Has anybody already registered a German domain for NEM? If not I could take a look at it as there seems to a bit of interest already and I have some domain slots open at my provider anyhow.

Agreed, there need to be other factors as well.

I only think if we end up with far less users than planned and instead have lots of users which hold 10-50 stakes each, then this this will hurt NEM a lot.
I just had a look into the registration thread and it is a bit worrying to me to see that 80% of the users who buy in there are brandnew accounts.

On the plus side I think NEM has a very promising team of people who are driving the coin development and also the community seems to built up nicely with some active people at this stage already.

I aggree that the initial plan is very appealing. In this case I will create an account for my s/o which I would use to buy one more share of NEM for her.
Hopefully people will keep it fair and square and not abuse the forum to buy multiple stakes for themselves too much. A fair distribution is one of the most important factors for NEM in my opinion.

Due to being very busy at work currently, I could not stay up to date on all of the discussion:
I've been onboard with NEM directly when I read about the idea because it sounded like something I was looking for since getting into crypto currencies. Now with the higher prices I think it would be fair to acquire another spot (not taking away two cheap spaces).

Are we allowed to buy a second stake of NEM if we are already on the stakeholder list once? From what I read it is ok two buy two, one for myself and one for a loved one. Would it be ok to buy in a second spot from my btct account which is already enlisted once?

The realistic looking coins are based on a set of templates that I have available and tried to play around with. I am not a graphics designer, but I found it interesting that people seemed to like the designs more, the more you move away from those templates and just create something more simplistic from the spot.

Maybe a general comment regarding the 8 line design:
What I really like about it is how easy it is to reproduce. I mean, even a child could sketch it onto a sidewalk easily. I think this would be a big plus for a major movement.

Therefore I would also be interested in what a professional designer could get out of it. Maybe somebody professional like play4ce could give it a go as well.

Those look really professional executed and presented, well done! I also really like the whole look of the promotional picture.. I've got a lot to learn! 

I like the cyan logo best, as I think it would be the most recognizable and also I find it easy on the eyes.

This evening I will eventually come around to add the pure logo without the coin design. I would create two versions, one with the longer "E" and one with the shorter one as it was proposed by hydkyll.

No worries. I specifically made a flat design as it was desired by most people. Personally I also like things a bit more flashy.
I am not a designer by any means but I have learnt quickly now that it is impossible to make everybody 100% happy.

Thanks for your honest feedback. I think I got stuck a bit on some of the elements in that design.

Yes it is not perfectly aligned, I have tried to keep it simply and reproducable by using the arial unicode ms font. I will check this evening if there are nicer options to align the lines.

I am not really a fan of flat designs to be honest, but I will create a flat version as well when I am home again.

As for the 8 lines, I think one nice thing about it is that you can easily reproduce it, as the "trigram for heaven" character (☰) is part of unicode charsets:

I think gold might not have been the best choice, so I have tried my best to modernize the proposal a bit.

For someone who is not an expert on details it would be nice to sum up some comparsions for the different client options in the initial post.

What about a lightweight local client like DUB which has recently be released for digitalcoin?

It is a fantastic project and I think it really marks another milestone for DGC.
I have found a few display bugs on my Mac, but as this is still a very early version I am very positive that those will be cleaned out at some point. Will wait for the update on Saturday and then check again.

I registered somewhere on the first 20 pages but did not hear back.. it would be good to conduct a list of people who got in in the different stages, maybe on the main post. Additionally of course you could also send a PM as a confirmation.
In order to motivate people to spread the word and contribute to the project I think it is important to involve them.
