141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARCO] AquariusCoin | The water of crypto | NO premine | on: August 01, 2017, 01:07:22 AM
Jure, something is wrong. I am resyncing my wallet, because I stopped staking on July 30 at about 9:12 pm Czech time.

I think there's something wrong with the chain.

Yeah...

I already saw that the developers...
Just one thought is their address
I have no more confidence in them Angry

I'm pretty sure this is not intentional.

is aguariuscoin is still alive

Seems pretty alive to me:

Though it'll be interesting to know who is running wallet in Saudi Arabia. Cheesy
143  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DeOS (by Razormind) is most likely a scam! EDIT: Ongoing investigation!!! on: July 26, 2017, 07:32:41 PM
Awhile back it sounded like you were aware of investigations going on. Anything you can share? I reached out to the Irish investigator but he never responded.

Last time I checked was over a month ago, but I got no response. Now I asked again, see what happens.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: July 26, 2017, 05:04:59 AM
I read through the whole topic. So many people saying that the hacks are not etheruem devs fault. So pathetic. The devs made the wallet that had vulnerabilities. The dao hack was also the devs fault. In addition, no one seems to mention the fact there was a 92 million eth premine that was hidden. Let allow that v has now dumped the hidden 92 million.Nor does anyone seem to acknowledge that ethereum can not handle large numbers of transactions. Does no one know that pos has been delayed 3 times for over 2 years total. That is because pos does not work. I am sure some of the best devs in the world have worked on it to no avail. How about the implementation of the dirty bomb. This increases blocktimes which further slows down a network incapable of processing large amounts of transaction. Anyone that supports ethereum has not seriously researched the immense number of flaws and countless vulnerabilities. Seems like more often than not ethereum is having some problem. I use to feel sorry for people who were misled by all the false advertising that promotes ethereum. Now I think it is their own fault. If they lose money I no longer have empathy. I get the biggest laugh when people talk about the flipping. Etheruem will never replace bitcoin. With all the complaints about bitcoin transaction time and fees, even if ethereum became more valuable than bitcoin no one would wait on the transaction times. The only good ethereum did was bring knowledge of cypto to many people who had no idea what cypto was. With all the new reliable coins out their ethereum will fade away. Sure it will be pumped and dumped. Sooner or later people will realize what an unrepairable epic fail ethereum really is.

Finally some logic.

Guys, don't think all these ICOs are running on Ethereum, because it's superior to Bitcoin. It's because it is "modern" to do so. And I will repeat myself when saying that I can't get all these teams behind of certain project. Their combined experience is 8764345 years and they participated in projects (not related to digital currencies) worth 10s, 100s of millions and even billions of $. Yet they come here and ask for your money. Do you know why?

1. It's because they can enrich themselves fast.
2. They can experiment with your money. If they succeed, they will make even more money, but if they FAIL, all they need to say is: "It's a technology bro, we tried."

Guess who is the one left with the thumb up in his ass? YOU!

The lesson with the DAO was pretty good, but it appears the masses never learned from it. All they care is to make money, no matter what happens with Ethereum or Bitcoin for that matter. This is what worries me and this is why I don't like Ethereum and the kind. If it/they was some project funded by rich companies/people, and give us the opportunity to participate (explore it, trade it etc...), then I'm all for it.

But that is not the case. Most of you don't realize you're screwing with the future of digital currencies.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: July 25, 2017, 07:23:07 PM
Why I'm not surprised to see so many childish comments? Roll Eyes No wonder ETH still retains high value against $. Market movers don't even need to sweat anymore, all they need is to imply they're building the Matrix and sheep will support them.

I find it a bit comical that you call other's comments childish when you yourself have not provided and fact-based arguments to be against or not support ETH at this point in time. Yes, there have been a few somewhat minor issues in recent months, but most of those were caused by ETH's over-popularity (ie: several ICO's launched at same time, which caused congestion in the ETH blockchain). And, most of the hacks that I read about were through exchanges or other 3rd parties, meaning nothing to do with the ETH network itself.

However, on the contrary, you've got tons of things lined up in favor of ETH, including most ICO using ETH network, and probably most impressive, MAJOR support from MAJOR multi-billion $ companies such as Samsung, Intel, Microsoft, major banks and a ton more.  Why not educate yourself and google Enterprise Ethereum Alliance?  Do you really think established and reputable companies like these are throwing their support and money behind a pump-and-dump scheme??

And, not only is the probably the most supported altcoin world-wide, it's price performance is also astounding... up over 2000% in the last 6 months! Yes, almost all Alts have risen in the last 6 months, but ETH is one of the few with staying power and probably over 90% of the crypto community alone is in this boat. So, did you really expect not to get challenged on your unsupported assertions about ETH?  Sounds to me like you probably bought in at $350 and are now pissed cuz you're either sitting on or already took a loss lol.  Cheesy

So you call the DAO, which shrank the market with some $3-$4 billion in a week, and the multiple hacks a minor issues? And you are saying Microsoft and other big companies are supporting Ethereum? How so? They are buying it on Bittrex? Then you said I probably bought at $350 and now being salty about it. All these bullshits you said are typical for newbies, forum trolls and... Ethereum "supporters".

