61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 28, 2018, 01:54:21 AM
all crypto currency market is going down following bitcoin price, if someone have confidence to invest in ae so this is the best time to get in. aeternity will stands by it's own blockchain and after mainnet launched already we will see the real value if it  Cool

I believe in that the smart investors will choose AE as it has all of things which go towards success:
new technology;
qualified dev team;
famous leader;

Waiting for the fly of AE.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Media is negative about Bitcoin? on: May 27, 2018, 03:53:24 AM
I think one reason is that the guys who wrote the news on the old media don't have Bitcoin!
That's why they wrote the negative news always!

Some new media related to or supported by crypto groups are always friendly to Bitcoin.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: May 27, 2018, 03:02:13 AM
I heard from somewhere that Bitcoin Gold was attacked and hacked by a lot of money. Is that true?
What's the problem of BTG? Is there any bug?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will reach $ 2500 on: May 26, 2018, 09:01:15 AM
A price of $2500 seems to me quite possible, taking into account the great strength that ethereum has shown over the years, and that has taken it to occupy the second place in the preference of investors.

It is true that apparently there are several cryptocurrencies that have recently emerged to dispute ethereum its predominance in the market of smart contracts such as NEO and EOS, however I am convinced that ethereum has a well-deserved prestige for its powerful team of developers in which Vitalik shines with its own light.
This year is the year of fruits and drinks. There has been hot news by many ETH experts that ETH will go high because the market is turning towards the equilibrium position again and whenever that happens, the values of ETH go high. They say the demand of ETH is higher than before and this rise in the demand will rise the value of ETH beyond even $5ooo. And here I am holding my ETH and waiting for the fortune to strike.

The present fact is that the price of Ethereum is approaching $500. Most of people expect that Ethereum will rise dramatically like in last year as it has a huge demand. However , don't forget that there are several public chains will be released soon which may replace the position of Ethereum.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: May 26, 2018, 08:57:09 AM
Bought few EOS today, will hodl it for some free airdrops atleast. This project will beat cardano, Neo and other wannabes hands down.

That's what only you think. I guess that the price will drop as soon as the release of main net.
I will buy in that time than now.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: May 25, 2018, 12:40:58 AM
Once the futures hit $5.46, I was googling for the next BS lawsuit news story. What damages are they going to seek if they can sell their Tezos at 12 to 100 times the purchase price.
Lawsuits doesn't make any sense even if price is under ICO price. There was no promise whatsover during ICO regarding release, estimated period was 5 month but it clearly stated that it may take a lot longer and if someone expects exact release date they should not invest. So this whole thing is just an intentional FUD.

That's exactly true. Don't forget you agree with the ICO rule when you invested in it: You were just DONATING your money to the foundation, who has none responsibility for investments.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ETT]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B [Suspicious link removed]munications infrastructure on: May 24, 2018, 01:56:51 PM
really like this project and investment

Are you Blind?
Read before you post!

Or, I have some tokens. I can sell you all of them if you "really like" this project and investment.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SCAM! on: May 24, 2018, 01:52:35 PM
I was invited by a friend of a friend to invest in Bitcoin last year. He told me that if I invest 5000 in our currency it will be doubled in a month's time. He also promised me that I will get referral fees and override from every person I introduced to Bitcoin and that prices of Bitcoin are expected to increase. To make the story short I did not join because I believe its a pyramiding scam. Truth to be told I did my research on Bitcoin after that and it turn's out that Bitcoin's price was really on rise unfortunately I did not invest at that time. Currently I'm learning more thru this forum and I thank my friend for inviting me here. Just last December I heard from one of my friends that the company they joined was in fact a pyramiding scam and the money they invested in just vanished out of thin air together with the people who invited them. We should be wary of people offering investments and opportunities to us. Do your research. Opportunity comes with risks as well as the rewards. If its too good to be true, it might be a scam. Bitcoin is not a SCAM but there are people who uses Bitcoin to SCAM other people. Good luck to us and more power to Bitcoin!

Bitcoin is just a name which the scammers used to scam innocent.
All thing like "your investment will be doubled or tripled within some time" are scams. No doubt about it.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 23, 2018, 01:15:31 PM
Exactly, this is possibly the worst time to sell.

The question is who is selling?
It is a big jump today. I don't know what kind of negative news affect the whole market.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: May 23, 2018, 01:12:05 PM
Miramare: Which point are you stuck at?

Last step when I tried to make.
It is said the same ssl problem.
I didn't update gcc and boost to the latest version, which I should have a try when I have free time.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: May 22, 2018, 12:16:09 AM
In the beginning I also struggled with spectre requirement of newer openssl (1.1.0) than is in CentOS I have on VPS. Gandalf's advice to use older version which builds with openssl 1.0.1 helped me, unfortunately I can't find page he referred.
But basically it was this:
git clone https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre
git checkout v1.3.5

I had to get over a few other issues, like install newer version of gcc (7.2.1 which supports C++14 standard - see RPM package devtools-7-runtime) and also build Boost C++ library (distro version didn't work, don't remember exact reason).

Finally I didn't know how to run it. Dunno is it is the best way, but I run it with -cli parameter under tmux console multiplexer.
When I ran it as daemon, I couldn't figure out how to connect to it to issue commands.
Also I needed to create .spectrecoin/spectrecoin.conf in my home dir where I enabled staking and set rpcpassword.
I wonder if there is a tutorial or comprehensive doc about this all (how to configure and run spectre without GUI). I didn't find any - I put everything together from pieces I googled out.

