This allows him to:
Reverse transactions that he sends while he's in control
Prevent some or all transactions from gaining any confirmations
Prevent some or all other generators from getting any generations
The attacker can't:
Reverse other people's transactions
Prevent transactions from being sent at all (they'll show as 0/unconfirmed)
Change the number of coins generated per block
Create coins out of thin air
Send coins that never belonged to him

artificially lower the difficulty. I know, from a mathematical perspective its bullsh*** but from a psychological perspective it matters. back in the btc-days i tended towards the pool, where i got the most "<yay>"s back. |

Im aware that bringing out a version that just works is more important at the moment,
so my proposal is more about a long-run version.

I'm still so amused that Dogecoin is high up there.
No offense, but I think they are just doing the dirty work -> begin jovial, tipping everyone and sucking in new people into the crypto space.
Once those guys wisen up and learn more though, I don't see why they would choose to stay into doge.
"just" the dirty work.  dont get me wrong. i m a longtime drk-holder, and i like to poke doge sometimes (see my post history) but i think they do an amazing job bringing new faces into the cryptoworld. the techies and futurists are already here. dogecoin brings in the soccer-mums and racing-dads. we souldnt undervalue that, even if their coin has no real invention build into it. |
