1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are stable coins? on: July 31, 2018, 03:03:26 PM
I think any stable coin is designed for keeping its price fixed and thus it can help the mass adoption of currencies. Yes fiat is stable but with having some limited features.

Not all FIAT is stable ... consider some currency of a country nobody is interested in holding ... this particular FIAT currency is volatile and any other currency is potentially volatile

I don't understand how crypto coins can be stable. After all, in the script there are no auxiliary organs for this coin and they are not tied to anything. Their price depends on supply and demand. So there can be no stability now.
One way to reinforce stability in crypto

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto stablecoins you need to know about on: July 01, 2018, 06:20:30 AM
@cr197 thanks for bringing this up
BitBay will have a go into stablecoin land in a matter of 2-3 months with a working version of dynamic peg thus its going to be battle tested
so it does not matter if it is mentioned anywhere as it can prove its value on usage ...

the transaction was rejected by network rules. TX rejected [01000000e5e07b5a018a0e7fa4f09346370de285a7ce174f616f05cd823eb420aeaa24af55ce0f1ad9010000006b483045022100dcfd57738b6a795bcc8347bb5e85373dca7e8d3ba02f005d9f2d1688cb02fb60022059aa8f42c2a42da366450aa5d22d4d3a36303359f068d87ab91773429a00f54e012103565aa5c53fe63a25cd6d432b11b4df6c058173f4b1243aa588f46ad306317afbffffffff0200e8bc0b3b0000001976a914018b2863d39975a5f2dffecf17313845d055d2eb88ac4e6e4902000000001976a914a625ffc5d657e0c7c15581ddc59238325b966ae288ac00000000]

@brainland
Decoded your transaction and it seems the timestamp was (at the time) far in the future (about 9 hours)
The transaction gets the time from your computer's clock so I believe your computer clock is set ahead of actual time
can you confirm ?

Yeah. I think I got issues with my PC time which I have tried to fix and yet not working. Its always telling me 9hrs , even on Facebook. How can I fix this?

Thanks for the reply I can't really help you with setting up your computer's time (maybe set it to manual would be a solution ?)

As for your fund transfer its easily solvable.

Don't try to send a new transaction as you will get the same exact problem (unless you correct your computers clock)
The long number you pasted is the signed transaction and just needs to be broadcasted.
The signed transaction time is already passed so it should be accepted by the network right now.
Anyone can send/broadcast this transaction and it can't be modified (as its already signed and if modified the signature will not verify).

You can easily do it from the web interface going to web wallet menu > broadcast.
You don't need to use your email/pass to login you can just go straight to broadcast panel.
Paste the transaction in the textbox and after pressing submit you should get a txid which means you are all set.

For the near future we are planning already a change in how the web wallet is calculating the transaction time and this will effectively resolve problems relating to computers with wrong clock date/times

6  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is Exodus a safe desktop wallet alternative? on: January 31, 2018, 06:52:19 PM
For exodus
Does one have to sync each individual blockchain ?
I assume no it probably works like a web wallet/light wallet right ?
7  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 26, 2018, 10:04:05 PM
Merit is indeed a positive thing in this forum and very welcome to see it and will definetelly help with the quality.

I think though that it would be fairer to start everyone's merit not with the required merit for their RANK (as it did)
but by interpolating their post count between their required merit and the next RANK's required merit
because right now someone just a few posts away from next rank is treated as if they have just entered their RANK

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin loses all its value what will happen to altcoins ? on: January 19, 2018, 03:32:23 PM
I have a feeling that in 2018 will see Bitcoin even out its marketcap with all the rest of the top coins
and more money will also flow into less undervalued coins that have working products or promise to have products ready this year
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Financial_Privacy/SuperNET_Core/InstantDEX/PAX/Divs on: January 19, 2018, 03:30:24 PM
Hey guys I need help please

I did send my BTCD's from Bittrex to the iOS wallet that I have download with Firefox from the Komodo website thinking that I was still on time for the KMD switch thing.  I used the receiving address of my wallet which was not sync yet.

I have now tried to make it sync by adding the .conf file but it still won't sync. I don't know what to do.

Are my BTCD's lost?  Undecided
How can I sync/send back to an exchange? (the snapshot is done already right?)

thanks for your help

You can probably send them to an exchange that still has BTCD for trading (bittrex / poloniex)
the explorer still records a few blocks per hour https://www.blockexperts.com/btcd
so if you hurry up you might just get them exchanged
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA [ICO] | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: January 19, 2018, 03:28:35 PM
Hey guys, if I have 2000 token and withdraw only 1000 to My ERC20 wallet now is that OK or do I have to withdraw all to the ERC20 wallet now ?

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to withdraw or not ?

as far as i know ,you should withdraw all tokens to your erc20 wallet ,when mainnet launch ,you can swap 1:1

Its not clear how to do it
only received the email to do it from their website
but the instructions were not clear and nowhere to put my MEW address

is there any guide or announcement all the last posts I think are wondering about this very same thing
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin loses all its value what will happen to altcoins ? on: January 14, 2018, 10:10:27 PM
I think that if bitcoin loses, the price of altcoin will increase. It is general situation for the cryptocurrency. Be patient if we have many bitcoins now because the price is low  Roll Eyes

I think this is what is happening for the last 2-3 months

https://ico.komodoplatform.com/

its down again ? says refused to connect.

The SWAP was on for more than a year
and the last swap was supposedelly until the 8th but they kept it until 12th of Junuary I think
now its not possible anymore ... you might be able to traded on bittrex before the value drops
and before the network comes to a halt https://www.blockexperts.com/btcd
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA [ICO] | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: January 14, 2018, 10:05:44 PM
Hello, sorry for stupid question...

Trying to withdraw tokens from https://check.universa.io/withdraw
But there is no any address in the form. Only email and password...
Where those tokens will be withdrawn?

I think that in the next few weeks there will be big problems with the tokens. No one has information on how the tocans come to the private wallet. it comes from the devs no information how it works. that will certainly be as disaster as electroneum

I believe they should post somewhere what we are expected to do with the tokens in universa.io
otherwise the email is not clear what to do and here there is no help it seems
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Financial_Privacy/SuperNET_Core/InstantDEX/PAX/Divs on: January 13, 2018, 06:25:55 AM
Do you listed your coin on Binance??? I can not find it there.

Only KMD is listed in Binance
What does KMD coin have to do with BTCD?

well KMD is doing the FINAL swap from your BTCD to KMD  with a 1:47 ratio
if you have BTCD you better login to https://ico.komodoplatform.com
and start your swap, after you send the swap you have to put your KMD address and use the PAYOUT tab to get them out
payout will be done on 15th of January and the blocks are generated fast enough at the moment https://www.blockexperts.com/btcd
so if you have BTCD need to hurry

EDIT: it seems the ico website is not accepting any more BTCD so be warned
