1  Other / Beginners & Help / Keeping track of the most important ALT coins on: December 05, 2013, 02:49:26 PM
He Guys,

I was monitoring the crash we just had via www.coinstats.tk. The website combines all Live trading statistics of all the major exchanges and places them in an easy to understand overview.

I would recommend using this website for the best possible way of keeping track of all the major exchanges! They are even planning on starting an exchange for all the major ALT coins beginning of 2014.

Check it out today! www.coinstats.tk

Good luck!

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: The best bitcoin client on: December 01, 2013, 11:57:12 AM
Thx for your reply! I should have checked the wiki before posting this thread!

I have a Mac so Armory is out of the question as long as they don't support Mac, besides that the 6gb disk space is pretty huge!

So I think multibit is and stays the best option for now. Thank you!
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / The best bitcoin client on: December 01, 2013, 11:41:34 AM
Which is the best bitcoin wallet client? I use multibit at the moment. I also have used bitcoin qt but I don't like the 'downloading blockchain takes ages thing'.

Are there better ones then multibit? And why should I use that one? Are there client wallets that are useable for more crypto currencys? Like Bitcoin and Litecoin in one multiwallet setting.

thx
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you mine the same bitcoin twice? on: December 01, 2013, 10:49:25 AM
nope not possible, there are only a limited amount of bitcoins. So 'counterfit' bitcoins is also not possible theoretical!

Simple version of what mining is:
Mining bitcoins means that your computer calculates a very difficult mathematical equation. Which is that hard, you need to have dedicated software to do this. As a reward you get the bitcoin. Whent hat equation has made, there is no point in calculating it again.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will probably be dead within 6 years. on: December 01, 2013, 10:45:18 AM
This indeed is something the coders have to think about! However as more people are going to use bitcoin the value will keep rising, I think transactions will become more behind the 0.0. Which is the benefit of having a completely digital currency. However a wallet like multibit which calculates the bitcoin amount compared to the USD value would be a must have for daily use.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Satoshi Nakamoto create bitcoin? on: December 01, 2013, 10:38:45 AM
I love the way bitcoin works, for example you should tell all customers of a specifc bank to withdraw their funds. The bank will collapse in a day! When all the customers have for example 10.000.000 of money stored with the bank. The bank only has a small piece of that to be withdrawn, so when a large number of customers withdraw their money, the bank ends up with no money at all.. Which automatically means collapsing.

This has happened all over the world the last couple years, dont trust your money with the banks! Especially live savings!
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whom of you was been able to cashout high amounts of money with exchangers. on: December 01, 2013, 10:31:46 AM
What do you mean with "Just do it a little bit a time". Give the exchangers more time to higher my limits or to wait for other exchangers..?
I am talking about +500 bitcoins but even +100 seems to be a problem with the mentioned exchangers.

This indeed is an issue i also have. With little bits at a time he means cashout in small amounts.

I always recommend doing that anyway, if something goes wrong you wont lose all your money. Its a bit of effort which is worth it!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A perspective on just how rare it is to own 0.1 BTC: on: November 30, 2013, 12:03:37 PM
I also think litecoin is going to be the second thing after bitcoin. The value exploded last couple weeks. I think it will rise even further coming months!!
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for local transactions on: November 30, 2013, 11:25:50 AM
have had done real time trading before. Its a matter of trust, but doesn't mean you should be naïve! Escrow services are superb for this kind of business!
11  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How often do you restart the computer your mining on? on: November 30, 2013, 11:11:19 AM

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin simply cannot replace fiat on: November 30, 2013, 09:45:07 AM
I think it can never replace fiat. I only hope one day it will live in peace together with other payment methods. I see cryptocurrency like some NFC chip, or bankcard.

17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Firesafe on: November 29, 2013, 03:15:22 PM
It indeed is a great idea, but how do you come around giving the private key to someone else. Should be perfect when 3d printing comes available to the big crowd!
