This is a topic, not directly related to faircoin, but that can help sharing information this week:

(copy of statement I did today)

It has been made public that the "Human Rights Award" granted by the Barcelona Film and Human Rights Festival will be awarded to me next Thursday.

This award was awarded in 2012 to Amy Goodman, 2013 to Ada Colau, 2014 to Julian Assange and 2015 to Som Energia. It is an honor and a responsibility, to be the next after all these people and collectives in this year's edition.

I also congratulate the courage of the Festival, by awarding to a cause that does not have the support of the state, corporate and media powers.

After spending about 4 years away from home to defend my freedom, I have already paid more unfairly than any of the bankers who led us to the crisis we have now. It is time to create the circumstances that allow me to step back into Catalonia in freedom.

Beyond my personal situation, I think it is a great success to relate the denunciation of the current banking system with human rights, since the banking privilege of creating money implies an absolute penalty for social, economic and ecological rights.
This fact was already fully verified, giving rise to everything that came after the banking crisis and the economic crisis that has affected the majority of the population.

Congratulations Enric This is just the beginning

nice to see good stability at 4K. Lot of people trying to drop the value but nice to see it holding 4K
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] Faircoin2 published new white paper version!! on: July 15, 2016, 03:44:18 PM
the crowdfunding campaign is over right ?

https://coopfunding.net/en/campaigns/faircoin-2-crowdinvestment/

17,540.00€ not bad  Grin

It finished today!

There are more money by transfer and physical payments coming.
So, the final amount will be confirmed next days, and could be around 22000 euros....

quite good!  Cheesy

Already more than 23000 euros and still confirming some last!

Very good news Enric !!!

So what's the strategy now regarding these funds ?

This helps to finish the Faircoin 2 development,  as scheduled, and supports the faircoin price stability, and security for merchants
In that aspect of faircoin price we lived a big sellout of one main anonymous big holder, which has delayed the growth, but is good at medium and long term
because now that faircoins are  better distributed

And remember freedom coop launch in around two weeks!

gr8 looking forward to faircoin2 and freedom launch

47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] Faircoin2 published new white paper version!! on: June 28, 2016, 02:49:29 PM
Great news... Again Walls build buy walls Smiley Let idiots who dont care about Faircoin and just profit dump
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] Faircoin2 published new white paper version!! on: June 19, 2016, 12:57:49 AM
Would be great to update a richlist, because a lot of movements has happened from big holders last weeks.
I will update then also statistics, after I look at it  Smiley

Djeeez, it looks like a few big holders were just waiting for the Coopfunding buy walls just to dump their coins.
Didn't expect that...

We really need something to get people interested in FAIR again
Let's hope FAIR 2 will do the trick !

Do you have some marketing activity planned to accompany the FAIR 2 launch Smartaction ?
And what are you're expectations for it ?

I would say ONE, just one big holder, who dumped 800000 coins in 3 days
the positive side of that is:
- there are not more big holders with same amounts not involved in the community. Was the only one unknown guy with more than 1 milion.
- that one, would be more dangerous if dumped at bigger price...

We are doing an important work day by day and this is better that any marketing campaign

I Agree that guy seems to be one of the original members of Fair Coin. Though most of the original members dumped their fair coins .. Yeah it will be nice to know if there are still any unknown big bag holders.

I hope whatever percentage of that investment goes to biterex just creates some buy walls and not just buy from sell wall directly. We need some stability there and buy wall is really thin..
I think people might dump more as bitcoin price has increased a lot and may people want to cash out
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] Fairmarket online marketplace in faircoin. Beta version launched!! on: March 30, 2016, 01:05:05 AM

I think we should not be worried about Bittrex. Dosen't matter what price it is in bitterex. If someone is invested in Faircoin they should use services provided and create economy.

