1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bitcoin wallet? on: November 30, 2013, 01:52:28 PM
I don't know if that wallet is still online after this time but perhaps it was mtgox or blockchain.info? They are old and although you might not recognize the user interference as it was changed from years back you might remember the name.

2005 to 2007? i think bitcoin was just a twinkle in satoshis eye back then

Bitcoin is an open source peer-to-peer electronic money and payment network introduced in 2009 by pseudonymous developer "Satoshi Nakamoto"

you can see it on google street view...but definately worth a visit to find out more info, if you go in heavy they will probably give up some info on their client

wish I could believe you Domenic, but anyone coming out in support of these scammers needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, especially as this is your first and only post

mr btc-e.com, who i know is a member on this board, and obviously reading this thread as it concerns your business, why are you so silent? why not come and defend your reputation, tell us who you are, where your offices are, your company details, all normal stuff that any company who reporting they are turning over so much money would have no problem providing unless.....ITS A SCAM

stop using these sock puppets its not fooling anyone anymore :-)

these are the oldest tricks in the scambook, sell something cheaper, appeal to peoples greed so they are blind to the obvious shortcomings of it, use every excuse under the sun why theres a problem, dont rip everybody off at the same time, then when the games up and they cant milk it anymore comes the final fuck and you suddenly realise how far away they really are. then you will all be looking at the blockchain watching your coins get traded away and fuck all you can do about it. brilliant scam, its gonna be millions, the biggest scam in btc history so far

better get your russian dictionarys out so you can write letters to the prosecutors in god knows where complaining about noone you know, not even a name

how can this not be a huge matter of concern for anybody holding bitcoin, and the mods on this forum??? once they go watch the crash, i think ill wait to buy in when everyone sells heh. btc-e clients and anybody holding bitcoin are gonna get right royally fucked, you have been warned

THESE are not "old accounts" dickwad, stop polluting my thread

As a total newbie to Bitcoin ...[snip] ...anybody have any ideas?

1. It was a statement of support, no need to get all bent out of shape.

2. Can tell you're new...

3. If you want help, it's best not to insult random people whom you're asking for help from. Especially one who is one of the better people on here at dox'ing.
The joke on #Bitcoin-OTC is no-one recovers from a 'Fox Dox'...

oh I get it now, I apologise, I thought the opposite, I missed the sarcasm, once again I apologise profusely :-)
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BTC-e scamming you? on: November 29, 2013, 11:38:28 AM
It seems problems arise when dealing with fiat. What about not withdrawing USD, just cryptos?
If I were to use BTC-e only for LTC/NMC into BTC, would I be able to transfer BTC out quickly without issues?

They have plans for ID requests for ALL withdrawals including ALT coins…..

of course they do, so they can duck dodge and hide behind the veil of bullshit they are creating to delay/lose payments
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e - £1500 Stolen on: November 29, 2013, 04:45:14 AM
how much they stolen from you?

let me tell you something, if their bank said they suspect a transaction was "fishy" they would have immediately returned it or not even accepted it. how are they supposed to determine if an incomming bank payment is "fishy"? its a bank transfer, it either comes or it doesn't, what's fishy about it? this is total bullshit

They are selectively scamming people and when they are finally brought to book just watch the shit storm it will create for bitcoin and the resulting crash in price.

I assume newbies can post outside of Newbie section in the Scams section only? Otherwise .... huh?

known scammers? or unknown scammers? we want some names...company registration number even...

This is an important situation for all BTC holders as if and when a major exchange goes down it will crash the price
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e ignore all my tickets ' ALARM on: November 28, 2013, 11:00:47 PM
do they sell btc on credit? No. So why shouldn't they have the money? probably spent it on hookers, white powder, and vodka...."look, its another "Pindosy" moaning about his 50k, hahahahah, just ignore him, stupid westerner"
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BTC-e scamming you? on: November 28, 2013, 10:47:34 PM
Nikolay Rozhok
CEO at Mayzus Financial Services Ltd
London, United Kingdom Financial Services

This is the guy who must hold company details for BTC-E.com or his company IS BTC-E.com

But he is trying to say he's nothing to do with fraud perpetrated through his company....

