I'm skeptical that adding CT will have adverse affects to LTC on a socioeconomic level.
CT is only part of the solution to privacy/anonymity.
Let's face it, the recent effect in anonymous coins is mostly because of hype (or over expectations). I do agree that it would not really affect LTC's price (unless certain groups decide something else). Bad thing is that in the past 2 years cryptocurrencies are restraining from adoption more and more. We have a new "gimmicks race", which probably leads to nowhere. well first of all hype is not a bad thing for altcoins to gain some momentum and then gain some better foothold in the market to raise their price and stay there. besides no trader is going to miss a good hype because there is a lot of profit to me made That's what I meant. Sometimes you do need hype, but that is when you are focused to something more important - adoption (i.e. to get some traction in a coin/asset/token). But that is something we are not seeing lately. Most of the people only care about their profits and that's it. also it is not all hype, there are so many people looking for more privacy so they will look for better anonymous coins. they may not be using it on dark markets and such but that doesn't mean people don't like or want this feature and what coin is better than litecoin to implement this feature. of course only if they don't break everything by doing so!
Privacy doesn't necessarily means wider usage.

I think that Bittrex said it will delist SFR on September 23th, but they didn't (though they delisted some coins), which means that they are still giving a chance for SFR. Here is their latest statement: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/228092228Saffron is among the coins, which will be removed, but they are not saying that they will disable the market for sure. it seemed selfish not to post the links here given there are probably others who wanted to at least withdraw funds from Bittrex.
Yeah, sure, I get your point.

Ah, this fancy Ethereum. He meant Tether (USDT), which is priced @ $1.
|
|
|
Not sure why you bothered doing this. Roshan clearly left SFR and I'm not sure why I am still following this thread. He didn't do one simple thing: contacting Bittrex support to fix the issue. Being "busy" doesn't justify his actions.

Geez, $15.24 per coin sounds kinda expensive for a starter, but I do believe that Zcash is going to be big.
According to the article this also includes an equal stake in the company. With this in mind the price per coin is infact lower, depending on how one values a stake in Zcash corp. "In return for $2 million, the new round of investors collectively took ownership of 6.25% of the company. That implies that the new investors were effectively valuing the company at $32 million (at a time when the uncertainties were greater). The overall amount raised including the previous round is $3 million, and the investors collectively now own 16.4% of the company." That would matter if Zcash develops something other than the coin.

This attack is going to strengthen ETH foundation decision to move to POS
I don't think ETH is yet ready or planning to GO POS soon, ETH supporters attack ETC network where ETC supporters attack ETH network in regular basis, don't know till when this gonna continue. Ethereum could surpass Bitcoin or it could turn to a even bigger disaster than the DAO.

but i also remember that litecoin has no problem of overwhelming transactions
It does not, but if we assume that LTC user base would increase over the years, then it might become a problem and (I think) a hard fork would be required.

I'm not a coder, but wouldn't that be a negative effect to the speed and block size of LTC chain?

That's interesting. I've never seen a website or a thread translated into that language. Wish you luck. Are you Iranian?

Also there is no need to quote a post just above yours, it can be understood that it's a reply to that user. This one comes for free.
People like you must be quoted so can others see what kind of a hypocrite you are. You are always adding extra few lines in your comments so to make you look "better" and I did caught you doing it. This is, again, my last comment to you.

The fact that you chose to be "public" has nothing to do with what i said and doesn't change the fact that you're a fud troll. The only difference between you and spoetnik for example is that you uploaded your mugshot. Most criminals and ill intended people in this world have a public figure, going with your logic, you're a legit honest guy because you showed us your ugly face, really ?
No, the fact that I am showing myself is breaking your "logic". You are taking things on a personal level and I will always beat you in that game, get it?

Threads cheerleading ethereum ? You claimed to have high moral grounds, be honest and admit that for every 1 hype ethereum thread there are 10 that fud it. That tells something about this situation and yourself, doesn't it ? I never hyped ethereum, but the facts are facts. Trolls on btctalk like yourself cannot simply erase the fact that giants are working on ethereum blockchain, be it private (microsoft i think works on a private version atm) or public (santander, thomson reuters, and many many others ) Come on Dollface, have some dignity left and change that haircut please.
Trolls like me are listed in fintech Twitter lists with 100s of thousands accounts and I can prove that again. Just like I proved I'm not 1.60 and 50 kg. ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1620786.msg16296459#msg16296459 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1620786.msg16296600#msg16296600) Who were you?

Well this is just another passive aggressive attempt to fud by spartan aka Dollface. He only links the negative news.
mining1 aka whining for 1 cock is here again. God bless Ethereum and its worshipers. P.S. The thread has nothing to do with me hating/loving ETH. It is supposed to be informative, because not everybody are following Reddit and Twitter.

Lol, this is considered news, are you for real ? This would make the news for cryptos like Coynie West. I thought litecoin aimed to be silver to bitcoin's gold, if this really makes the news then it's more like copper.
Well, it is not the news you were expecting (ETH sucking GoldmanSachs's balls) so you can gtfo in the threads cheerleading Ethereum.

It was indeed announced the day before. That is why I said old with quotation marks.

"The Ethereum network is currently undergoing a DoS attack URGENT ALL MINERS: The network is under attack. The attack is a computational DDoS, ie. miners and nodes need to spend a very long time processing some blocks. This is due to the EXTCODESIZE opcode, which has a fairly low gasprice but which requires nodes to read state information from disk; the attack transactions are calling this opcode roughly 50,000 times per block. The consequence of this is that the network is greatly slowing down, but there is NO consensus failure or memory overload. We have currently identified several routes for a more sustainable medium-term fix and have developers working on implementation. It is highly reccomended to switch to Parity mining. Use these settings: –cache-size-db 1024 –gas-floor-target 1000000 –gasprice 500000000000 Parity mining guides: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1j3v8bKjXQcMNNdx5Juwo3PRRCcHy8XcA6R9-0W7NCso/edithttps://github.com/ethcore/parity/wiki/MiningIf you continue to use geth, use the following settings: –cache 1024 –targetgaslimit 1000000 –gasprice 50000000000" Source: https://blog.ethereum.org/2016/09/22/ethereum-network-currently-undergoing-dos-attack/
