Silkcoin is stronger then we all realize...

We are 5 devs working on the code, at launch one of them looked the part of the address but since he's not used to Base58 encoding he checked https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Base58Check_encoding and thought 25 would be S. Remember we are multiple devs working on the code. Regarding your coment cryptodevil, how can you say the first letter of the public key is the engine ? We discovered it pretty soon, but what implication does this have? None. On the other hand would you really think it would be a good idea to change the address formatting after launch? No. Anyway, how can anyone call this a problem? We have bigger problems to deal with, and if this is the only criticism you can make over Silk, well we're happy. On other news, seeing the last nights dumps we will try to include the built-in exchanger in tomorrow's update to boost up confidence a bit in the market. We are also trying our best to finish the revision of the paper as soon as possible. I hope you still liked the present released infos . Last thing, we are thinking about moving the thread to a self-mod thread. I was against that idea at first but seeing it's becoming impossible to have a civilized discussion/debate here because of the FUD & co we feel this our only option. Wow, things are moving fast all of a sudden! About the self-mod thread; I think its in the best interest to do so, just close this topic with a small explanation why (including the 0.5btc story) and a link to the new one. Also make some polls about choices you guys make in the future, like F2A and such.

So much stress on the market just before the whitepaper

It's the staking mechanism, the stake you won (the small amount) goes to another address, just like when you mine from the wallet. But it's available in your balance and if you want to choose you can choose inputs in coin control dialog to choose from which address to send.
Sorry for the lazyness, but how much coins do I stake when my (staked) balance is like 50,000? And furthermore, is there a specific time set for payment? Thanks, boestin If you hover over the lightning bolt it will tell you your current stake weight and expected time until reward Q But the stakeweight is not measured in coins right? How do I translate that? i'm not 100% sure on this as i am not one of the DEVS but i think the weight is the coin amount that has aged 12 hrs and avail to stake.. i think .. Any dev's around?

Devs, don't pay attention to the trolls, you've got tons of loyal supporters who couldn't care less about what those guys have to say. Keep up the good work! We're on the right track TRUE!

For the coins sake, is it perhaps an idea to vote to get the coin from Mintpal to increase scarcity?

Hey all.
Just want to thank the dev here for sending the pm for my question earlier. Looking forward to the coming days.
Peace! Boestin

But for the record: Was or was not there a premine of 5%? And I am waiting for the answer of any developer from silkcoin.
I want some answers from the developer, because I invested seriously in this coin.
Thanks, boestin

So, devs. I have seen in this thread that you do listen to the community, for example the block halvening in this stage and maybe in the future f2a.
As we all know, Apple has loosened its policy in such way that crypto currency apps are allowed. What if silkcoin released an iPhone wallet or something in that area? Wouldn't that be awesome? Just first apple and then android, just because we are Silk?

Ok, just bought 50k. Dumpers gonna dump, holders gonna be heroes.

why is the discussion at the moment about the value and not what the future holds

Problem is that (almost) everyone wants to get rich quick here, that's simple not happening people. No offense for the developers of course. And it is not going to takeover DRK, don't be lame.

Price will go down when the miners start to dump soon Just need to sell at the right moment and buy back in at the bottom. Maybe @1500 Sat. That's what I did. I'm happy with the price right now as it is. When prices are lower (2700 like) I will buy again. If it goes up, no problem, because I have made some profits and am quite happy about that. But, the history tells that a quick rise like this cannot go on forever. That's why I asked "what will happen when the coin is on Mintpal"?