http://www.mayzusfs.com/ru/legal/fraud-prevention

4.       Check out the company or organisation. Never assume a firm wouldn't provide you with information, references, or regulatory contacts unless the information was accurate and reliable, that's precisely what swindlers want you to assume. They know that most people never bother to follow through.
Most victims of fraud contact a regulatory authority or law enforcement agency or the bank/financial institution after they've lost their money in other words when it’s too late. It's far better to make the contact and obtain whatever information is available while they still had their money.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BTC-e scamming you? on: November 28, 2013, 10:37:27 PM
It's all over the net. 1 example here: http://www.coindesk.com/btc-e-bitcoin-exchange-review/

that just says its bulgarian based, no company details or anything, doesn't mean shit. Is there a bulgarian company registered? if there is we can find out directors details etc but I dont think there is one...
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is BTC-e scamming you? on: November 28, 2013, 10:18:24 PM
Please what is the name and registration number of this Bulgarian company you mention
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E.COM Is it a scam and who are they? on: November 28, 2013, 09:26:27 PM
No, not a scam at all.  I have been using them for quite awhile and they are an indispensable service when it comes to converting your alt-coins to btc so you can actually realize all of your profits with a service like Coinbase. I have them as my default for deposits of Namecoins that I get in excess when mining primarily btc using BTCGuild with their merged mining of btc and nmc.  When my nmc hoard builds up to a nice amount I'll go and get a couple btc from them and BTC-E.com is the only place I have found that does this.

One Warning: You do need to see if people are currently gaming with the alt-currency that you want to exchange for btc because it can help or really hurt you. This site is the one place that is very easy to manipulate because of the lack of other market centers that trade these alt-coins and experienced users will take advantage of the novice if given the chance.

listen maybe you are another sock puppet newbie with 0 posts, don't fill this thread with erroneous information about alt currency's etc trying to confuse people, nobody said there haven't been people who had trades that went through, the accusation is it is a selective scamming scheme i.e. they rip off a percentage of customers not everybody in order to perpetuate the fraud for months

yes a good thing they got going on over there, but maybe they realise that it could all end if it bursts, or maybe the temptation of millions is a lot stronger than 0.02 fee's, who knows what their mindset is, if they were scammers before the bitcoin revolution with the btc highs, old habits are hard to break!

And if they are genuinely just swamped with payments that they cant handle, the end result is the same, people are losing money and they should be closed down or at least told to get their shit together, repeating oh we dont speak english is no excuse, hire some staff!

still think its a scam though
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e - £1500 Stolen on: November 28, 2013, 09:10:51 PM
When requesting a chargeback with my bank is it a good idea to mention the payment was for cryptocurrency? I ask because most banks have a very negative attitude towards Bitcoin.

EDIT: Looks like chargebacks are not possible from the UK for bank transfers, only credit cards.

Yes, wires / IBANs can not reversed in any country after the payment sent by the orginating bank.

Yes but what you can do is victims can group up and hit the UK company with a court order and get a UK judge to freeze the assets (including bank account of Mayzus Financial Services Ltd, in any EU country)

Mayzus Financial Services Ltd are enabling them to perpetuate this fraud, BTC-E.COM state on their website that its their bank account, therefore they are legally representing themselves as Mayzus Financial Services Ltd and without any information to the contrary you must treat Mayzus Financial Services Ltd and BTC-E.COM one and the same, simply a trading style.

I have been using btc-e for quite some time now and i find it to be the easiest and fastest exchange out there

says another newbie with 0 activity, sorry but I just don't believe you sock puppet
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E.COM Is it a scam and who are they? on: November 28, 2013, 08:39:40 PM
Maybe it's private?? As far as I know CoinBase is a small operation in itself (I mean the guy personally brings the keys to a safety deposit box versus a centrally owned vault of any sort) as well and wouldn't be surprised if they were masked with who.is protection as well.

In all honesty I've been trading with Cryptsy more lately than ever because BTC-E supports very few currencies, however I don't feel that who.is protection is any cause to call a company illegitimate

I didn't say it was enough in itself, but together with the other facts it shouts SCAM

Anyway, if your a victim, you can hold the UK limited company responsible as they claim on their website its their bank which means BTC-E.COM is a trading style of...

Mayzus Financial Services Ltd

whatever good that will do you, maybe enough to scare them to get your funds back...

Who did you wire the money to? Was it Mayzus Financial Services Ltd in the UK? Contact them and tell them you will be holding them responsible. Report them to uk financial watchdog and issue a county court judgement against Nikolay Rozhok/Mayzus Financial Services Ltd

This is taken from the BTC-E.COM website....

SO they got a UK limited company with a German bank account and a Czech Republic mailing address. They state on the website "OUR BANK" so you take screenshots of that and thats enough proof that you are under the impression that BTC-E.COM is a trading style of Mayzus Financial Services Ltd and they are responsible for the debt. You can sue this UK limited company at least with a County Court Judgement which is cheap to do.

I think they dont want this selective scamming scheme to finish yet so chances are they will pay you if you make a big enough fuss to this "company"
