13649  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List of of popular Exchanges freezing withdrawals + List of trading normal on: February 13, 2014, 03:16:38 PM
add virwox (suspended withdrawn).

Quote
2014-02-12: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT : BITCOIN WITHDRAWALS SUSPENDED!
Warning

Because of a denial-of-service attack against the Bitcoin protocol, we have to suspend Bitcoin withdrawals temporarily until a software fix is issued.

No funds have been lost and no funds are at risk.

This is a denial-of-service attack made possible by some misunderstandings in Bitcoin wallet implementations. These misunderstandings have simple solutions that are being implemented as we speak, and we're confident everything will be back to normal in a few days.

Bitcoin withdrawals which are on hold pending review will remain on hold until it is safe to process them. You may also cancel such pending withdrawals (from the transaction history) if you wish to do so.

We will communicate any further developments regarding this issue. Thank you for your understanding.

Do we need an animal mascot? Should we have a Bit-chan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moe_anthropomorphism)?

13651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a way/method to buy bitcoins using paypal? on: February 12, 2014, 08:23:38 AM
I used Virwox a few times at the beginning. They charge some nasty fees but you can get bitcoins.

14,6 % for an exact perspective.
(9% if you have the level 3 grad).
13652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN GOT HELD on: February 12, 2014, 08:21:55 AM

13654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's stop all transactions, right now! on: February 11, 2014, 11:05:01 PM
It's fine with me if it takes 2 months.

In 2 days, we have the fall of MT.gox ... in 2 minutes, we have this :

2 months is too long for a network that it can react with 7 transactions per second.  Grin

13656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is doomed to fail, and there's nothing you can do about it. on: February 11, 2014, 10:26:21 PM
it will come from a fully operational quantum computer that is controlled by the banks or governments.

Even if this append ... block the IP in hardcoded and it's done.  Grin
Like in many P2P file sharing software, you have an ipfilter.  Cheesy
13657  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2014 is NOT the year of bitcoin, sorry on: February 11, 2014, 09:29:06 PM
2013 was the year of bitcoin. 2014 not so much... I think 2015 might be the next "year of bitcoin" ...

Grin we are in Februar, man ... (16,7% of the year !)

13660  Local / Débutants / Re: Bitcoin-QT FREEZE : MAJ ??? on: February 11, 2014, 12:06:11 AM
