But I also think this means we really need to take responsibility here and finally lower the GetFairCoin price.
If new people hear about Faircoin and start buying some through GetFairCoin to support Faircoin and to invest in the Faircoin ecosystem, they should also get a FAIR price.
The market price on Bittrex has been much lower than the GetFairCoin price for a really long time now, so I think we should accept that the GetFairCoin price just isn't realistic at this time.
Whether we like it or not, in an open economy, supply and demand is what determines the price. Since the market price on Bittrex has been floating around 0.000035 BTC for a while now, I think the GetFairCoin price should be lowered to around 0.00005 BTC.
That way the new people who are enthousiastic about Faircoin and invest money in it through GetFairCoin, will also get a FAIR amount of Faircoin for their money.

Now the people, who buy in getfaircoin gets a fair amount of faircoins to use for example on fairmarket where the goods and services are growing based on the getfaircoin price. Is the people on Bittrex who gets faircoin at discounted price. And this happens because the people who joins fairmarket/getfaircoin mainly is disconnected from the cryptocurrencies exchanges and is not interested in price variations. Meanwhile the people in bittrex is disconnected of the real economy that faircoin is building.

So, now that Fairmarket is active the spread can be solved in many ways, is about time, and we are more determined than ever in solving this by the real economy activity.

I've heard remarks like this before on this forum and I do have to say this worries me a little bit.
Bittrex is the only place where Faircoins can be traded openly, so to say that the Bittrex price doesn't matter sounds really wrong to me.
Economically speaking, the Bittrex price is the ONLY price that matters, since this is where supply and demand meet.
We are trying to build an economy here and not some communistic currency, of which the government says that is has a certain value, while the rest of the world disagrees.
So if the only place to spend your Faircoins against the amount you paid for it through GetFairCoin, is the Fairmarket, then what merchant will put their products on the Fairmarket ?? I think nobody, because they can get real money for their goods elsewhere.
So we really have to step away from this communistic way of thinking about an economy.
I think Faircoin should have an open economy with a socialistic mindset behind it.
Not some weird communistic economy where the government decides what the imaginary value of a currency is, while nobody in the rest of the world will actually buy the currency for that value.

So I really hope to see Faircoin traded in as many exchanges as possible and to create some real world demand for it by making the Fairmarket and other services as attractive as possible ! And I think the best way to make it attractive is to make sure that Faircoins are easily traded back and forth against other currencies.
So we need volume,realistic prices, easy access to buying and selling Faircoin against other currencies and reasons for people to use their Faircoins.

To avoid any miscommunications here: I will never state anything to discredit the hard work you and the rest of the Faircoin team are putting into this project. I have very much respect for that and I can only hope you will continue making the Fair economy a reality !

My contribution to Faircoin is joining the projects and voicing my views/ concerns and ideas here on Bitcointalk and that's what I did with my previous post.
That's also what I hope we will all keep doing to get in as many views and ideas as possible

First of all Faircoin is just not for trading. Which other currency has a service like getfaircoin. LAst time the price was equal people took advantage of it and bought it from getfaircoin and sold it on bittrex and that was wrong. Also the difference in price is just few bitcoin which dosent really matter. If you want to invest in faircoin dont invest in it to become rich. This is not another shit altcoin get rich scheme. real people are using it.

As Enric mentioned earlier in the thread also people who participate in fairmarket dont need to worry about price in biettrex as they can use the same service to sell faircoin too..

I participate on Telegram, this assembly boards and the wordpress forum. Sure I could make suggestions or discuss, but I never was able to take part in the decision or saw any democratic struktur or at least, how a decision was made (which arguments and who is responsible).

This was really a big minus for me in the idea of faircoin.

What do other people think about this ?

A few month ago I had agreed with your view and had voiced for an adaption of the price to the bittrex price.
However in todays situation I believe that's the worst you can do.
There is nothing to win anymore with a price adaption but a lot to lose.

Given the Fairmarked  Business owners indeed are abel to sell/convert back to fiat with the getfaircoin price the getfaircoin-fairmarket system is self sustaining on any set faircroin price.

Now those that have coins and do not take part in that system (like me) are on the lose end. This indeed includes Bittrex.

Clearly this means that we are not talking about a markt driven cryptocurrency anymore but about a predeterminated value an exchange tooken with a set value within that system and set by the system governance whatever this governance is.

If this System is getting into gear the free exchanges price will correct to the set value over time.
That is because people are not forced to buy from getfaircoin but are free to buy the coins from free exchanges where it is cheaper.

So if there is an enough large fairmarket which people are interested in and using they will sooner or later buy all coins cheaper than the getfaircoinprice.

Untill then however you are stuck with coins that you can't sell unless you become part of the system.
In concrete this means if you want to sell your coins to the getfaircoin price right now you will have to open a business on fairmarket.

What do we gain if getfaircoin lowers the faircoin price to the bittrex price?

In my opinion you can't win anything at all anymore but only lose. You lose the value they lowerd and that's it. The crypto market won't care or react in any way. If you hold faircoins then you lost the value. I don't think that's in your interest.

I have to say that the stubborn set faircoin price surprised me month ago. However it is set at a value I am very comfortable with.

If it get's there depends on how succussful the fairmarket will be. I have my doubts in the success rate but eric/faircoop is very confident in what they want and so its a matter if I trust their skill and will to get it running as well as it should to stabilize the price to the set value.

I see first sign of correction on bittrex and the price correction can happen very fast. If you check the price is growing this days and a factor 2 or 3 isn't so much if the econmie starts working as they like to have it.

About feeling excluded. Yes I too feel so. I indeed see fairccop as a governorate that excludes me.

Might be different if I take part. But I really have other things in my daily life so I simple accept that it's not in my controll.
Not much different then all the rest I have no control over.

Has been a lot of things happening creating different kind of delays, but the plan to fork the full chip chap wallet, with all the features, and have it for faircoin is getting
closer and closer. Likely the fairtoearth wallet, with credit card exchange, virtual card, transfer, etc.. should come that spring.

It seems that this coin is pretty much in the same situation as FairCoin in the way that their will be a market (3d voxel platform) whre the coin is the only currency and the price is set by the creators (Voxel platfrom/uphold) and the exchanges are more an attachment.
