I had 2.29 BTC in my account from my 200 gpu farm. Now the new system only gave me 0.19 btc . what happened? I thought we were all getting reimbursed. If you left your mined coins sitting in the pool for longer than the 7-day window (why on earth would you do that?) they've specified for reimbursement, then you most likely won't be getting it. 200 GPU farm if they are 7750s would yield 0.6Mh/s * 200 = 120 Mh/s 120 Mh/s @ 24 hours on DOGE today would yield approximately Weekly 21896235.18190090 12.26189170 $9,880.14 $672.00 $0.00 $9,208.14 If he only had 2.29 BTC, then that was for about 1 day's work. 0.6Mh/s on a 7750? How? Alternative time-line? Parallel universe? Typo?

Can't register at the moment.
Nope, sure can't.

Sort of what I've been saying all along, as well as others.
I've invested the better part of a month in mining SBC, virtually to the exclusion of other coins. I have reached the point where I no longer feel justified in using GPU time on it, for the time being.
Over the next couple of weeks I am going to be making some moves and decisions as to where and how I spend my time. If I don't see some improvement in all of what DC mentioned, then I will regretfully drop SBC.
Communication is vital to the survival of any commercial adventure, not just crypto-currencies. We need periodic updates, pep-talks, and some professional level PR . . . and with the sketchy, stutter-start this coin had, we need it all in good time.

Back up, folks.
Mining full-tilt-boogey.

"Somethin' ain't right here." All things being equal, if there's no catch other than what's been mentioned so far, one could make a fortune simply buying BTC ($743.2) at bitstamp and selling them at MtGox ($813.01) for an instant profit of $60+/BTC, depending on the spread. That's better than 9% compounded with each series of trades. Got to be a catch somewhere.

I hate this flying blind shit . . . but then I know so little about alt-coins overall that I suppose I have been flying half-blind the whole time. LOL! I just wish I could see my hashrate and my earnings. BTW. It is because of the manner in which you guys have handled this whole rape of the pool, that I have chosen to "fly blind" with your pool. You have garnered much karma with your handling of the losses. Besides, once I can see my earnings, It'll be like Christmas all over again . . . and I'm sure I'll be a 1000 BTC's richer . . . right? EDIT: Cool. I went ahead and logged in like normal and at least I can see my hashrate now . . . happy, happy, happy.

Oh goody! A personality cult coin . . . just what we need. Yeah, because all of those people in China and India and South America just love Ron Paul . . . demand for this coin will be HUGE!!! LOL!!!!

Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. Crypto-coins are most certainly of the world of Caesar, not of God. BlessCoin = FailCoin

The user has submitted more designs: I made another version of the designs, My iCoin address: BYe3zmdtwrSyyx2WpKuXzhDh2s5qdvZdxb I dig this one as well. YOu guys are both presenting excellent designs and concepts.

I really dig this one. Very elegant. If the nutjobs don't start screaming "Conspiracy!" because you're using the eye of Horus--"the all-seeing eye".

WTF does it matter? What the hell's business is it of yours where he was?
You either trust him, or you don't. If you don't, then you're not interested in advancing this coin, nor in mining and thus have no business here and ought to take a hint and piss-off.
IF you do, then it really doesn't matter, beyond your own pathetic curiosity now, does it?
If artos chooses to, he may eventually say where he disappeared to, but frankly, I have my own worries, and private affairs to which I must attend, I don't have time for character assassination and the idle speculation of trolls.
The trolls around here are really something. Everybody attempting to destroy everyone else's crypto-currency or destroy the reps of those who create them.
Bunch of pathetic souls.

Been using that one for last half-hour or so.

I'd like to volunteer to help Artos build this idea further. He's done this on his own a lot. A team ought to be built so others know there's developmental redundancy. One single point of failure raises skepticism amongst would-be investors. I'd suggest sending him a PM telling him your qualifications and skills.

I informed Cryptsy and my pool on the 24th with a link to this forum via twitter.
Yeah, the problem is, the fork happened on the 23rd, so the damage was already done.
|
|
|
This is the ultimate problem with completely open and free markets. Eventually there will have to be some controlling legal authority over the alt-coin trade--self-regulation hopefully.
This is not the first fork ever to have occurred in alt-coin history. The operators of Cryptsy should be well aware of the risks involved in running an exchange for unregulated "currencies." Therefore, in choosing to operate in this environment and under those conditions, the onus for making up the loss rests with them.
We don't, however want to see them driven out of business. The losses weren't their fault.
Your offer seems a reasonable one.
Ultimately this whole thing was due to insufficient communications among all concerned. Partly, this is attributable to the time of year, but also it is due to a lack of participation within the community.
As soon as 1.4 was announced, I notified Ortchi who operates the coin-base pool where I was mining at the time. I shortly received the notification that he had upgraded. I wonder if anyone else notified their pool operators.
Clearly Cryptoculture was caught off-guard.

Yeah, all of those coins should be good. The problematic fork didn't occur until the 23rd.
As for the other, back up your wallet.dat, then just install the new prog. Go to the new directory and replace the new wallet.dat with your backup.

It looks quite fine, if I do say so myself. Excellent! Job well done.

Hope I didn't lose any coins in this fork. Stopped mining for now. Will switch back when everyone is on the same chain.
All of the major pools are on the correct chain. Coin-base, cryptopool, and cryptoculture for sure. I think the euro pool is current as well. Don't know about the others, but it's easily determined.

Based upon the current 3.45 minutes per block average over the last 100 blocks it figures we won't get to block 317000 for another 5.2 days.
Nothing for it, but to slog our way through it. Mining has become almost as laborious and unrewarding as when the giant multi-pools were hammering us. Sadly, that's just the way it has to be.
