221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: March 10, 2018, 01:13:42 PM
I read this thread from time to time... and it is always the same. People doesn't get that Byteball is not about price, value or anything except an experiment in testing what would happen if all (previously assumed) good crypto market practices (such as decentralization and trust) were blatantly ignored. As such, it is doing a great job in testing and confirming they were in fact the way to go.

I can't get your points. After the total distribution ending, it can be treated as decentralization. However, you are right, it is not now.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚽ XFCCOIN ▐ Fantasy Football Manager Revolution!▐Swap and exchange open ⚽ on: March 09, 2018, 09:24:19 AM
***

hopefully it would really attract people's attention. Im hoping that ti will be listed in other exchange

I have loaded up something patience in crypto is key. Maybe things goes slow in our view but goes in good direction we have exchange all who belive in coin can go in and buy.
Maybe is not perfect for dump but is ready to buy coins at cheap prices.
Now when they will have project moving I hope for WC Cheesy pump haha.
Buy in silent sell in buzz guys. Will see how it will end

But you still need to understand the feeling of the investors.
If they keep their invested BTC since ICO, they have already gained over 5 times profit (in dollar).

Hello, why is spreadsheet of Bounty campaign not calculated? Spectiv is scam? March! There is still no news.

You are just a FUDer. Don't spend one second on the reading and research and accuse a project as a scam. There are a lot of news!!
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: March 09, 2018, 09:16:22 AM
The Tezos Foundation announced Friday that it is seeking to hire more developers to be based out of Paris.
The new hires will help the Foundation "advance its primary objective" of developing the Tezos protocol, as well as to promote it to potential users, the group announced in a statement.
"The Foundation is providing increased resources and support to expand the core development team of Tezos in Paris," the Foundation explained. "This will further expand this world-class team to approximately 35-40 individuals. Recruitment is already underway."

No bad, right? It means at least it is not totally dead yet.
When will we get the coin launched as they promised before ICO?
All liars should be sent to hell.  Angry

No, it's not dead at all. And things are getting hotter these days with the solved foundation issue, and this kind of news.

let's say it is possible to survive from the death.  The situation is getting better. But we can only say its alive till the main net is launched.

Hello everyone!

The new ępps update has been published! The ępps team worked hard to finalize two fundamental resources for the ęternity ępps ecosystem: aepps.com and dev.aepps.com. They are (quite obviously) created to serve the need of two different types of users: consumers (since we used "users" just before Smiley ) and developers.

Have a look at the blog post and visit the portals. Any feedback you may have will be appreciated! You can provide feedback at any of our channels.

ĘPPS UPDATE: BEGINNING OF MARCH

After your dive in the ępps portals, have a look at another ęternity inspired work of art. Smiley

Kind regards,
The AE Team

Frequent updates! Good job, AE dev team.

You may look backward on this thread. Or you can trace the posts by tony. In somewhere, he presented his idea about the next round distribution.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RLC] iEx.ec blockchain-based distributed cloud announces its Crowdsale on: March 08, 2018, 02:24:42 PM
I didn't see anything to be worried about as iExec has no mention anywhere in that article which was referred at STK platforms vulnerabilities about Intel. They are working well and this kind of finding will be helpful for team iEXec RLC to look at there platform more carefully. RLC is most advance project among others trying to solve these issues.

Sure but I'd like an official statement about RLC team concerning this potential hack.
All their software relies on SGX security, and the SpecterSGX attack make it useless.

Can any dev team members give some comments on these?  If not, there will make the investors worry about the future of RLC.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: March 08, 2018, 02:21:37 PM
Do we have an official roadmap for 2018?

Yes, it is on the project homepage. https://spectreproject.io/roadmap

But normally, the progress will delay than the roadmap. That's also one reason  the FUDers doubt about the jbg.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: March 07, 2018, 03:30:04 PM
Posted in our discord community late yesterday by @jbg .....pretty much speaks for itself.

"I have a short update regarding project structure. Even before I needed to take some time off, I had been discussing with a number of longstanding community members about expanding the core team and formalising some kind of "governance" over the project. Given that me taking 10 days off caused such a large disruption, it's clear that these changes need to happen quickly so that the project can keep its momentum even if one member needs to take time off. We now have an idea of what we'd like this to look like, and I'd like to share this with you all. First, we're going to officially grow the core team to include several more people, including at least one more developer but also people with project management and marketing skills. @Mandica is also back in good health and will be participating actively in the core team again. Second, we are introducing bounties to encourage much wider participation in the development of the project. This will be managed via GitHub Issues - anybody will be able to "claim" an issue and upon their successful completion of it, the bounty will be paid to them. This will be funded from the staking donations. I'm working on identifying the areas where I think bounties can be best applied and will create issues soon, but I'd also like to encourage anybody who has ideas for fixes or improvements to propose bounties. The core team will select the bounties that will be funded from staking donations, but anybody can fund a bounty if we don't select it and they want it to be worked on. We hope that these changes will "decentralise" development more effectively and also increase our rate of progress. A specific update about v1.4 will follow in the next days."

"once the core team is in place I want to hand control of incoming donations over to a designated person who will manage the bounties and make results-based payments to me and Bryce as well as fund anything else that needs funding. This designated person will be chosen by the core team collectively, in a public and transparent way, and will be some longstanding, well-known community member. I want to make this change for several reasons, (1) I think philosophically a clean separation of the funding and the development is a good idea, (2) the constant accusations directed at me are taking a significant toll on my wellbeing and my ability to work effectively, and hopefully this will help, (3) the designated person should be able to more clearly weigh the various needs for funding (marketing, core developers, bounties, maybe exchange listing fees, etc) rather than having it managed by a developer with a more narrow view of the project."

