41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: November 14, 2017, 01:36:38 AM
I've been watching the last round and it was scary because nether eosscan.io nor eos.io/distribution/ showed correct amount of contributed ETH
so I was "blind" and did not participate

is there other way to check current contribution?

none of the eth explorers agree on crowdsale address balance either:

https://etherchain.org/account/0xd0a6E6C54DbC68Db5db3A091B171A77407Ff7ccf
https://etherscan.io/address/0xd0a6E6C54DbC68Db5db3A091B171A77407Ff7ccf
https://live.ether.camp/account/d0a6E6C54DbC68Db5db3A091B171A77407Ff7ccf

any danger in block.one getting wrong numbers for these distributions?  is this discrepancy due to eth?
42  Other / Meta / Re: Organized farming of member ranks on: November 14, 2017, 12:33:19 AM
if a user's ignore count (number of times they've been ignored by, say, Full Member+) were displayed, it could be easier to identify spammers, or easier for people to ignore spammers without reading their posts, or there could be an option to ignore anybody who has been ignored by 100+ Hero/Legendary+ members.

although ultimately, this is a business, and i dont expect anything will be done.  most airdrops that new members are going after are worthless, so maybe after people waste enough of their time they'll get bored, and most of the worthwhile airdrops will require more than a forum account.  there are still places on this forum that aren't overrun by farmed accounts.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ►►►[XBC] BitcoinPlus ►Official Thread◄官方公告◄◄◄ on: November 13, 2017, 10:07:11 PM
because of the name, i have to ask: is there any kind of an airdrop/fork/giveaway for BitcoinPlus?

(i ask because Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcore, Bitcoin Red, and probably a few others have done forks/airdrops.. need to look into LiteBitcoin, Bitcoin Scrypt, AntiBitcoin, BitcoinFast, Bitcoin Planet, Bitcoin 21, wouldnt be surprised if there are more)
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTG Dev's Allot Themselves 8,000 BTG's Worth $50 Million USD @ Launch on: November 13, 2017, 01:05:32 AM
forks are the new ICOs..  Cheesy

Pool is currently waiting for the Devs to finish their premine and will then auto-start stratum at Block > 499407

block 491407 was 'fork' and public mining begins 499407, all 8,000 blocks in between are to be OWNED by retards in Bulgaria, ... figures, ... this keeps getting richer.

So those Bulgarians steal $50 Millions from the marketcap? How do you know that they are Bulgarians? I've checked and this is very small country.

lol size of country does not matter.. http://sofiaglobe.com/2017/10/26/interview-bulgarias-martin-kuvandzhiev-bitcoin-gold-developer/

and i would not call premine stealing.. you dont have to give them any money.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: November 13, 2017, 12:58:18 AM

47  Other / Meta / Re: Is theymos a cis white male gender fascist? on: November 11, 2017, 02:48:44 AM
Unfortunately, I think that you misunderstand the system. Given the trillions of different gender identities, we have adopted a coding system in which each gender identity is assigned a 64-bit number. For example, and only for illustration (I do not wish to presume your wingspan), Apache-attack-helicopter-gendered people would need to input the easy-to-remember code 0x9b68d151aeefa34f. In order to maintain compatibility with legacy systems, however, this is done by submitting the form multiple times with different genders. For example, in this case you would input Male Female Female Male Male Female Male Male Female Male Male Female Male Female Female Female Male Male Female Male Female Female Female Male Female Male Female Male Female Female Female Male Male Female Male Female Male Male Male Female Male Male Male Female Male Male Male Male Male Female Male Female Female Female Male Male Female Male Female Female Male Male Male Male. Simple! Now, it may seem discriminatory to assign Male 1 and Female 0, but not to worry! The coding is designed so that you can also input the inverse and get the same result. And to avoid left-handed bias, you can also enter it in opposite order. In fact, you can just put in whatever sequence of entries you want and the result will be the same.

So you see, bitcointalk.org is in fact the most progressive website ever, and I am ashamed to live in a world in which this system isn't yet codified into law.

LOL. this is how you troll a troll.  Cheesy
48  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-0-11]Bitcoin.com - Omni Layer: Advancing Bitcoin to 2.0 on: November 10, 2017, 08:19:32 AM
Is this the main Omni thread?  Can't find another one.. Omni has to be one of the most undervalued coins in crypto.

this coin was mined the whole way? no airdrop on BTC holders? no giveaways/bounties/etc?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] XNN - XENON - Massively Distributed EOS Alt-chain on: November 10, 2017, 01:16:31 AM
What's the status of the Xenon airdrop on BTC holders?

