Just noticed this sentence.

for security reasons we are assuming that MTGox has none of it's client's bitcoins

interesting..

The orderbook was looking pretty dire. Probably a wise move, prevent a sell off and let things calm down.

It's not entirely clear if the attacker got access to the Mt.Gox source code, but at the moment it's probably safer to assume the salt was compromised as well.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox Rollback Due to a compromised Account on: June 19, 2011, 07:22:23 PM
What price are they rolling back to? Something tells me that isn't going to hold when i comes back online.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge selloff + Ordering not possible on MtGox on: June 19, 2011, 06:16:51 PM
Who has the sense to pay $10+ for something that people bought for less than $1 minutes ago?
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone's cashing out on mtgox - price from $17 to $0.01 in minutes! on: June 19, 2011, 06:00:46 PM
Look at the depth, if it's really then it doesn't look good.

1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge selloff + Ordering not possible on MtGox on: June 19, 2011, 05:52:40 PM
Holy shit $1. Maybe a glitch or hack?

City of London lunch-hour-player. May as well do something while you eat your sandwich bought at Pauls, why not bitcoin.

Not sure if serious. But no, i'm a country boy and my lunch normally consists of a big bowl of cereal.

Initially bought £2000 @ average £8, sold at £15. bought £2000 again @ £10, sold at £14. Just over doubled my money ~£4500, cashed it all out. But i've wasted a ton of time on this forum and watching charts. Might look at making a long term investment in a few weeks.

Did it take you literally 5 fucking minutes to type out that asinine sentence?

Less, about 20s, as much time as it took you to get your panties in a twist.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Change of Heart...Possibly. on: June 18, 2011, 12:23:06 PM
Many of my criticisms have been about bitcoin's gross overvaluation, but this new view lends credence in my mind that maybe BTC isn't actually overvalued right now, and might actually be slightly undervalued at this point.

Translation: I've just bought in, now you should to.

Why can deflationary currencies never get dates?

Because they won't go down on you.

Bu dum chi.
