41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We do not need government and bank any more on: July 14, 2018, 09:27:36 AM
With the fast developing blockchain technology, more and more people are getting involved in the blockchain world. The human being has been evolving so many years, we went through the period of the primitive society, the agricultural revolution, the industrial revolution, and the Internet revolution. It's time to change, we now need to enter a new era, a decentralized era, we got to trust each other with the technology, but not with the third parties. Government is third parties, the bank is third parties, all the giant company are third parties. Why they want to hinder the development of blockchain or ICO. Because they are afraid, there are no more people they can get benefit from.

That is so dumb. If you remove the government from every country, the world will be filled with chaos and there will be riots every where. Without banks, economy in every country will be disrupted and there will again be chaos. I don't think that's what you want do you?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Future in Crypto on: July 14, 2018, 09:16:15 AM
Yes it is good if you don't have a job before joining crypto world but I will like to seek ideas from those that have reasonable jobs and I really want to know if you truly believe in Crypto so as to give away your job and fully dedicate full time to crypto or its not worth leaving everything because I see it as a long journey which I need to learn everyday.

Well, if I am to state my honest opinion regarding crypto, it is not as stable as having a regular job. However, it can provide you means for living which is the basic need of people. But in the long run, you need to be doing something else as well. Just because you have money doesn't mean you should stop living your life
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Persistence is more important than luck? on: July 14, 2018, 09:10:05 AM
At the beginning of my participation in the bounty, I, like all the novices, made a lot of mistakes. Send reports on time. Late for the day. Error. Read the bounty conditions carefully. Not enough posts. Error. Check the terms of the project. The bounty has already ended. Error. Register, check. Site, telegram, google-form. Oops. Error. Grin And many others.
In order to receive profit from the work of the bounty hunter, you need to be careful. And patient. The first adequate arrival from my work appeared only after 3 months. And while this is not a comparable amount with what the old bounties get.
What is this post about? About patience. About attention. About perseverance.
If you decided to participate in the bounty, be careful. Check and double-check yourself. Do not be lazy to see the bounty conditions again. Once again. They are sometimes changed.
Be persistent. To avoid mistakes, you need time. If you came here, try. Study the project, its product, the team. Develop your profile on the forum. Read, ask, write. Do not grasp everything at once. Take a drop. 10 good projects can be more profitable than 90, taken just like that.
Be patient. Do not expect to buy a car tomorrow-a week, a month. Here time is your ally. Having received the first tokens, do not bother to sell to the stock exchange. Watch the market. Where the movement is going. What are the forecasts. Having fallen into a state of panic and hurrying to sell the first earned coins, you can miss a significant profit.
Attention, persevere, patience. In my opinion these are the qualities on which your future profit is held.

Well, that is true not just in the cryptocurrency market but rather the whole life itself. More than luck or talent, nothing beats perseverance, hard work and patience. Having these qualities will make bring you riches and true wealth.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: July 14, 2018, 09:01:53 AM
I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it's way to early to be selling your altcoins. It's like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

So tell me, why are you selling your altscoins so soon?

Well, number one reason for selling altcoins so soon is because people are actually in need of moneyr. Who knows maybe some sort of instance where they need urgent money, came up.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: July 14, 2018, 08:07:13 AM
How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!

There's no such thing as an ideal number to start with. It all depends on your capacity. For example if I say you should invest 3 mil USD, would you do that? Course not because ideal number depends on the person. I suggest since you're new here, spend some money that you don't mind losing.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: July 08, 2018, 01:33:01 PM
I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.

UPD Best Advices:
  • learn about previous ICO projects, select viable ones and participate similar ICOs
  • invest in an ICO with a working prototype only

The best way to avoid scam is to make a thorough research first of the underlying project of each cryptocurrency that you are planning to join at. Make sure you know the project very well as well as the reputation of the team behind the coin.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrencies vs world cup on: July 07, 2018, 12:04:15 PM
Does the world cup affect the price of bitcoin and altcoin in the market....?
How do you think...