Long term, Xenon will not be an ERC20 token, correct?  If so, when do we exchange our ERC20 XNN for the real thing?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: November 10, 2017, 12:25:02 AM
Greed is a terrible thing, this project had so much potential.

Did it?  Their goal was to rewrite Decred in a different programming language.. They raised more in their ICO than Decred's market cap.. what potential?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Raiden Network is very bullish at the end of November. on: November 09, 2017, 11:05:30 PM
Why does Raiden have its own token?  Isn't this analogous to bitcoin selling, say, a BIP148 token?

What exactly am I buying if I buy Raiden Network token?  Is the network development complete?
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite Altcoins for one year HODL on: November 09, 2017, 10:14:52 PM
It is $XRP indeed. Because it is the most successful one in terms of building partnerships with the financial institutions.

Financial institutions have no incentive to use Ripple's platform as is.  If they use the open-source code, they won't use XRP.  Stellar is less centralized, created by the founder of Ripple (to address the wrong direction that Ripple was going), and has much higher potential for returns.

Lisk, Stellar, and Byteball are good buys right now.  Zcash a good buy for longer term (it has to inflate like 900% from here..)
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: November 09, 2017, 07:08:07 AM
In terms of byteball airdrops and effect on price I would expect that skipping the airdrop for a particular month, equating to less supply that month, should tend to boost the price, just by normal supply versus demand dynamic, although that didn't seem noticeable in the last skipped air drop month.

I can imagine that 'slow' dripping of byteball into the market by these airdrops though, is prolonging  uncertainty and aggravated by the fact that Tony has ultimate control over when to airdrop and when not to and to change the rules at his whim. This airdropping is the equivalent of central banks tinkering with money supply and no different here really.

Part of me, in a very gung ho way, would like to just dump all the byteball onto the market in one huge load to byteball holders according to the amount of bytes they hold (not bitcoin holders), without pre-announcing it. This unexpected windfall would cause huge waves. But at the same time, in one quick shot remove all the prolonged uncertainties about distribution. Like ripping a plaster off quick is better than peeling off slowly.

Thats what I'd like, then we can get on with using byteball.

Completely agree.  Finish the distribution.  Accept the fact that price will be temporarily depressed.  Then moonshot begins  Cheesy

Does somebody know if there will be a airdrop this month?

Or will we skip this one?

Tony said we skip December:

I'll decide and announce the plans for future distribution around mid-November.  But it is already certain that we skip the December full moon.  The purpose of the free distribution is in acquiring new users, and we should use the remaining undistributed coins most efficiently.  That's why we are slowing down the distribution and gradually phasing out the method based on balances, which is not expected to produce much positive impact any more.  Cashback has already proved more efficient in terms of cost of user acquisition, albeit it is still slow.  Other product updates linked to the distribution are still in the making but not certain enough to speak about them now, I expect more certainty in the middle of November.

do small airdrop on ETH that's only redeemable via transition bot for, say, a month or two.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: November 09, 2017, 06:54:36 AM
Wow, we can see the graph with Lisk name on it on the mother fucking CNBC today! This is awesome, here is the youtube video about it, its somewhere on 3 minutes and 45 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cCVAs1Nd7Q&feature=youtu.be&t=206

wow!

Lisk is dumbbbb and super imbalanced. I mean 70% of the coins belong to the top 100 people. Lol. All the noobs here playing with LISK to make the top holders wealthy. Slaves.

you're counting exchange wallets as 1 person.  Roll Eyes

when is the SDK estimated to be released?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you ever got (or didnt get) on: November 09, 2017, 06:46:47 AM
please post the value of the airdrop at time of airdrop and now
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some ICOs not allow American investors? on: November 09, 2017, 04:19:29 AM
cuz you don't wanna deal with the US legal system.. if an ICO blocks US people, its safer for the project/company/organization/protocol/etc.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum on: November 09, 2017, 03:16:01 AM

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - new virtual fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: November 08, 2017, 07:23:17 AM
BTX undergoing a nice price rise.. up 28% in 24 hours.  Some coins, like Byteball, dump following airdrops.. but BTX keeps charging forward.. any recent good news?

Also, how long will the weekly airdrops go on for?
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Do You Trust With Your Money? MY Answer: XRP & Ripple on: November 04, 2017, 09:59:29 PM
There are a lot of projects I trust and a lot I dont trust. Guess on which side Ripple is. To give you a hint Bitconnect is on the same side as Ripple.

 Cheesy

From a technology, risk/reward, and human capital perspective: Stellar > Ripple.  I'd be interested to hear a Ripple advocate argue the opposite.