Thank you so much. I used Ubuntu 16.04 and tried with older version v1.3.5. But I can't make it work yet.
@mandica, could you please help make a wallet of any linux version? The present README.md seems not work for us.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 21, 2018, 12:25:30 AM
AE is a good project and should be tied to the dollar, and not to the manipulator bitcoin that bets the price, it should not be so that the price of the AE does not depend on him.

I don't think it is a good idea that AE should not relate to Bitcoin. Actually, nearly all of crypto coins are paired to Bitcoin. Unless in some day, some new coin will take over of the position of Bitcoin.
Dollar, as one of FIAT, is not the natural equivalent for cryptocurrency.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: May 20, 2018, 11:55:09 PM
I was able to build linux client from source and run it on VPS. Unfortunately the client is somewhat greedy on memory, it consumes more than half GB.
Nevertheless it is staking and I already received some stakes.

@TaylorCZ, would you do me a favor to share the experience to install the Linux client on VPS? Following the instruction (README.md), I always got an error when making. Looks like some ssl errors. But I indeed installed 1.1.0h version of openssl.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: May 20, 2018, 08:14:52 AM

Sold my last 700 XSPEC at a 20% loss. Beware any new speculators, this shitcoin is a scam
It was a very big mistake.
 Wink

I am pretty sure in the early days of Monero or Dash (called Blackcoin at the time) the situation was similar; uncertainty, scam accusations, prices going over a dollar then below and so on....now those two coins are worth 200-500$.

when the sky is blue and sun is shining, a coin with a market cap of just 21 million will be worth over 100$...then it is too late to make money. "buy on the cannons, sell on the trumpets" and be ready to lose your investment.

I'd still like to see a deliverable, like a new version of the wallet... Wink

21mil market cap is too high for this coin.

I still believed in this coin, even I have sold most of them. You know, the coin reached the 100million market cap.
The reason I sold most of them is that I can't have a working and sync wallet since last September (as my country banned the Tor or something related).
While I tried to install the linux wallet on an oversea VPS, I can't make it a success.
I checked it that there was no a linux release so far. (since v.1.3.5?)

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing Platform on: May 20, 2018, 08:09:01 AM
Command. What are the prospects of the coin? I bought a few months ago, and I see that my assets do not grow, but on the contrary - they melt.

That happens to nearly all of coins if you bought them a few months ago.
If you want your crypto assets only to grow, please stop doing it.
Quit and put your money into the bank.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency on: May 19, 2018, 01:06:58 AM
Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency. These figures are noteworthy, but if the value of a single Bitcoin goes up to $15,000, India’s currency Rupee will pass. Ethereum ranked 17th and Bitcoin Cash ranked 20th. Ripple is located just below 20.
How many years Bitcoin will need to become No.1 ?

The popularity and usage of Bitcoin is far less than the FIAT listed here so far.
Unlike the FIAT, the shown bitcoin value is only the "market cap" which have no support and have the risk to be zero.

This is the link for Discord of Spectrecoin:

In our community there are kind people waiting for you, to answer your questions.

https://github.com/XSPECOfficial/spectre
Is this the official source?

I download from it and tried to install on Ubuntu 16.04 following the instructions in the README.md.
However, I got errors in the last step: make.

When will the linux wallet be released?

The official source of Spectrecoin is this:

https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre

You should see the README.md file here:

https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/blob/master/README.md

Now I can not give you a specific date, but at the current work rate, it will soon be available.

Totally following the instruction in the README.md file, I still got the errors:
"/usr/include/boost/asio/ssl/detail/impl/engine.ipp:221:9: error: ‘SSL_R_SHORT_READ’ was not declared in this scope          ERR_PACK(ERR_LIB_SSL, 0, SSL_R_SHORT_READ),"
Is that the problem of SSL?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing Platform on: May 18, 2018, 07:10:09 AM
all good, but we dont know the ROI for being masternode ...
Sonm is a non-mineable cryptocurrency.
On the basis of that, ROI will depends on the network usage. The more deals(txs) will going through network, the more roi(fee) you will get. With the increasing popularity of sonm network ROI would be a huge. However, it's clear that this won't happen overnight.

The buying of enough SONM for a master node is some kind of risk now. It will worth the buying if SONM will succeed in the future, while if it is not popular the investment will be in a loss.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing Platform on: May 17, 2018, 12:24:33 AM
Nice so there's two types of masternodes...just got mentioned at Consensus. So one is 100k and the other 500k ...too much for me. Congrats to those that can afford it. Sure bet retirement plan  Smiley
I can't afford it either, With rising price it's even harder to get 100k+ SONM. Well, I hope there will be pool or something for small holders to combine their SONM to earn by just holding.  Wink
$0,285562 USD (-17,11%)
0,00003441 BTC (-14,93%)
0,00040911 ETH (-15,41%)

Why did the price fall by 15% of the BTC price? I think the price will rise with this news. Anybody have an answer I can understand.

Does it mean it is a good time to buy more?  Grin Grin
For being a masternode, at least 100k+ SONM are required? That's a lot, more than 3 bitcoins now.