What the hell is wrong with the posts these past few weeks. Everyone just posts now for the sake of being able to post even if it is some nonsense and stupid question. Please post something related to altcoin discussions. This is crazy and completely unrelated and should be deleted.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: July 07, 2018, 11:56:12 AM
Based on the success and free time that I have, I have decided to research the top 200 altcoins and release at least one analysis of them a day. Will release the results in this group (first 500 to join will get access to the premium group) Link below...

https://t.me/CookieCrypto

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

Well that's a lot. Now you just have to wait until the market gets back up. Don't sell now because the market is at the rock bottom. That 12 bitcoin makes you a millionaire.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you still afraid of? on: July 06, 2018, 03:38:24 PM
Some people have been afraid of crypto for quite some time now. I feel majority ought to have overcome this fear.
- People still panic and loose their profits.
- Some panic and loose participating in good projects.
- Some panic is loose their holding.
- Some panic and miss the opportunities in crypto.
If fear does not do any good, why do we then still fear?

Because it is the nature of people to become afraid of things that are uncertain to them. It's a lot weirder if you are not afraid by the looks of the market and how it is developing right now. Things are getting worse..
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Future of cryptocurrency this 2018 on: July 06, 2018, 03:36:08 PM
Hi everyone, I have read a lot of information and comments about the ETH.. A lot of people are trusting and confident that ETH has a lot of potential in terms of growth. But I also see a lot of comments that it's a myth and that those people who are confident are like that because they are hoping for ETH to bubble up like btc did once before. So I would like to know what do you think will happen to BTC, ETH and the whole crypto market this 2018. Is it possible to have a bullish market again?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: July 06, 2018, 03:33:09 PM
I have already joined hundreds of airdrops but I got nothing until now. I will never join AirDrop programs any more.
- Each airdrop rewards only some token, that its value from $5 to $20 (calculated by the ICO price)
- Most of the token are dead now (just spammed projects or shit coins)
- Some tokens have been listed on Coinmarketcap now but the token price is terrible low. The value even equal to the transaction fee if I send the tokens to exchanges.

Airdrops are just a waste of time and effort. You gain nothing from it. Maybe some good and legitimate ones but most are usually scams that just want to get info out of you or waste your time.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it really worth it to invest in ICO? on: July 06, 2018, 06:14:31 AM
I am wondering about people investing in an ICO if it is really worth because base on my obvservation there are many investors on ICO period and i do not know some would always say that investing in an ICO is risky. I would like to get the investors idea directly if they were really successful in their investment  or the haters that say investing in ICO risky is really true. This is also more like a small study for future references that someday i am going to invest in an ICO since i have seen  a great potential in investing on it. Thus, i have seen many discounts offering bonuses and that is the good thing that happen in joining in ICO investments. Hopefully i could get some answers in the forum.

Yes it is worth investing in ICO. But keep always in mind that there is always risk when you are investing. Especially because we are talking about as shaky and unstable as cryptocurrency. Not that I am against ICO's but in the end, everything falls down to knowing what you're getting into.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: July 06, 2018, 06:12:21 AM
I think a website like ICObench, ICOrating only as one of the reference factors when we will invest on a project. But we also should not be too trust in these websites. The best result is when we do our own research on the project that we will invest.

So  the ico rating website is just one of our references when we going to do deeper research on a project. That's my opinion. Btw sorry for my bad english and thanks!

ICO Ratings are a good source of information and must be one of the considerations when looking at the ICO's. Whoever, the top criteria in determining the value of an ICO should not be based on this but rather, be based on your own research.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's Time to Buy Alt Coin on: July 06, 2018, 05:59:00 AM
Look at the price, what's happening, it's all affect of hard forking, which will be happening in 3rd week of October. But now we can see the reaction of the market. Just wait couple of days more, All Alt coin price will hit rock bottom. It is good chance to buy or invest in alt coin, if you want to get into few new coins.

