81  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [H] 100's of Steam games, [W] Bitcoins (or tf2/cs:go keys, wishlist games, ..) on: June 18, 2016, 12:19:39 PM
Some of those gifts are gone now, maybe a dozen or so.

Anyone wants to make a request, PM me and I can see if I still have any.

There are a few things I'd like to get rid of;

Toren Deluxe Edition
Killer is Dead - Nightmare Edition
Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition
Dead Island Riptide Complete Edition
StarDrive 2: Deluxe Edition
Icy
Cradle

those are all CD keys, not gifts.  I should have the cheapest listing on g2a for them right now, but I'd sell them for cheaper than they are on g2a ofc.

Killer is Dead & the two Dead Island's are available everywhere but Europe (which includes Turkey... but doesn't include serbia or montenegro).   (ed: fixed to make it easier to understand)   i.e.  no countries (or principalities, except Gibraltar, I think) in europe can activate them except serbia and montenegro.  they're fine in south america, asia, north america, russia, whatever else.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Reindexing blocks on disk on: June 11, 2016, 05:34:46 PM
Is there a way to bypass this reindexing thing?
Like, moving the wallet to Electrum or something like that.
I've been waiting like 2 days for the reindexing finishing.
It hog all my PC's resources.

There is no way to bypass reindexing. It is a part of how Bitcoin Core works. You can move to another wallet, but the wallet files are not compatible so you will have to export the private keys and import them elsewhere.

So I have to wait until it finishes reindexing by slowing down my computer?
I'm 35 weeks behind and it seems that it doesn't progress at all...
If you want to continue to use Bitcoin Core, then yes, you will have to wait for it to finish.

I want to move my wallet to Electrum, I'm tired of Bitcoin Core. It's too slow.
Is it possible to do that without waiting for the reindex to be finished?

Wouldn't have to reindex if you downloaded a copy of the blockchain from somewhere.  Like, say, a remote server.

Not sure why you need to reindex in the first place, why didn't it just pick up block downloads where it left off?
83  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [H] 100's of Steam games, [W] Bitcoins (or tf2/cs:go keys, wishlist games, ..) on: June 11, 2016, 04:57:17 PM
I also need the copy of Portal 2 and RC Simulation 2.0
Let me know if you have and how much they cost
PM is better, don't read this thread so often.

RC Simulation, I'd have to go with the current lowest global Steam price, which is $12.24 right now (Norway price).  It's $14.99 in US store.  $12.37 on G2A.  $17.04 on Steam for people in EU, who are probably the folks I'd end up selling to if I put it on G2A, lol.

I'd take $10 in bitcoins for it, though.  If you're interested, PM me.

ah... and I'm out of Portal 2 now.

I'll update list with a few other titles I found while digging around my alts also.  getting ready to list them on g2a, but haven't yet (just got all the links written down, took hours, hah)
84  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 48 Chrome Case 3 Keys (CSGO) 70$ on: June 08, 2016, 08:13:53 PM
38 left, since i got scammed.

that profile link doesn't exist anymore.

i'd buy 38 for $55.  but you'd have to take paypal, or if we assume you're in US, EU region, i guess i could offer to buy steam games valued at $55 from norway, new zealand, south korea, japan, or canada, whichever happens to be cheapest for that particular game.    usually norway or new zealand.

this is where my btcjam profile comes in handy;

https://btcjam.com/users/28002

yes!

if i abused paypal chargebacks, i wouldn't have same paypal acct since 2000

and dacentec happens to have some $25 servers in stock right now, as it so happens!  game of thrones DL at 100MB/s, yes!    err, wait, well, i normally don't use it for torrenting, but ..  tempted on that $30 RTO server, would actually make colo worth it w/ 3 servers
85  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [H] 100's of Steam games, [W] Bitcoins (or tf2/cs:go keys, wishlist games, ..) on: June 08, 2016, 07:59:18 PM
Ill just buy a copy of shellshock live and bloody trapland if they are still for sale. If you still have a copy of portal 2 will also buy it.

oh, wow, thought those bloody traplands were just about worthless, but it's showing some $2.73 on g2a.

i got another coupon for portal 2 earlier today, so used that.  it was only 75% off instead of 90% off, but with norway store prices it still makes it pretty cheap.  EU is about 5-10% higher than US, which is about 15% higher than Canada, which  is about 5% higher than Norway and NEw Zealand.    fun facts of steam

anyway, if I went by g2a prices, i could expect to get around $14 or $15 after fees.