"I've now received messages from 8 promising developers, so the odds of expanding the development team are looking good."

Absolutely positive to the project. The price reflects the response of investors.
Stop dumping and keep watching.
Peoples expect to have a new change.

Does Footbalcoin plan to pay dividends to holders of tokens in XFC? This is could to raise price of XFC, in my opinion.

Interesting suggestion, but not for the time being as it is not really a form of ownership in the company. However, the rising popularity if the game should increase the value of XFC.

What I require is to sell some players cards I don't use any more.
As no much active players and so many cards available from the public sell, it is hard for me to sell my cards.

Hello everyone,

The above blatant ICO promotion (Savedroid) has been reported to the forum moderator. We don't appreciate things like that.

Mainnet launch is scheduled for Q2, 2018. We don't have a specific date yet. It depends on the progress of our amazing dev team.

On another note, the new dev update is here. It is focused primarily on oracles and APIs.

READ ON THE BLOG

Have a look at this ęternity-inspired art at Twitter Smiley More to come.

We have uploaded the lectures from the London Erlang meetup. They were quite interesting and we urge anyone who isnterested in what are we doing, why and how to watch them.

More news is coming up.

Kind regards,
The AE team

Yes. The similar ad should be banned. That's very bad thing to spam the thread with those kind of posts.

The planned Q2 is not very far, isn't it?

"and to allow you to experience its features, we are sending you 72,000,000 Bytes (worth about $30)."
How to get that free 72Mbyte?
The 72MB are for Users that linked new BTC Address for the canceled March Airdrop and got never a airdrop before.
With Announcement of cancel the march airdrop the Transition Bot accepted no new linking addresses so so the user could not just easy install new wallet to get this 72MB
This little Airdrop was only for new Users since the last Airdrop.

That looks a placebo for a small amount people.

Any other great plan to distribute the left coins?

Sad to say but it looks like the fudders are winning right now with former investors dumping like crazy. All alts are down but this is even downer. Can we estimate when something solid will be released to quieten these fudsters? Days / weeks / months?

That's the bloody truth. My estimation is NEVER or sometime later. If still having hope, there should be at least months. The price will go downward to the deepest bottom, even lower than 1000 satoshi.

Version 0.1.7: Change log
https://medium.com/@encryptotel/version-0-1-7-change-log-1009917b96fc

Our relations with partners Mtel and CenterTelecom have proved to be very productive and continue to influence the shape of a product to come. Testing on real users helped us a lot with bug hunting (and we have found more than a few of them) and let us make improvements to our functional design. And so our humble log:

Implemented the Call Rules module;
Implemented the IVR module;
Basic encryption can now be enabled or disabled right from the dashboard;
Implemented a tariff plan change;
Fixed UX issues which occured during registration and password recovery;
Implemented file downloads in the Storage module;
It is now possible to add a contact from the address book to the black list;
Improved statistics;
Implemented notification message upon IP change (logged in from another device) during session;
Fixed registration issues and added proper error notifications;
Fixed editing of Ring Groups;
Fixed various small bugs;
I am very glad that ETT still alive and has steady progress.
Hope a bright future for ETT.

The addition of the exchange didn't have much impact on the price.We need global exchanges which have better liquidity and with mainnet launch, I sense a daily volume of over 500-1000btc per day.

I don't think AE can reach 1000btc volume on any exchanges before it can release its mainnet.
But if it do, it will easily have a huge trade volume, without any doubt.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: March 05, 2018, 01:08:46 PM
Nothing has really happened. My understanding is the Devs in general are late with updates, mainly because they have other real life concerns and are seemingly working on this project for free at the moment. So v 1.4 being late isn't a concern to me at all, especially since the main dev has explained his week long absence on the Discord channel.

The price drop seems to be in large part because of the above linked forum post calling XSpec a scam, and then using only a few lines of code to prove their point. What bothers me most is that while the code may be simpler than we expected, the devs aren't making off with millions of dollars of investors funds. THIS IS NOT A SCAM! It may not be the privacy changing coin we all expected, but to call it a "scam" is idiotic. A poor project would be much better English than calling it a scam, although I think the project is fine.

Personally I don't mind the FUD because I've been able to quadruple my XSpec holdings this weekend alone. The project is fine--stop letting price changes over short periods change your opinions. (Or keep panic selling to me, that's fine too!)

they are not working for free...they get about 6000 euros a month in donations. And they are supposedly working full time, but the github commits from last year doesn't reflect that. Yes there sooo many commits but if you look a bit into them other the the tor integration there is absolutely nothing! And even the tor integration has the firefox binaries just copied over. It's not a native one like advertised. So what have they been doing with all this time? Jesus, do you realize what two full time devs can accomplish in 1 year?

Doesn't change the fact that. Xspec is still here!
It's not going away.
And it's one of the best low priced privacy coins on the market.

correction: shadowcoin is still here. Xspec is shadowcoin with 1 dodgy guy that tries to convince us that there are two full time developers working on the project, while taking donations from everybody.

I'll eat my words when these two developers finally deliver some code that is more then a UI update or library upgrade.

You just can HOPE that two developers work hard and provide the community with the new code and great upgrade.
But what happened if not?

There appears to be a lot of FUD appearing in altcoin discussions and unfortunately people are starting to believe it due to the open source nature of github, and the fact that there are few commits and they offer very little in terms of actual development. My knowledge is limited so perhaps someone here can post a supportive explanation on this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3055715.0

A long research and a hard attack.
Jbg won't keep silent and should response it.