I second this motion. Will be doing this in three of four days maybe. I'm just going to hold my coins for now and wait for few months. In few months time, the market should become a lot better.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining will ever stop ? on: July 01, 2018, 03:00:05 AM
Hello people, i'm new in the crypto worlds , i have two questions please i need logic answers .

1 - will mining will ever stop Huh?

2 - what will happens when the cryptocurrency reaches it limits ( example : bitcoin 21M , ETH .... , and other curriencies ) ? will they win money after the currencies reaches its limits ?

thank you !

I think mining will never stop as long as there are any coins that could be mining and if the supply reaches the limits, then we can move to another coin that will give us a profit. I am sure that there are many coins that we can mine and the price for each coin will increase and if we are saving a lot of coin from mining, then I think our profit will be big. they will win the money if they can save their coins and only wait until the price increases high.

Meh mining will never stop. Because if a large number of miners would stop mining, the demand and reward for the miners will also go up. which means people will go back to mining again.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: July 01, 2018, 02:56:37 AM
Ethereum SCAM?

Quote
NOW EXIST 92,000,000 ETH COINS:
https://etherscan.io/chart/ethersupplygrowth
MINING WAS OPEN IN 2015:
https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrate
BUT IN THIS MOMENT WAS ALREADY EXIST 70,000,000 COINS = 14,000,000,000 $
SO FOUNDER HAVE 77% COINS
BITCOIN FOUNDER HAVE NOT MORE THAN 11% COINS
FOR Ethereum FOUNDER % BECOME 11% NEED 50 YEARS MORE
poloniex FULL STACK OF ETH/BTC AND ETH/USD - 32,400,000$
https://etherscan.io/chart/ethersupply
DAILY NEW COUNS - 30,000 ETH * 330$ = 9,900,000$ - IT WILL GROWUP WITH PRICE
https://blockchain.info/stats
1,650 BTC PER DAY - 5,840,127$
95% OF EARTH'S POPULATION CANNOT THINK BY YOURSELF AND DO SAME LIKE NEARHOODS

I don't think this is true and most likely this data is the scam itself. There are many good projects under etherium and many people are investing a lot in it. This is just a way to damage the reputation of Etherium.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Neo Making A move on: July 01, 2018, 02:54:53 AM
the current price of neo is a bit low as of the moment this is normal,
but im seeing this coin by end of 2018 at 200 usd, good projects are coming out
supports are already aligning and is moving to overtake ethereum although this might take
like 5 years or less but once they already establish with more investors and more public
appearance this might change a lot for neo,
what are your calls fellow bitcointalk members?

The market is still down and only getting pumps so I cannot say for sure.. But Neo sure is growing in number and there is a good chance that the coin will reach that market rate. Not just this 2018 I think
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i invest ? on: July 01, 2018, 02:52:49 AM
Should i invest certain amount on TRX and Cardano ?

just need opinion.

Drop those coins and just invest on btc, eth, xrp, eos and neo. But well since you need recommendation, I would suggest just go for both. Both have a very good potential so why not?
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is better? on: June 30, 2018, 11:58:55 AM
Hey guys, do you think It is better to hold main crypto currencies like bitcoin it ether? Or you hold all your money in alt coins?

Investors always play safe dude. No one does it like having just one crypto. Everyone expands their portfolio into around 5 different coins and placing their bets on each of the 5 coins.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants on: June 30, 2018, 11:57:45 AM
Hello community!
What do you think about popularity of the bounty campaigns? I see many new participants joining bounty campaigns, especially Twitter and Facebook. With more and more new participants, we will earn less and less rewards, also many of potential buyers would rather join bounty campaign than invest to ICO - again less rewards for bounty participants.
I hope that we will see some regulations here and bounty campaigns be more strict in rules and they will choose only the best participants.
So, what is your opinion, guys?

If that will be the case, then there should be an increase in the market value or rates of the bounty campaigns which would most likely be disadvantage to the investors. I think there has to really be some regulation but not to that level.