i base bitcoin price on bitstamp, cause that's the only exchange i'm on and what i'd have to use if i wanted to convert it to straight usd.  is $580 right now.

last portal 2 game i sold for $6.25,  which is probably still a bit low, but we can use that.   i can send the gift fine, but it's not tradeable until june 8th, if that matters.  shellshock live and bloody trapland are both tradeable (ive had them over a month).

anyway, portal 2 for $6.25, bloody trapland for $1.75, & call shellshock live $5.  then we can do a fancy 75 cent discount for 3 games and come to $12.

i'm more interested in someone buying my region locked games though;

Dead Island Definitive Collection
Killer is Dead - Nightmare Edition
Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition
Dead Island Riptide Complete Edition

they are a pita to sell.

anyway, i'll email you the details.  but in general, i'm not paying a lot of attention to this thread anymore, as i've finished making all the links for my gifts & just need to list them on g2a now.  ofc, if anyone else wanted something, it could be possible

86  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [H] 100's of Steam games, [W] Bitcoins (or tf2/cs:go keys, wishlist games, ..) on: June 07, 2016, 11:04:45 PM
Just asking if you have stardew valley in your list will buy a piece if you have one in stock.
ah, no, no stardew valley

re: portal 2's, i sold the other copy to udet4food

i don't read the replies here, just PMs.   sometimes.  it occasionally takes me a day or two.

i pretty much gave up on mass selling those games though (through means other than g2a/ebay) and am just gonna list them on the auction sites

88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unable to synchronise blockchain on: June 01, 2016, 05:25:54 AM
I'm starting to get a bit concerned about this.
If I leave classic nodes in my peer list, then it seems to slow down synchronisation, If I ban them for a week, then sync zips along.
I guess I should do a full malware scan to see if anything has got at my core installation.
I'm on McDonalds WiFi, and I know that they log web activity, presumably for marketing research, but I'm not sure how to check their investigation into the use of non-standard ports.

It's just like before, though not quite as bad due to some client changes, re: block timeouts, downloading from multiple peers, etc.

It's still much faster to connect to a single 'fast' node in order to synch the blockchain, than it is to connect to multiple nodes.

For the node I have on my home internet connection, I've always just used 1 maxconnection and connect to whatever server I happen to have running bitcoind at the time.

I guess if you wanted to test speed differential, you could see what I mean, re:  maxconnections=1 connect=192.254.76.218 ... that's the node I have running bitcoind at the moment, anyway..

speaking of servers, dacentec restocked a whole bunch of $20 and $25 stuff yesterday.  jeje.

all done!

....... if anyone else is interested in something, PM me as I don't check the bitcointalk forum very frequently.  'bout to hit the sack, so probably won't see any possible new requests until 8-11pm utc saturday.
90  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [H] 100's of Steam games, [W] Bitcoins (or tf2/cs:go keys, wishlist games, ..) on: May 28, 2016, 07:00:23 AM
$5 for portal 2? Pm me if you can do this. You're legendary, so I guess I'll send first. Sorry if you consider this offer as a lowball, I purchased a 90% off portal 2 code yesterday but it expired 5 fucking minutes after I bought it...

It's not a bad offer, given these 90% and 75% coupons that exist... hmm... ah, what do people use to price bitcoin now, anyway?  I guess I'll just stick w/ what I know and use the values I see on bitcoincharts (specifically coinbase).  It looks like spot price is $500, but I wouldn't be comfortable valuing it that high, given that $50 increase in the last, uh, 24 hours.  I used to go buy '24 hr moving average, or spot price, whichever is lowest'.  So I guess my valuation right at this moment would be around $475.

I suppose in general, I wouldn't want an offer significantly lower than the price on www.g2a.com/r/hoovering (ah, just had to pimp that referral link.  sadly, it has only hoovered me about 3 euros in 6 months); for those ppl out there that don't care about me being homeless and starving and feel like making me cry, you can visit via www.g2a.com instead.   And a quick guide to g2a buying:    don't use selected offer (and it's best in general to buy from sellers with 200-30k transactions, as they'll generally be the ones that respond to resolution center complaints, vs these bots with 100k+ that just ignore).  Also turn off 'G2A shield', first on the purchase page itself, and then they'll try to sneak it in again on payment options (dirty ratbastards).  Then when you see something at $5, you'll actually pay $5, instead of some massively inflated amt from their chicanery.  oh, they also do charge some fee for paypal, which I think is against the paypal ToS, but bitcoins is 0%!

