in wallet 2.5.1.0, for those of us who have visual issues, how do i turn off the theme crap or otherwise set to plain high contrast colours like a normal qt wallet? slider/scrollbars in particular are essentially impossible to see with any of the available themes.
If you want it plain just remove the themes folder. Also if you are a bit savvy you can check out the readme file in the themes folder and you can customize your own. thanks

I get runtime error starting the QT, any know fix for this?
i found the moment it finishes reading the blocks and about to start the gui wallet (and probably start networking to download new blocks) is when it faulted. if i disabled my network connection before it finished reading the blocks, it started up fine. and then re-enabled my network connection after the wallet screen is fully up. i run "network activity indicator" tool in my windows systray, so doing network stop/starts is fairly fussless. So where can we exchange our EACs?
btc38 says "EAC wallet malfunction, is waiting for EAC official maintenance"
and jubi has not an english version.
And who conducts the "official maintenance"? I see sometimes great volumes in btc38, but I cannot participate.
I have the same question. Still got some old earthcoin that i want to transfer to btc38. I thought that someone had indicated that the issue with btc38 regarding earthcoin was recently solved? Has anyone got an update on this? Also is there any news on earthcoin. Is is still being developed or dead? dead like a parrot. and like the dead parrot, there will always be someone who insists that it's still alive.

what's going on with the block chain - all recent blocks are orphans...
thanks
Same here since about a week. Stopped mining EAC for the moment. when doing a "getpeerinfo" i see some version 1.4.0 wallets. what is that wallet?? are they the cause of the orphans for us mere mortals still on 1.3.3 ?

Fellow miners, help spread out the hashing power by joining the pool - http://neonpool.ddns.netCoin dev, please add it to the OP. Payouts every hour with minimum 10 Musicoins. 0.5% pool fees to support pool maintenance. the ethminer program i tried wanted a graphics card with MORE than 1GB of ram (ie: a 2GB card) sorry, but upgrading my graphics just for mining is not justifiable and will stick with my mere 1GB total card and not deal with eth algorithm coins. must be nice for kids now days to have all those huge memory gaming graphics cards Most people have graphics cards with 2GB these days. You can get an R9-270 on ebay for $50-100 USD. most people do not. most gamers do. i do not game, unless you have the card for some other purpose other than coin mining, it will never pay for itself (dont forget the ongoing electricity cost of such a pig doing mining.) oh, that $100usd is $138 canadian dollars, plus excessive ebay seller shipping charges, plus border taxes/fees (15%). many sellers do not ship outside USA, and many others INSIST on using UPS for delivery which is not a viable option into canada. (yes, UPS is in canada, they are NOT viable to my address. Fedex okay, post office okay, DHL okay, but absolutely not UPS) Since you are in Canada you can buy a RX 470 4GB for $200. You will currently make $3/day with it. However most likely in the near future this figure will go down. Since last month they only made like $1.50/day. None of us are gamers either. We just do it for the money. When we are done with mining we will sell the GPUs to gamers. Right now mining is extremely competitive. vendor? best price i see on amazon.ca is an asus version at about $232+tax

so i download the win64 version, unzip it into a fresh folder of its own. click on it and get error "Unable to find locale data files. Please reinstall." as for suggestion people go to Slack, you pretty much affirmed my claim this isnt ready for prime time real public kind of people. you cannot expect real users to tap dance through chat rooms to get what the need to run a most basic setup. as i tried to say in my OP, pushing hard to get onto multiple exchanges is risky, it will attract attention, people will come and look, people will see amateur hour, they will leave and never look back. you only have one chance to make the inital splash. its risky to do it too soon.

Very Good! People write in your twitters "Please @Poloniex add $MUSIC @musicoins https://github.com/Musicoin you will love it " use # ..... we can see $music on poloniex very soon it seems risky to be pushing this hard before there's actually a function windows GUI wallet that will actually connect to peers and keep files in the correct place. only one chance to make a splash, if the initial experience people have is bad software, they will go away and not look back.

Hi. I need your help.
I created a local Musicoin wallet and my hard drive was damaged. I have the address and password of my wallet. Is it possible that I can recover the coins I had in my wallet with this data?
Thank you.
No you need your private key which is in your KEYSTORE file. If you hard-drive was completely damaged then your coins are gone forever unfortunately. I'm so sad right now. Thanks for your answer. Check your %APPDATA%/Musicoin directory for your keystore file, maybe it survived. except it wont be under %APPDATA% whoever built the current wallets fumbled and instead of using the system %APPDATA% variable they hand-typed the path and mistyped it. you need to look under \user\<yourusername>\appdata\roaming\ rather than \users... ie: no "s" on user(s) as the real %APPDATA% would have.

my experience with essentially a non functioning windows wallet has me thinking this coin will be going nowhere fast. user experience is everything, and non-gui javascript consoles blabbering in json formatted text is not a good user experience -- that is if you can find that console program with the windows zip file distribution of several thousand files.

Is it working now?
nope, because i didnt have the .conf file in the correct (which was incorrect) appdata folder. however i did find the gmc.exe binary hiding in the huge zip file distribution so i ran gmc.exe and cut&paste all those addnodes from the earlier forum posting, and now the chain is downloading. and i was perplexed i coudn't find where those chain/block files were landing. as it turns out, per my previous post, they were landing in a slightly incorrect folder structure. here are some windows environment variables (on a 64 bit system) that are useful to be aware of (where 'dnp' is the 'username') APPDATA=C:\Users\dnp\AppData\Roaming COMMONPROGRAMFILES=C:\Program Files\Common Files CommonProgramFiles(x86)=C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files CommonProgramW6432=C:\Program Files\Common Files HOMEDRIVE=C: HOMEPATH=\Users\dnp LOCALAPPDATA=C:\Users\dnp\AppData\Local PROGRAMFILES=C:\Program Files ProgramData=C:\ProgramData ProgramFiles(x86)=C:\Program Files (x86) ProgramW6432=C:\Program Files SYSTEMDRIVE=C: SYSTEMROOT=C:\Windows USERNAME=dnp USERPROFILE=C:\Users\dnp WINDIR=C:\Windows

Best way because you aren't using the mining node version that allows you to enter the settings in the console is to add a config file to your %appdata%\Musicoin folder.
looks like someone didnt properly do windows coding and didnt "lookup" %appdata% in the program but rather typed in the path. on my windows7 system (and most win7) %appdata% is: /users/<loginname>/appdata/roaming/... and indeed the windows .exe for musiccoin did drop a couple files under %appdata%/musicoin/ namely a subfolder "wallet-ui" however... under /user[but no S]/<loginname>/appdata/roaming/musiccoin i have chaindata, dapp, nodes, history, nodekey someone mistyped, when they should have been properly doing a dynamic lookup for %appdata% environment variable