You are the one who should educate yourself a bit better, before coming here and accuse others not doing so. Do you know why? Because the difference between you and me (in terms of what we know about digital currencies, their markets and people involved in them) is bigger than a bacteria and Burj Khalifa.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: July 24, 2017, 08:06:23 PM
No need to cut off the support for ethereum. They still have a solid team working to fix their mistakes and that's the alternative of bitcoin with a better method utilizing smart contracts.

Sure, they (still) have the time (and the incentives) to do it. All they need is some 100s of millions $ (why not billions?) in funds and all will be good. Average Joe will be happy to buy at 2k satoshi and sell at 20k... until everything collapses. But no worries - it's technology, which needs to be explored. No regrets here.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: July 24, 2017, 07:12:37 PM
all they need is to imply they're building the Matrix and sheep will support them.

Shh......the Matix ICO announcement is still a week away.

Seriously? Can't believe I didn't heard about this one...

Please, can you explain your point of view better? I was just thinking about investing in Eth, I don't have many technical skills to understand the details but what's does not convince you? Security?

Its approach. To me digital currencies were always about the revolution and then fiat money. I strongly believe that people should work in projects, because they believe in them, not because they can earn more Ethereum. Or Bitcoin for that matter.

"support", "like", "hate", "f***", ...
people are getting too emotional in my opinion. and in this market you will lose all your money the day you start using your emotions instead of cold hard logic of your brain. just get in, make the profit, dump and get the hell out of there! and then stay out when things don't look good. it is not like there is a lack of "variety" to choose from!

it is a cool technology but it has failed to deliver. multiple times when things got serious and got some traction.

I'm far from losing money in this. I think that EBT, RZR and SFR were the only three coins I lost money in my 4 years in crypto.

Spartak, what do you mean by 'support'?  As in putting ETH in cold storage or is trading ETH a form of 'support' to you?

In my case I don't consider myself an Ethereum supporter, but I do trade it.  The only coins that I have ever bought and stored are Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero and ETC.

Trading also means you are supporting it. I bought 11-12 ETH only once and that was... 2 months ago. I have then sold with a tiny profit (something like $200) and would not touch it again, because I simply don't like it...
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you still support Ethereum? on: July 21, 2017, 02:34:27 PM
I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

Didn't we had enough of this?
151  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DeOS (by Razormind) is most likely a scam! EDIT: Ongoing investigation!!! on: July 19, 2017, 01:40:48 PM
Why do I think CoinIdol had some part in this? Not sure if it was with another article, or it was with something else though. And how come Ismail Malik was scammed? He posted some "nice" recordings, which he later deleted and I personally contacted him on Facebook regarding this.

Not saying he's a scammer, I'm saying he's a HYPOCRITE. It's easy to sing Shaggy's "It wasn't me", when you don't get paid, or you feel the heat on your ass...

Our long holiday season nearly over in the next couple days bro and we are heading back in charge on Monday ....

ah i don't like Monday  Huh Huh Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Grin Grin

That's how the altcoin masters are doing - having long vacations in Bali, while the ordinary people like me have 24 days only to spend in their beloved home countries. Cheesy

Aren't you going out for some vacation Sigit and Chrys? Smiley

P.S. Chrys any chance to point some dusty miner?

Hey guys,

Just talked with Adam on Telegram. We are going to wait and see what happens with the Bitcoin fork/s, before we proceed with FAIL. He is going to be on vacation in August and I'll be traveling to Bulgaria on August 4th, until August 28th, when I'm coming back to Czech Republic.

I guess we will start in September.

In the mean time we will be more than grateful if you point some miners at http://failpool.cryptovpshosting.org/. OC, if you see this message - please see if you can fix suprnova pool. I wrote you DM long time ago, but you didn't responded.

Thank you,
Spartak

Viatoshi Drakamoto (btcdrak) is a very good developer and a smart guy, but the thread is a bit outdated, since he's no longer VIA dev. You might want to change it with Romano.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARCO] AquariusCoin | The water of crypto | NO premine | on: July 09, 2017, 12:13:49 PM
There were definitely some movements, but it has not been done by any of the team.

Here's a screenshot of my wallet:

I'm kinda ARCO whale. Cheesy My point is I haven't moved a single coin, nor have the BTC to perform such actions on the market. I think I had about 140,000 coins at some point, but the ones I sold were on much lower prices and it was because I needed money (even though they were tiny amounts... that's life). And here's Jure:

NERD!

Just check out his license plate! Grin I was laughing with tears, when I saw he posted this picture on Facebook. Cheesy

Haven't talked with krile, but I don't believe he has something to do either.

Anyway... my point is we're not this kind of people and with the latest craziness, I'd say that latest ARCO prices (3-5k satoshi) are more than fair.