Anyway, I see the price there at $8.06.  assuming I listed at, say, 7.95, and wasn't price matched instantly by some bot (which 99% of the time will get the sale, cause people are dumb and use 'selected offer'), then I'd get about $6.50 or so after they jacked all their fees.   I've had fair success selling portal 2 on there, & that current price is around what it usually rests at if there hasn't been a Steam sale in a while,  re: $7 - $9 range.

now with all that jibber jabber being said & given that I said my valuation of bitcoin was $475, I'd take 0.0116 bitcoins for it, or ~$5.51.  Would be $5.80 if you went by the current spot price.

eh, actually, i'm fine with $5, since it'd be my first time selling for bitcoin, rather than on g2a.  I'd still want to value bitcoins at $475, but I suppose we could round that 0.010526316 to 0.0105.

Can send the 0.0105 to 1Zevusze7BjTpp4srJhx4zkRBxpbgwU4A ... I'll be here til at least 10am UTC (another 3 hrs or so).  Have client loaded now so I'll see any transaction.

Send me a PM on here with an email address to send gift link to after I receive the bitcoins if you're fine w/ that.  (I'll also just PM you this whole mess, but post this anyway.  who knows, perhaps it'll be the glorious start of a successful G2A Hoovering™ campaign)

 www.g2a.com/r/hoovering

yes!
91  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Appropriate prices for each rank? on: May 28, 2016, 06:20:21 AM
Check the auctions. That's where you're gonna find the true prices. And you see loads of heroes going for well under 0.4. Most sig campaigns ain't what they used to be. There are tons of new heroes arriving all the time. Legendary is the one that still has real value.
Yeah no kidding.  There was a proposal a while back to create a status higher than legendary,  and I kinda wish that would happen

I guess after Legendary should come Mythical, and it should inspire fear and awe. Btw, how long does it take to get to Legendary (from Hero)?

I don't even know what it's based on.  Number of posts?  Combo of posts + age of account?  lol.

I know in my case, I guess it probably took at least 18 months, to go from Hero or Legendary, or at least it took 18 months after getting Hero for me to notice I was 'legendary'.  Never really paid too much attention to it.

....  as far as anyone wanting to deal in values of $1000+, they'd need a high trust factor, and an account created prior to mid-2012 (and also w/ a steady steam of posts, rather than nothing and then bloat beginning 2013 onwards), just due to this account selling bs.

(ed: change that maybe to early-mid 2013.  i think that's around when bitcoin started becoming mainstream?  if i was in the market for accounts, I guess one of the first things I'd do is look for the first post related to selling one's account & check bitcoin trade volumes & board size, to come up with more than a guesstimate on that creation date)
92  Economy / Digital goods / [H] 100's of Steam games (as global region gifts, not keys), [W] Bitcoins on: May 28, 2016, 06:05:46 AM
Most of the stuff is gone, so just editing it all out for now.  Maybe sometime in future I'll try again here.

It was maybe $100-$150 worth of stuff I sold for bitcoins, which was some drop in bucket compared to all the stuff I sold on g2a... but, then, g2a steals so much money, it could be worth it.

I probably need to make some minimum buy order next time though.  =p

98  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Appropriate prices for each rank? on: May 08, 2016, 11:28:40 PM
seems to me like creation date would matter quite a bit,  seeing as how you probably had a ton of people start to create bullshit accounts x amount of years ago, just for this purpose

100  Economy / Services / Need someone in India to buy something for me. on: April 17, 2016, 03:30:39 PM
Cost is ~$7.50.  I want to test to see if it works, before wasting all this time setting up my own payment solution -- they use this 'PayUMoney' crap, that requires an SMS to an indian mobile phone, and some credit card verification that's apparently unique to credit cards issued in India (wont even work on Entropay).

PM me if interested; can provide more details, etc.  Pls don't bother if you aren't in India (or can pay with 'PayUMoney' w/ an 'Indian' credit card -- it rejects everything else).
