Provide an image.

I'm absolutely certain that would be a restricted image under the NDA. 100% sure.

Edit - thefunkybits reported.

He said miners shipped. No NDA for a couple pics possible at this point. BTW, what possible NDA would block a pic of a chip that is gong to be (supposedly) public once shipments arrive?

Has anything actually happened to prompt this latest bout of complaints or is this just business as usual?
Business as usual. I think it is dawning on us that there isn't much left to hold on to. There is no way to prove any shares are ours, there is no way to prove a shareholder agreement exists, we can't trade, we don't know where the chips are or how far they are from being delivered, and the days keep rolling by.

I do believe somewhere I keep reading 16-18 weeks on new chips. Seems to be other supporters that I can't trace to evidence again....

Empathy is lacking in this thread - swap shoes with Ken, then consider how you'd react to the vitriol flooding in from a minority of investors and non-investors who completely drown out the rest of us.
... by providing detailed updates. Or at least close to it. He never mentions what kind of delay, or even what the estimated setback in time would be. They just edit the webpage and remove shipping information and say the word delay. I would love to see why people put so much faith into the sporadic and general details that are given out as it is. His linkedin profile is a joke for a CEO of 3 companies. 2 being get rich quick schemes.

Gah.. It is January, where the hell are our shares?

you mean where the hell is anything!?!? chips, shares or anything!?!

You mean a picture of 40 cases and a general, no details update was not gold to you?
Glad not everyone is ban-wagoned that has invested.

@pankkake, your Ignore link is highlighted, and its the only one. Is that a present from the mods, cause it sure is funny from what I've read on the forums.

What do you think hacking is?  The actual laws broken were "unauthorized access to computers and computer networks."  If you know that you don't belong on a system (like being B&), and you get on the system anyway (unlawful access), you could be V&.  Find out about that, it's kind of creepy.  Google it.
Again, I'm not saying that anyone will go after some kid d*cking around on a forum, but the laws are there.  No need to bring China into this.

*Getting B& is not a crime, but logging on after being banned is.  Just because something is a crime doesn't mean that you will surely get punished, only that you *could*, if things go wrong.  And i'm pretty sure you knew what i meant without me typing an essay about it.

Holy hell thanks for the laugh. There is no hacking going on by joining a forum over and over. None. There could be charge pressed if they accessed the admin panel and removed the ban, and you could prove it; or they are making some kind of death threats and the like. There is no illegal activity in being a troll on a forum. You have to ban the IP and so forth to mitigate the trolls/spambots and so forth.

I would love to see a case where a forum owner sued a troll tho. That would be classic.
FYI, here you go since you were too lazy to link it yourself.

It's not against the law but it is almost definitely against your ISP's ToS to use their network to evade bans and if bitcointalk cared enough to email abuse@yourisp.com they can warn you/suspend your service if you're a repeat offender. It's the internet equivalent of trespassing.

Source: used to mod a forum with 20,000+ active users and contacted ISP's regularly

LOL, no ISP cares unless its blatant harassment or physical threats. Even threats to DoS and so forth will have to have proof before they even send you a letter in the mail let alone try to suspend your account. Source: Not in a pissing match, but yes I've been around on both sides.

Your imagination serves you well and your instinct is spot on.  Ken will most certainly be holding back until after we are trading.  Wink

Why?
Would you somehow benefit trading BEFORE shipments?
If there is hardware shipping, wouldn't that legitimize the entire business and bring in many more customers and revenue to the shareholders?
Wouldn't forcing you to watch your money grow before he let you sell out be more beneficial to him and you?
148  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 03, 2014, 01:55:05 AM
While it would be great if it were  ACtM hardware, it doesn't matter at the end of the day. Ken is still close to assembling and shipping our hardware and he just said we are going to have a great year ahead. I'm more than happy with that assessment - from the man who has the details.

What do you consider close, and how do you justify the lack of details to believe the little information provided?
149  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 02, 2014, 10:45:21 PM
So because he denies the name, it must be true? Your logic if put to the test:
acknowledgement == true but skeptic
denial == true by denial
Well that explains religion, but doesn't actually have ties to reality.
Sure it is weird that he never heard of the name, but in no way either denying the name nor knowing the name constitutes the tides moving in and out more than owning an arbitrary mining pool. He stated he knows the owner but will neither confirm nor deny the owner. It was a redirect no doubt, but not answering does not logically make it true.

The lack of information as to where the actual units/chips/shares/etc is the one thing you should be concerned about. As Jo said, if they do exist and its being hidden, they are mining for pure profit before slowly shipping out units for max profit.

Surprisingly you are not a sock of Crumbs,

Please keep us up to date with your refund process.

Oddly enough I do understand your reference to the mass of clones of said person, but never saw the original posts.
I actually got 2 replies on the refund since I contacted them on multiple levels.
Both with no details other than they wanted my address that is already linked to my account and shipping address.... Will be sure to post on updates.

The amount of shareholders in here is scary. Quit fluffing and quantifying the poor updates and 'news'. I have read no real reason people are backing Ken other than the fact they are a share holder. Please do not reply or retort if you have money to lose if this company goes under. I have money to lose as well since I ordered and requested a refund. I have lost my little remaining faith in these updates after coming here from watching the site for any news.

Even being a CEO (loose term here for owning a "business"), there is a responsibility if you are also the PR person. I guarantee even a decent PR person would have made the company double even with this many delays. He is not running some 5k employee Forbes 7000 business. It is what, 5 guys? The responses from the company are so lack luster that even drive thru fast food people give you a better status.
152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VMC] Official Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion on: January 01, 2014, 02:32:37 PM
I've sent in a request for a refund (29/12). I will let people know how the whole process goes.

I did as well.
I have received a reply, but still need to wait to see if the refund actually comes to my house since that seems to be their preferred method.
153  Other / Beginners & Help / [VMC] refund email received on: December 31, 2013, 09:49:38 PM
Since I am not yet able to reply to other treads, I am posting here since I have lurked a long time.

On the other threads of VMC, I have received a reply on my request to get a refund. As to how long this is going to be, I do not know, but I figured I would post about it here first.
As to my stance on this, I could not decipher the onslaught of random posts on VMC and gave it a chance since I ordered under the 'end of Nov' ship dates. The weirdness and lack of replies, I decided to pull out and request the refund.

I will put this into the other thread once I am able to post there along with a screenshot/email for others if they wish.
