i AM worried about the US gov seizing mtgox.com like they seized the poker sites.  should Gox move to a different TLD like piratebay/demonoid?

i am worried about the US gov freezing Gox's bank accounts like they froze >70 banks accounts related to PokerStars, Full Tilt, and Cereus.

def dumb but understandable if they had spam problems.  if they really want to fight spam there should be a demonoid-esque system of invites/vouching where you get in trouble if you give somebody an invite and they spam.


isn't Gox in serious danger being at a .com address?  i fear governments are gonna seize Gox like the poker sites when btc market cap increases.  then the US DOJ will have a money grab incentive and they can freeze almost any bank account in the world...

pretty standard for MB.  they are effectively an offshore bank account so they have to freeze/verify accounts.

better question is why do they take such high commission
