Hmm... I'm definitely keeping up with the network, but haven't mined anything since I updated to the new version (over an hour ago).  Am I alone in that?

looks like we're on the wrong chain.

it was forked?

This is where I'm at:

Did you mine solo from 17279 to 24184??? What's happening? My chain is not updating.

OP has updated the daemon. You need to compile it again. Then you'll see that we're only at block 17279. I need new nodes of people using the new daemon. Thanks

I'm running the new version.

Post your conf file please

Windows wallet is outdated.

Anyone can post new nodes? Everyone is mining on the outdated version of the daemon...

Perhaps fanta, Sarah, haggis and others would not be so upset at losing the higher bombs if they had at least had the chance to take part in the lower ones and made some profit.

You could of course just stop fucking cheating to solve the problem too.  Ive watched you do it for two straight weeks on almost every bomb, then stop when the bombs get higher.  How's about you play the game now, buy a lot and take the risks with the higher amountsseeing as you give nobody else a chance with the smaller ones.

I won next to nothing in the past week. I missed LOT 1 and 2, played LOT 3, missed the beginning of LOT 4 because RedCoin put a new token thing. I made less than 100k on LOT 4, btw.

I'm not the only *cheater*, that I can assure you. There's two other guys called 'CCC' and 'pavel' who both are perhaps even better than I am. I couldn't beat them once..

When will the coin be released? You should take down the source to prevent further premine..

Anyone want to be extra helpful and explain how to compile the wallet on linux, and set up solomining?

I cloned the gitbub repo and just compiled it:

Code:
git clone https://github.com/Devianttwo/Electric
cd Electric
qmake "USE_UPNP=-"
make -j8

If you get error, you may be missing some development software installed. What linux distro are you using?

If missing packages, for Debian, you need to install following packages to compile most coin clients:

libqt4-dev
qt4-dev-tools
qt4-qmake
libboost-filesystem-dev
libboost-program-options-dev
libboost-thread-dev
libboost-system-dev
libboost-dev
libdb++-dev

Fro Ubuntu the list should be probably the same. For other distros, look for similarly named packages and install them Smiley
Thanks for the help.  I've done all of the above but can't figure out how to run it haha.

(Assuming you unzipped the dir in your home dir)

# cd ~/Electric-master/src
# ./Electric -daemon

make sure to put your .conf file in ~/.Electric/Electric.conf

Sadly if people like y3804 are going to constantly cheat the games like coinbomb, then it will be an uphill struggle.  How many times will honest players like fanta, deviant or haggis have to lose a few million while tossers like him cheat the website before people are turned off thinking the whole thing is a giant scam.

If its to be considered a coin to have fun and play with, the very last thing that is needed is cheats like him.

Although redcoin has done a lot of work (and I've had several pm chats about these cheats), they still continue.  Unfortunately its probably best if the game were halted after the current round until a permanent fix against these dickheads is found.  Captcha on the buy button page or something.  They are spoiling this game for anyone who wants to play fair with this coin.  If they are cheating at that, then how can anyone trust them not to cheat other games or even other people.

*cheating. The methods I use are so basic anyone with a browser could do it. It's not a *cheat*. A firefox addon, alright? We all have our tips and tricks.

And yes, a Captcha would absolutely solve everything. I don't even know why RedCoin STILL didn't implement a captcha. It's the only working solution.

And Fanta, Sarah and Haggis all bought the bomb about 20 hours later. It's their fault

What is the current diff?

Worth mining with a 300kh/s rig? That's all I have access to right now

Please answer. I have another coin to mine
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LOTTO COIN - The coin thats a game! Released 12/12/13 on: January 02, 2014, 10:56:05 PM
bought back in 48 to secure and not worried its dropped... holding on to my 20 million :-)
think about it...

lotto tickets are usually $1 dollar each (£2 in the UK for a national lottery ticket)... if marketed as THE LOTTO ticket coin and they only go up to 10 cents each thats $2,000,000 or if you hold 2Mil... $200,000... not bad if you bought at around 28 and it cost you 1 bitcoin.

OK so you don't have the mega payouts prizes of the national lottery's to get people interested in paying a dollar but sticking a 10 cent piece in a slot machine is nothing so at 10 cents a LOT or playing a game where you spend 1 LOT= 10 cents is where we want to be... marketed from that angle and LOT would go to the moon...

By the way I registered CHIPScoin.com and CHIPScoin.org if anyone wants to help me launch a coin that represents a casino chip.

DEVS get in touch please :-)

Thats exactly where I see it - about 10c each. Look at WDC..hit 85c each from just 1c only a few mths prior.

There's a huge supply of LOT... 10c really is speculation

trollvn crushing all the blocks  Embarrassed isn't he the guy with over 100Mhash?

Also now I'm getting the msg "Worker temporarily banned"

100 mh/s guy getting in early can own the whole currency for the rest of its lifetime. Depends on how the block rewards develop of course.

This isn't really working is it? I mean, if a guy can come in with 100 mh/s from the start, he basically owns the currency.

The pool shows that he only have 30 mh/s

It's becuase he has many rejects. 30mh/s of successful blocks

what the hell is going on with coinbomb that it doesn't support firefox anymore?

For firefox, all you need is an user agent switcher (Firefox addon, click here). Set it to IE/Chrome/Opera, and it should let you in just fine.

This makes the website think you're using another browser (IE/Chrome/Opera/we). You still get the advantage this way.

thanks for that. I've installed but where is the icon where I can set the browser?

Press alt then go in tools. If its not there, it should be at the same level as your address bar, completely at the right end of it

It Works!
Thanks again!

yeah the website owner isn't really smart... blocking a browser is definitely not the way to go