Cheers,
Spartak

Someone pumping Arco on yobit any hot news or something for this pump, any new update thanks

Wallet is online as it seems YoBit finally finished the "maintenance". As for the news, will leave this to Jure.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 6.5 K USD. What should i invest in? Pow? Pos? Trading ? on: July 08, 2017, 01:10:25 PM
I will go ALL IN in BAT if I was you. And I'm not joking...

Man maan you are totally wrong. I am actually using brawe browser and there is thausand of issues. Bat have a great team but they dont fix it. I also have some bats but i am already %60 down and its no sure when i will be back on my profit at the begining. And the most important one i am reading the comments about get paid by watching ads, guess what nobody gives a fck on it!!! I am going to sell all my bats as soon as the price go little bit higher and already not using brave anymore and i am getting to delete it for ever so please be carefull when u say %99.9 about sth on crypto world. Have a nice day.

Am I? That's the main problem with people nowadays - you "can't easily have them". If now some guy like John Atanasoff comes to you with a basketball court sized machine and tells you: "This is a Time machine", you won't believe him, until it is shaped as a laptop, or an IPhone with a shiny bitten apple on the back.  I asked one simple question:

Just imagine how many of you are using... browsers?

Some may say IE is shitty, others Chrome, Mozilla, Tor etc... you'll hear millions of opinions, but guess what? It really doesn't matter what they say, because all of them have its huge market niche. How about the ads market?

We Bulgarians like to say that there's no need to invent the hot water. All you need is to work for you (whatever you're trying to start). And if you don't see the potential here, well... nothing I can do about it.

P.S. I can agree with these 99.9% I mentioned, but that's probably because I hardly see BAT to fail any further. Their main problem is... Ethereum. I am sure that they will reach a lot of their goals, so yes, it may not work as they are planning, but they have a potential... a big one. And isn't all because of this after all? Potential? I'm sorry that this is not the ICO, which made a 15000% ROI in 2 weeks, but the way I see it is a bit different.

Cheers!

We all know the "all eggs in one basket" story, but there are a lot more things to consider. There are moments in which you should be "brave" and listen to your guts. Smiley I hardly like any concept of a coin/token/whatever, because most of them lack the most important thing - usage (i.e. people). BAT is on a whole different level (though I hate the way they raised funds). Just imagine how many of you are using... browsers? And at the time of my first reply here the price was 4050 satoshi, now BAT is at 4370. I gave my "investment advise", because I'm following the market very closely and BAT currently is a 99.99% sure "investment". My best guess is that you can make 20-50% profit over the next few days (it already gained ~10% in 2 hours), not to mention what might happen in a few months/years.

How does this even make sense?

So first - BAT was an ICO that raised 30 million in the first hour.  I tend to agree it's one of the only legit ICOs.  BUT

1.)  It's valued at 110 million which means original ICO purchases are already 4X in the green.

2.)  THIS is it's price chart.

https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/basic-attention-token/

3.)  It has gone down 10% today (maybe you are seeing upside down or something?)

I think it's currently about 2.5 times over the ICO price, but this doesn't mean anything.

EDIT: And I think they raised $36 Million... in 20-30 seconds...

You are naive as fuck. Prepare to lose money on a gimmick that no one will use.

I thought you actually knew something, clearly I was wrong.

You can't be farther from the truth. I started trading again in mid May after a long (probably close to 2 years) break. Sold part of one of my alts for 0.57 BTC (about $1000 at the time) and at the moment I'm sitting on about ~$7,000 worth of BAT (~$4,000, even at these prices), Aragon and SIA. Mind telling me how I can lose?

You see, I have a strategy when it comes to trading:

1. I'm always buying coins/tokens, which I "believe in"!
2. If I believe the given coin/token will worth a lot more in future, then I'm starting to accumulate. I'm putting (say) a 10-20% difference as a target (example: bought at 1000 satoshi and it reaches 1100-1200), then I'm starting to sell. Usually I go with 1/4 or 1/3 of my holdings. If I hold 1000 coins, I'm selling 250 at 1100 satoshi. Then if the price reaches 1300 - I'm selling another 250. If the price goes back from 1300 to (say) 1150, then I'm buying back with ALL the BTC I earned from the previous trade (at 1300). If there is some sudden dump to (say) 900 satoshi, I'm buying with the BTC I made from both these trades (at 1100 and 1300).

This way I can follow the waves relatively "safely" and my chances of losing aren't that big.

Jumping on me this way won't do you any good, because I may be everything, but when it comes to digital currencies (coins, scams, tradings (if you wish).. everything except the tech behind a certain coin (that's because I'd like to think as the average Joe and don't give a flying f*ck about the gimmicks and don't waste my time to research them)), then you are talking to a person from which you may learn a lot.

I've been here for long enough and I've seen more than you can imagine, so you may call me naive, or you may call out mining1 and Mindlesscache to help you "bashing" me with my haircut or profile picture, but this won't change the fact that THIS IS SPARTA!

P.S. BAT is now trading at 4500. More money "lost".
