image source: https://twitter.com/SouthamptonFC/status/1449402917165879304Our boys from Southampton with a narrow but well-deserved 1-0 win over Leeds, their first of the season. Congrats to them and Sportsbet! The Saints have fairly easy upcoming fixtures (Burnley, Watford, Villa, and Norwich). A good time to pick some more wins and move up the standings. Cheers, everyone!

... Thanks for the heads up, Even the +11 couldn't have saved the day for me. It was a complete blowout win for Hawks, and understandably so. I'm just going to sit the rest out until the 19th October, I guess. I hate taking double-digit spreads but when i saw Haslem in the starting lineup for Miami, i had to take it...this was the closest thing to free money. All of Miami starters are back tonight, this should be their final dress rehearsal before the start of the season, so i've got them and GSW in a two-leg parlay. Gl, everyone!

What was the trade request? And dak isn't a bad option he always is a possible 4 td guy per game. I actually don't think much of the eagles passing game. Hurts is detrimental. In ff he might get you some points with his feet, but I don't see them blowing up. Bucs d is only bad because they can play soft knowing Brady boy will save them. Trade was Elijah Mitchell for Khalil Herbert straight up. Mitchell has bye this week and possibly more upside going forward, but i like Herbert with Williams on covid reserve, the Bears simply don't have anyone left at RB. Herbert short-medium outlook is great, and GB gave two TDs last week to the Bengals RBs. As for Hurts and Dak it's a tough choice every single week. Dak has one bust so far against the Chargers though (on the road) and Hurts has been reliable and consistent fantasy wise, over 20 points in each game. LOL, this is getting ridiculous, I know I complain a lot but I have 3 out, 3 BYEs and 5 Questionable, FF showing its true colors. Next week will be brutal, i've 17 players in both forum leagues that are either injured or on BYE.
At least I am not alone at FF hell. I will pray for you. @Hueristic, sorry for the trade request, i like Mitchell but it's Herbert szn, kid looks great and is likely to get 20+ carries vs GB. No worries, I had to give it a shot. I'll still do my best every week. I saw the Damien Williams news sorta late, thought someone beat me to it and snatched Herbert. Well, i had to drop A. Robinson II, feel free to grab him. (finally i was able to get rid of him lol)

Next week will be brutal, i've 17 players in both forum leagues that are either injured or on BYE. Needless to say, i can't afford to drop any games in Week 6, and it all starts with Jalen Hurts (who i prefer over Dak). The Buccaneers are missing a linebacker, Winfield Jr., and have the league's worst pass defense. Let me cherrypick a few stats: Bucs Opponent Completions per Game - 32.8 (32) Opponent Completion Percentage - 72.89% (29) Opponent Passing Yards per Game - 314.4 (32) Opponent Passing First Down Percentage 75.00% (32) source: https://www.teamrankings.com/nflQuez Watkins and DeVonta Smith are going to feast on that terrible Bucs secondary, i could see one of them (if not both) finish with 100+ yards and a TD. Here's my two game/player props: Eagles over 0.5 FG; Eagles +14.5; Eagles O16.5 pts @1.88Hurts 1+ pass TD; Gainwell 10+ rec yards; Watkins 30+ rec yards @1.85@Hueristic, sorry for the trade request, i like Mitchell but it's Herbert szn, kid looks great and is likely to get 20+ carries vs GB.

I'm going against the Odds tonight, I'm backing the Miami Heat against Atalanta Hawks, Heat have won all but one of their preseason games so far while Hawks have lost two and won their last match, The odds is 5.55 for Miami Heat and I could care less about who or doesn't play tonight. I'm just going to some bucks the Heats way.
If you really want to go with Miami today, better take the spread, +11 as of right now... However, i don't think they stand a chance, too many absences overall, their 8 best players are out, and most of Atlanta's guys are available to play. You are asking too much from Strus and the rest of Heat's bench, not to mention that the Heat play one more game the very next day. I won't be surprised if this ends in Atlanta's blowout win. source: https://ak-static.cms.nba.com/referee/injury/Injury-Report_2021-10-13_05PM.pdf

Raptors ml + Nets ml @1.99I have the Raptors and Brooklyn to win today. Raptors beat Philly in their preseason opener (at home) and played a close game with Boston just a few days ago. Except for Dragic, who will sit this one out, they don't have any missing players. I watched the Rockets play the Heat and i can say i'm not a fan of teams that start/play two big men (Theis and Wood). I'm hoping the Raptors have a lead going into the fourth quarter because benches usually finish preseason games, which can be quite unpredictable. source: https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/basketball/nba/player-news#team=271&page=1Tyrese Maxey (left adductor tightness), Tobias Harris (sore knee) and Seth Curry (rest) will not play in Monday's preseason game.
Shake Milton (ankle) and Grant Riller (knee) will also be unavailable for tonight's exhibition, so it'll be interesting to see who gets the start at point guard. There's a decent chance we'll see a good amount of Isaiah Joe tonight.
Sixers with too many absences, i'm not sure who will be their guards today, and the Ben Simmons drama/distraction is on 24/7, so yeah, give me the Nets.

^ Bucks will have their starters available tonight, Giannis, Holiday, and Middleton...they will all play and make their preseason debut. I actually picked the opposite of what danherbias07 has, i went with Bulls and Bucks combo, not really crazy odds as you can see but i will take it at this point.

^ Nice to see the Clubhouse Raffle promo back!
It's been what 5-6 months since the last draw! I presume the rewards stay the same and haven't been adjusted/changed (i can't recall the exact numbers before it was paused). Even at the lowest levels of gold/platinum there are some more than decent payouts, you simply have to be a little lucky and have your name drawn.
iirc, we had a few winners from the forum, right?

If you had the Vikings in your Survivor pool/Eliminator challenge you were in for a ride today. lol Vikings up 7 with a minute something left in the game, need a first down or just kick it, Lions are out of timeouts. Mattison fumbles the ball, the Lions score and goes for two, converts up 17-16. Only to lose to a last-second FG by Joseph. I had both Joseph and the Vikings D/ST in my Yahoo league, likely to win it for me, 26pts combined. Bengals and Packers had a crazy finish as well, so many missed FGs there.

Extremely boring set of matches in today's WC Qualifiers card... In a game like that, i would normally go with BTTS or O2.5, but the Norwegians are missing a few key players, including Haaland, Sorloth, and King. Norway leads Turkey by two points in the standings, so a draw would not be the worst scenario for them going forward. I see a few changes in Turkey's starting eleven from their humiliating loss to the Netherlands last month, plus they have a new coach, so i'm not sure what to expect. An early goal for either team could open this match, but i'm skeptical about that. Turkey needs points and should be the team that dominates possession and created chances, hence i'm going with total corners O4.5
