I download the pass worded zip file from phoenixminer.org "PhoenixMiner_5.5c_Windows_AMD_NVIDIA (Password-phoenix).zip" on 2-6-21. Anyway to tell if this is legit?

thanks. but it's not working for me, something is wrong with devices detection : Unable to query number of CUDA devices! Is an nVidia driver installed?Of course my 2 nvidia 750 ti work usually quite well with ccminer 1.2 I'm using my intel HD 3000 as display device and the 750 ti for cuda mining |

The issue has been identified and a new 0.8.7.2 client has been released for PC and the source can be found on GitHub. The algo change went through and worked as expected but somehow the block time change upset the network, the block time change was applied before the as we moved back to a conventional difficulty adjust during the algo change. This was done as NGW does not like to have its difficulty forcibly set. Somehow this change did not permeate through the retarget changes back to a conventional difficulty adjust and then back to NGW. I am away on holiday at the moment but will be back in my office tomorrow so can create the Mac client and will work on the block time change again.
Apologies for all the trouble caused with this update but the most important part of this fork was successful. Keep an eye out for a newer version soon changing the blocktime.

Is it just me or are there going to be WAAAAAAAAAY less coins than stated in the OP?

Anyone seen payments into their wallet yet? Dwarf has some payments that show Tx that can be found on the block explorer but I cannot find my wallet address...

My wallet was not syncing, it was stuck at some block. So I backed up my Wallet.dat file and then I deleted whole AppData\Roaming\cleanwatercoin\ folder. I have resynced the wallet again and following happened:
1) Wallet seems to be synced now
2) I see all transactions
3) Balance is 0!!!!! I think my coins are on some other fork, right?
Open the rpc console (Help->Debug and select RPC Console) Type: checkwallet (it should show you what is missing) Then type: repairwallet (it will show you the same, but it should recover them at the same time) What happened is this: Your wallet created PoS blocks from the transactions it had in the wrong chain (which is the reason you couldn't sync in the 1st place). When you replaced your wallet.dat with a new one, you were not broadcasting false PoS blocks anymore, so it synced just fine. When you replaced the wallet.dat, your wallet restored the info that you have transactions that are staking, but in reality in the real blockchain you had no transaction waiting to be confirmed. So, that's why you saw the 0 balance. Checkwallet rechecks all transactions one-by-one and syncs the transactions that are kept in wallet.dat with the transactions from the blockchain and replaces the differences it might have. Some guys have set up pools, other have set up their miners, maybe some have rent miners : if the dev didn't want to launch the coin he should have said it.

Again : You can't change the rules just like that without a sufficient delay. Some guys here have a job IRL, and they just can't be monitoring their rigs or reading btctalk every minute. This morning I was still mining minerals even if the rules had changed without a sufficient delay. But I saw, after having lost many shares cause of the workers number change, that my hashrate with only 1 worker for 5 rigs was around half my hashrate with 5 workers/ 5rigs, and I was about to be away for 24 hours. I was fed up with changing rules, low hashrate on pool with only 1 worker and, most of all, afraid of a possible new change in the minerals mining rules : downto 25 MH/S? upto 100 MH/s? 2 workers? 10 workers? X11 -> X13? who knows? So i just switched my rigs another altcoin... Minerals looked great at first sight, but changing rules + no wallets it's just too much for me : not reliable enough to spend electricity on it. Ho btw I almost forgot, I switched to Saffron-X11. I didn't expect such a pump, good choice finally |

A good solution??? Do you tell that because you had only one worker, or because you were reading this thread when it was announced? That's totally unbelievable  : the rules changed just in the middle of the game. I call that cheating. At launch I could use 5 workers (just as usual, one worker/rig) with no more than 50 MH/s <= it was the only rule, but now it's <50 and only one worker. it's just crazy. I lost 80% of my shares. Thank you very much devs and pools owners. I seem after the shitcoins and the scamcoins time has come for the cheatcoins. is there any new rule planned for the night ? |

Ok came to another deduction is that the problem is with the scrypt and groestl algos. Their blocks overwrite the others. SHA256 is fine.
We need your opinions to strip out Scrypt and Groestl.
Please give your views so we can do this fast and make SFR a 3 algo coin - sha,X11,blake.
block 116297 here. But now I'm solomining with just 2 gpus. groestl was fine for me and a also lot of miners with old AMD gpus. But if the solution is to keep X11 and blake and stop scrypt and groestl i'm in. I don't like scrypt these days. too much heat for summer and too many asics coming soon. |
