921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Potcoin has almost 8% of Bitcoin's volume. on: October 11, 2016, 10:17:31 AM
Keep talking about genuine interest. It's already down by 52%, but they tweeted like 105 times: "Oh, look at us, we have huge volume", "Oh, we are making a comeback".

That's very sad. VERY sad...
922  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DeOS (by Razormind) is most likely a scam! on: October 11, 2016, 09:57:17 AM
It's pretty sad that there is still no reaction from CoinTelegraph and there are like 105 "red lights" in Razormind's actions in this thread so far.

EDIT: There are 3 articles about Razormind, written by CT: https://cointelegraph.com/tags/razormind
923  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: pocketdice.io scammed 102btc, please help!!! on: October 11, 2016, 09:53:01 AM
I just want to warn the MODs that the OP have send me a PM about 2-3 days ago, wanting 0.1 BTC from me, but I'm not sure why? Probably to "have the right to claim the "reward"" for "helping" chelashin (or whatever was his nickname). I have deleted the message and can't recall what exactly did he said, but frankly speaking - I don't care if you believe me.
924  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This is a scam accusation against evey green trust member on: October 11, 2016, 09:42:41 AM

Finaly i say : what a fair forum....really!

you used transaction id that you selected.  so we can not refund you.

They didn't said that you've lost, they basically said that you used random transaction.

Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=813554.msg16512431#msg16512431

Maybe that could be the case, but what if he sign a message and prove ownership of the address? I'm not sure how to check if a transaction is winning or losing, because I have other things to do now. Smiley

Hopping that this will make any change...

Thank you.

925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's all one big scam people... Monero dead now. on: October 11, 2016, 07:04:35 AM
And even then you can easily lose your shirt, pants, and zebra print g-strap.  There is no guarantee that any shitcoin pump is going to go your way.  Look at the goddamn Yobit boneyard of shitcoins that went to 0.00000001 BTC.  There are many.  This is straight up gambling with no logic or rationale behind the creation and price movements of these shits.  I totally stay away from them.  Rarely, I'll buy something like Dash or Doge, both of which have (relatively) large user bases, and somewhat stable prices.  The other ones can suck the big one.

Agreed on almost everything you said, except Dash. Like we don't remember some details surrounding its launch. Smiley And let's face it, Dash was pumped many times.

You didn't even leave a Negative but you blame everyone else?  Roll Eyes

Yes i did in his thread and if you mean in his profile than huh!! Its already full of scam accusations but no red trust also i didnt cheat or anything if the owner has problems in his game than thats not my fucking problem he must refund us WFT !.

You said that you are going to sign a message to prove ownership, yet you continue to talk with unsupported claims?

Tsk tsk. When a nerve is struck you see them supporting these fraudsters.

Someone paid me 1 FAIL to jump on this thread. Nothing personal, it's just business.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FailCommunity's FailCoin | News | Upcoming Hard Fork | PoW/PoS 3.0 on: October 10, 2016, 01:51:45 PM
Hello,

Our block explorer was taken down for a short period of time, but it is now restored, as the CriptoID's owner fairglu was kind enough to wait a bit longer (thanks, man, really!). It was because no payments were made in the past 30 days. I am in bad situation for quite some time now, I currently do not own any BTC and I will repeat that I'm not going to ask team members for BTC. As of now, FAIL relies solely on batesresearch, who is paying for github, hosting etc., and pnoch, who is still working on coin's development.

I am reminding you that every FailCommunity Team member has a certain % in FAIL coin and they are fine to work with that, as we have chosen the hard path to work for the Community and the coin itself. That % currently equals to like 0 BTC, because we are not listed on bigger exchanges and we haven't promoted FailCoin. All of our members are currently on stand by and that would not change until our Lead developer pnoch finishes his work!

We may not be "the coin of the day", but we are still here for over 2.5 years now and we are going to deliver, no matter if we FAIL later!