I've heard remarks like this before on this forum and I do have to say this worries me a little bit.
Bittrex is the only place where Faircoins can be traded openly, so to say that the Bittrex price doesn't matter sounds really wrong to me.
Economically speaking, the Bittrex price is the ONLY price that matters, since this is where supply and demand meet.
We are trying to build an economy here and not some communistic currency, of which the government says that is has a certain value, while the rest of the world disagrees.
So if the only place to spend your Faircoins against the amount you paid for it through GetFairCoin, is the Fairmarket, then what merchant will put their products on the Fairmarket ?? I think nobody, because they can get real money for their goods elsewhere.
So we really have to step away from this communistic way of thinking about an economy.
I think Faircoin should have an open economy with a socialistic mindset behind it.
Not some weird communistic economy where the government decides what the imaginary value of a currency is, while nobody in the rest of the world will actually buy the currency for that value.

So I really hope to see Faircoin traded in as many exchanges as possible and to create some real world demand for it by making the Fairmarket and other services as attractive as possible ! And I think the best way to make it attractive is to make sure that Faircoins are easily traded back and forth against other currencies.
So we need volume, realistic prices, easy access to buying and selling Faircoin against other currencies and reasons for people to use their Faircoins.

What do other people think about this ?
[/quote]

First of all Faircoin is just not for trading. Which other currency has a service like getfaircoin. LAst time the price was equal people took advantage of it and bought it from getfaircoin and sold it on bittrex and that was wrong. Also the difference in price is just few bitcoin which dosent really matter. If you want to invest in faircoin dont invest in it to become rich. This is not another shit altcoin get rich scheme. real people are using it.

As Enric mentioned earlier in the thread also people who participate in fairmarket dont need to worry about price in biettrex as they can use the same service to sell faircoin too..

A new 7 minutes Report  was pubished today in an Spanish television, by Vice.com
(that one: https://twitter.com/cero )

See: https://twitter.com/VICESPAIN/status/714533764643360768

They interviewed me about Faircoop and faircoin,
And showed how to buy faircoin in getfaircoin.net

It will be open in internet in two weeks.
And soon translated to english.

Good news !!
But I also think this means we really need to take responsibility here and finally lower the GetFairCoin price.
If new people hear about Faircoin and start buying some through GetFairCoin to support Faircoin and to invest in the Faircoin ecosystem, they should also get a FAIR price.
The market price on Bittrex has been much lower than the GetFairCoin price for a really long time now, so I think we should accept that the GetFairCoin price just isn't realistic at this time.
Whether we like it or not, in an open economy, supply and demand is what determines the price. Since the market price on Bittrex has been floating around 0.000035 BTC for a while now, I think the GetFairCoin price should be lowered to around 0.00005 BTC.
That way the new people who are enthousiastic about Faircoin and invest money in it through GetFairCoin, will also get a FAIR amount of Faircoin for their money.

I think we should not be worried about Bittrex. Dosen't matter what price it is in bitterex. If someone is invested in Faircoin they should use services provided and create economy.

minimum age is 21 days if transactions are more recent you simply can't mint

Thanks that makes sense
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] Faircoin Dev team launch Faircoin 2.0 White paper. PoC on: February 04, 2016, 12:53:43 PM
I started minting few days ago and it minted fine for 2 days but since last 3 days it has not minted anything is this normal.
I am sure wallet is unlocked. ( It still shows in info minting Suspended due to locked wallet )

Is working fine for me. If is a proble, shoul be in your computer, you can test to solve making a reboot of the program.
Otherwise a key question is to how many nodes appears connected. Thats the second icon at below and right of the screen

it says 9 active nodes connected and on Minting Tab I can see 9 transactions with age 3-6.. I was just worried as on day 2 it minted around X and hasnt done any minting since then

The coins which are used and given to merchant is being bought back by faircoop at Getfaircoin exchange rate.

Do you have a source of it?

Enric mentioned in some older post. May be he can clarify if its not true
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] Faircoin Dev team launch Faircoin 2.0 White paper. PoC on: December 13, 2015, 11:35:36 PM
FairCoop is selling those coins/ or distributing those coins to people and may be merchants. The coins which are used and given to merchant is being bought back by faircoop at Getfaircoin exchange rate. Bitterex is not involved in any way. I don't think Faircoop is concerned about bitterex..
