your sarcasm aside, this .0065-.007 seems like a solid consolidation point for another pump. I'm thinking around .013-.015 one week from this post. We'll see though, put a few BTC on it and see what happens!

Agreed, 0.01-0.02 is highly likely.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin has potential. Beyond $50? on: April 01, 2017, 08:18:29 PM
So there's a few scenarios I see here.

Litecoin activates SegWit, Bitcoin follows suit.
Litecoin will most certainly rise from current levels, significantly.

Litecoin activates SegWit, Bitcoin activates BU
Money will pour out of Bitcoin (at least in the beginning) into Litecoin and other alts on hard-fork fear. Litecoin will rise.

Litecoin doesn't activate SegWit
Don't see why this would happen but in this scenario Litecoin would probably drop.

Conclusion:
If Litecoin activates SegWit it will rise significantly no matter how the dice are rolled.

BUY LITECOIN Grin
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the most promising Altcoins of 2017 and how to get them? on: March 06, 2017, 07:22:02 PM
Komodo, and you can get some on Bittrex or Cryptox.pl
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find out a legit ICO? on: January 15, 2017, 07:00:45 PM
Just do your due diligence and determine for yourself if the ICO and company doing the offering are legitimate. Look around at their websites, research the history of the company and the people involved at the company.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [KMD] Komodo speculation on: November 27, 2016, 08:51:22 PM
I don't know about you guys but I'm not expecting Komodo to correlate all that much with Zcash. I think Komodos most valuable technology is not the zero-knowledge proof anonymity, but the dPOW, Iguana Multiwallet, EasyDEX decentralized cryptocurrency exchange, and the PAX fiat exhange. The amazing thing is the Komodo team pretty much has all of these things working already, that's what sets Komodo apart from other cryptocurrencies, and what makes it really stand out among ICOs. Many other ICOs promise their technologies will be ready many months after the ICO, sometimes years. With all of that in mind, I think Komodo will easily be going for $0.10-$0.30, and I can see it going for anywhere up to a dollar if it gets enough eyes on it.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next $1 Billion Blockchain? on: November 26, 2016, 10:56:28 PM
KOMODO is not on the list and I also observed Zcash is not there either Undecided
What ever happened to most of the anonymous coins?

Yeah I know it's not on the list, I just think Komodo has some serious potential to be the next huge cryptocurrency. Komodo, Zcash, and Monero aren't on the list because this was posted back in April, before Monero took off, before Zcash launched, and before Komodo's ICO and it's fast approaching launch.

I vote Komodo.

So I've been waiting on my funds to clear for the past week and a half so I could invest in this ICO. My bitcoin is finally arriving today but the ICO is over. Will I still be able to buy BTCD before the snapshot in two weeks and receive KMD?

Yes you can.

Alright awesome, thank you!

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ARK] Speculation on: November 15, 2016, 08:06:13 PM
Here's a great article explaining what ARK is planning to do: https://www.smithandcrown.com/event/ark-ico-platform-cryptocurrency-consumer-services/

I think the coolest things that ARK will do are the SmartBridge technology, and the ARK smartcard. The SmartBridge technology will allow the ARK network to communicate with and execute operations on other blockchains, as well as allow any other blockchains to communicate with and execute operations on other blockchains through ARK. Here's an example the article gives on this:

Quote
Someone could issue an ARK transaction using Ethereum or trigger an Ethereum smart contract from Bitcoin through ARK–once Bitcoin and Ethereum become SmartBridge compatible.

The ARK smartcard is also cool, it's main purpose is to accelerate the adoption of ARK and cryptocurrencies in general. It will be able to communicate with the ARK network to make payments.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lisk Community Forging starts very soon on: November 13, 2016, 07:01:01 AM
Correct, here's a great explanation of how Lisks consensus mechanism differs from other cryptocurrencies:

Quote
Bitcoin introduced Proof of Work (PoW) from which miners have to calculate a solution (hash) to a problem, wherein the more powerful the miner is the faster he can find that solution. The miner who finds the solution first, mines (generates) the block, and a specific amount of Bitcoin along with it. That means the miner has a financial incentive to be the fastest. Therefore, Bitcoin has an ongoing arms race to become the most powerful miner, leading to an ever increasing energy consumption of the whole network.

Nxt introduced Proof of Stake (PoS) which removed the mining element from the network, thus reducing the energy consumption dramatically. With Nxt, your stake, i.e. the amount of coins you own, determines your chance to forge (generate) the next block. Therefore, there is not an arms race as such, but rather an emphasis on increasing your NXT stake, in order to increase your forging chance. However, in comparison to Lisk, the Nxt forging rewards are negligible.

Lisk combines both worlds; the energy friendly Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm, with the competitive element of Proof of Work (PoW). Additionally, Lisk adds a community element of elected delegates to the consensus mechanism.

In case you're wondering where I got this explanation, it's from the Lisk Documentation. Link here: https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-handbooks/DelegateHandbook. There's a ton of great information there.

As for when forging begins, it's expected to start in early December.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lisk Community Forging starts very soon on: November 12, 2016, 10:19:08 PM
Actually, in 119,353 blocks forging rewards will be activated which means new coins will be generated every block. Here is a quote from Lisks FAQ:

Quote
The forging rewards occur at a fixed rate per block, and change over the course of the network’s lifetime as follows:

5 LSK per block - in the 1st year.
4 LSK per block - in the 2nd year.
3 LSK per block - in the 3rd year.
2 LSK per block - in the 4th year.
1 LSK per block – in all other years.

In addition to the forging rewards, active delegates will also receive an equal share of the transaction fees.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / How do we solve the biggest problem with Bitcoin and Altcoins? on: November 30, 2013, 11:42:20 PM
The biggest problem with Bitcoin is volatility. Hands down, you can't argue that., and everyone knows it. Every new investor invests in Bitcoin with hopes that the price will rise, not to use it to buy things. Why would you spend something that could be worth 10x more the next day. Is there a way to add something to bitcoin to make it more stable, or do people not want it to be stable? Eventually either Bitcoin will change to become stable or a new currency will come along and take over. So has anyone come up with a way to stabilize a currency without a central authority? In the end I think Bitcoin will fall, and a new currency will take its place because there are too many flaws. Bitcoin is volatile, the name Bitcoin could be be much better, and it is not very user friendly at all. But it's paving the way for all other cryptocurrencies, and doing a great job at that.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Megacoins on: November 30, 2013, 08:05:46 PM
Thanks everyone I think I will buy some, and nice McQuack! 530% would make me happy too! Lol
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Megacoins on: November 30, 2013, 07:03:09 PM
I've been looking at Megacoins and they look very promising, it has a very nice website, wallet, etc... It just looks well thought out and set up. It has recently shot up to about $2, I'm thinking of buying some. I was going to buy Litecoins back in July when they were at $2 but I didn't and missed that train sadly. So anyone think Megacoin is going to head in the same direction as Litecoin did? Should I invest in them or stay away? Any opinions are appreciated.