To anyone who is FailCoin holder, or just a guy who wants to help: HEELP! Smiley Any tips of your hard earned satoshi are appreciated! Feel free to PM me with transactions, you will remain anonymous (if you want to) and your help will not be forgotten!

your previous comment sounded a lot like: there are poor people and i do not care about them or want them to use bitcoin. they are not my problem.
bitcoin was not made to end world poverty, but saying you are at the longer end of the stick so you do not care is part of the problem.

No, my previous comment sounded like: Bitcoin will never be used by the world's entire population so why bothering doing such calculations?

I live in a country, which many people doesn't even know where it is located and moreover - a big part of the (hypocrite) world consider it as a 3rd world country.

I would never ever mock with poverty.

930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth Behind New Altcoins on: October 10, 2016, 12:33:21 PM
I'd say that about 15-20 coins can be considered as "good".

There was mention in the original post that even some of the "repped" altcoins might also be scams. If someone were to ask you which ones they are, on the top of your head, which coins will you mention?

Since you said that there might be only 15 - 20 coins that can be considered as good then you might have a big idea on who the bad ones are. Even the "repped" ones.

I've stopped to follow developments on quite a few coins, since I'm not trading for quite some time now, but I'd say:

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin, BlackCoin, Counterparty, Primecoin, vTorrent, VeriCoin, Viacoin, Myriad, Noble. I was SFR's fan as well, but sadly developer kinda left it.

There are also a lot of "under the radar" coins, which still have pretty active development.

P.S. I am only mentioning coins in which development team (as far as I know) was never involved in manipulation of the market. Vericoin was pumped and dumped at some point, but I'm not sure if the dev's has anything to do with that.

They didn't said that you've lost, they basically said that you used random transaction.

Secondstrade means that OP found a flaw in their provably fair system and intentionally broadcasted the transaction ids that win.

Maybe that could be the case, but what if he sign a message and prove ownership of the address? I'm not sure how to check if a transaction is winning or losing, because I have other things to do now. Smiley

There are literally millions of people who does not know how a $ bill looks like (and EURO/GBP/CNY/whatever for that matter), so I won't bother with such calculations. Smiley

There are literally millions of people who does not know how a bread/clean water/education/housing looks like, so I won't bother with such calculations.

You don't say? Smiley

check your privilege! bitcoin might not be able to be used by all, but you are way off here.

I did that long time ago. Bitcoin will never be used by all. My point was that such comparisons are unnecessary. Currently Bitcoin needs two things:

1. To survive.
2. To be better adopted.

Yes i can sign a msg to prove that its my address but do you think that this will make any change since he is refusing to refund me or or his other players...?

I would try to read between the lines if I were you:

you used transaction id that you selected.  so we can not refund you.

They didn't said that you've lost, they basically said that you used random transaction.
935  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This is a scam accusation against evey green trust member on: October 10, 2016, 10:45:04 AM
Can you sign a message to prove that you own these addresses? It is clear that transactions were to secondtrade-related addresses, but that doesn't prove you own them.

EDIT: Their account has some negative trust, but I'm not sure if it is deserved.
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC has too few coins to function as a global currency. on: October 09, 2016, 03:11:06 PM
the fee today is due to only 2million users.

I don't think that this is true. The number of unique BTC addresses currently is about 500k, so I'd say that not more than ~100-150k people are actually using Bitcoin.

alot of people have funds in third parties like exchanges which hold hundreds of thousands of peoples funds in only a couple addresses.(cold wallet reserves)
EG just a couple addresses can represent million users funds combined.

oh and by the way there are 250,000 MERCHANTS. before you even start counting users.

Maybe you're right, but the number of the BTC daily transactions never exceeded 300k. I am sure that millions of people know about Bitcoin, but I'm not sure if millions are using it.

Actually where we can see this data like total number of unique bitcoin address generated till now? Any source or tool? this could be very helpful

And they basically went to bed with the banks.

Would be good if you can elaborate on that. It's more like Bitcoin went to bed with banks than Ethereum IMO.

Ethereum is still experimental technology, yet news are popping every now and then on how the banks are testing it. EF also did a bailout with the HF, which is something that a bank will do, not a decentralized cryptocurrency. Smiley
