It has a better efficiency than a X10. Factor 2.8 more hashrate and about 20% less electricity.
I would guess its just power optimized X10 chips. Maybe a X10 could also be optimized like this. I dont think they developed new chips. Or they just binned the chips and sorted the best out for the new miner.
I dont think the specific miner kills the X10. The hashrate increase will just decrease the profits in general. But I doubt a lot of there will be bought. We'll see.

I saw a drop in Watts but also in hash. I only upgraded without replacing the bmminer again.

Some say it is not significant tuning the chips individually. I dont think so and I would like to try it. As House Xylander said, there is an interface, that checks the chips and shows them all coloured from green, to yellow, to red. Then you can pitch up the frequency for all green chips or each one by yourself etc.
I think you can decrese the HW errors by letting the poor chips hash slower and the good ones faster. That should increse the effectivity.

But unfortunately the only firmware I have found so far that supports this, has a dev fee included. So if someone has one without dev fee, that would be great. although now it would be interesting to get a firmware, that also supports asicboost.

Yes it does, but not by each chip individually. Do you have a no dev fee firmware that can modify the chips individually?

I was referring to the Low Power patch.

Bitmain uploaded now 3 different versions and the old ones were removed. 1021, 1022 and now 1023. All have different filesizes. But comment is the same.

Hey @taserz, can you maybe check if the recent Low Power upgrade by Bitmain affects your config? It seems a bit suspicious how the miners hash after applying the update. I also saw in the archive of the update, that there is a bmminer file. maybe it overwrites your bmminer?!

The hashrate changes sometimes depending on temperature even if you just reboot without changing anything.

Works with the newest low power patch from bitmain. Dont know what is modified by the patch though. 50-100w less power consumption 0,2-0,4 TH less.

I dont know its all tve same. You can find it on ebay e.g. its 2% devfee. But i read its even more.

Does anybody know a firmware that tunes the chips individually without devfee? I would like to try to find out if that decreases HW errors...
